You can try Bellwether by Connie Willis. Short and clever
  4. ye there are still plenty of living legends left not all of them still active though. OT never was a big fan either but no doubt he did left his print on pop history I remember i had nightmares back then after i saw Thriller's video for the first time :)

  6. That was basically my idea, but lets make it 15 it'll be more intresting
  7. This wont work either. Suppose one person rates his favorite movie which noone else seen 10. The average for that movie, according to your calc, is 10... I still think that rating 20 movies of the list and summing up all the scores (without dividing) will reflect this forum's movie taste better.
  8. This method can't work. I think what i suggested earlier was better [hide=better voting method] [/hide]

    Live Concerts

The Pixies on tour again :o why dont they come here :wall: Saw the Breeders last summer,it was great, but i think most of the people in the crowd, like me, treated as substitue for the real thing. Gonna go see Faith No More ,at least i might have a chance to make up for the (terrible) mistake of not seeing them in their last visit here. "its a middle life crisssesss.."

The Bourne Identity 96. The Bourne Supremacy 97. The Bourne Ultimatum 108. The Usual Suspects[/hide] and Bladerunner should be on the list as well
  11. clues are good source of a slayer income if you do them efficiently. Good example are spectators which usually benefits 200k+ per task only of clues.
  12. from: http://www.alarabiya.net/articles/2009/06/21/76567.html Maybe something will come out of it eventually
  13. Vantage Point - ok i guess.. 2.5/5
  14. few more (if the list is stilll updated) - Fargo - Miller's Crossing - The Untouchables - One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
  15. Yeah, we'll just see how that works out. Sorry for sounding pessimistic, but don't you think that sort of organization is a bit too hectic unless this was an official poll? And if it was, I don't see them fitting 200-300 options for it. What about opening a new thread where people can rank 10-20 movies of the compiled list giving each movie a rank between 1 to 10. Afterwards we can sum up the ranks and there you go... I believe it should work - not that the final list will be yours or mine dream list but it will reflect this forum's taste more or less accuratly
  16. i agree with Dan(How2). "Deep and meaningfull" are subjective and as said, this list is not about few people's personal taste. Maybe after having like 200-300 movies we can do a ranking-based filtering which will leave the top 100.
  17. The Butthole Surfers cover of Donovan's Hurdy Gurdy Man is an old favorite of mine [yt]76yWZcsgwF8[/yt]
  18. - Full Metal Jacket - Reservoir Dogs - Do the Right Thing - Goodfellas also if Wall-E's there then Shrek should also. BTW , you listed pulp fiction twice (34 & 63)
  19. http://www.express.co.uk/football/view/107435/Sir-Alex-wants-Torres-to-be-the-new-Ronaldo Hope it wont happen..but if it will ,according to the new price standards Perez set, Liverpool should raise the price tag.
  20. yep. RadioHead cover for the Smithes' Headmaster Ritual. [yt]LtmS2ePSSdU[/yt] Good cover but without any sort of interpretation. They simply play it and play it good. SonicYouth cover for The Carpenters's Superstar was also nice [yt]BRiyN_Zn5L8[/yt]
  21. Not underestimating Eto - i think he's a great scorer But Ibrahimovic..well he's something else,Ibrahimovic has the spark ,people pay money to see his type of players. You can love or hate Ronaldo but you have to admit - the dude is a lethal football machine. Speed, strengh, kick, headers, dribble - he has it all.
  22. Rumours about possible trade between Barca & Inter. Etto+ 10 mil for Ibrahimovic.
  23. been to Petra-Jordan on a one day trip last week(part of weekend in Eilat) [hide=quite impressive sights there] [/hide] definitely worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood. but a part of this trip...probably no vaction this year (low budget) :(
  24. Mexico 70 - but who's counting ;) anyway i believe we gonna stay (again) at home. Dont have any real favorites on a team level. just hope it will be as good as the euro. i'd love to see Argentina playing postive football for a change. Though currently things doesn't look too good for them, they do have the potential for building a remarkable team. I'll also follow Spain (for Torres),Holland (tradition) and maybe England (dont know why, habit maybe ?).
