  1. Juno. 3 times in the last 24 hours. First time was at 8pm last night, then at 12pm, then at 12:30 today. :) So awesome.
  2. Joe Pass is my favourite. Or maybe Buckethead. Django Reinhardt, Paul Waggoner, and Andrés Segovia are/were pretty alright as well. I'm not gonna bother touching who the "best" guitarist is. These are just my favourites. I've never understood why everyone thinks Jimi Hendrix was such an amazing guitarist. He had the feel, but in terms of technical skill, he was nowhere near the top.
  3. I honestly don't know what type of music you'd like, so I'll just recommend you the greatest band ever, . Probably the 4th time I've recommended them to someone on this thread, but whatever. The song I linked is Selkies: The Endless Obsession from their 2005 release, Alaska. As for an album to check out, definitely start with their 2007 release, Colors (listen to it from the start to the finish as well!). At Mlb: Thanks for the rec. I already know of Chevelle--they were actually the first metal band that I got into! Haven't listened to them in a while though. I'll probably re-check them out simply for nostalgia's sake. :) [Last.FM]
  4. Juno! Honestly.
  5. 2/10 Name is familiar, but I don't recognize the sig or avvy at all.

I'm not a fan of any of their music, but that has nothing to do with them being "too mainstream".
  7. Moëvöt - Ezleyfbdrehtr Vepreub Zuerfl Mazagvatre Erbbedrea (Album)
  8. Based on you apparently liking Ambient, and that you're listening to an LLN band at the moment, I'm going to recommend Moëvöt. I wouldn't be surprised if you thought they were absolute rubbish, but I like them, so it's worth a shot. As for album, try Ezleyfbdrehtr Vepreub Zuerfl Mazagvatre Erbbedrea. You will have to download them if you want to listen to it though. The CDs are are pretty well impossible to get. (The song in the link is Zurghtapre - Chant d'Eternité I from Abgzvoryathre.) 9. Both of them suck IMO.
  10. News like this makes me happy. :)
  11. In before "masturbate". I like to rock out in front of the mirror to music in my head. Not too much to music I'm actually listening to though, which is a bit weird.
  12. I've never been a huge fan of Thrash, so I can't recommend you anything on that. One Sludge/Doom band I've been liking recently though is Acid Bath. I was trying to think of a song of theirs that kind of epitomizes their style, but I couldn't, so I just linked you my favourite song by them. As for an album to start with, you could try Paegan Terrorism Tactics. And at thered: You're right, I didn't need to be harsh. Sorry about that. If you liked A Silver Mt. Zion, you might like some other Post-Rock. If you're new to the genre, definitely have a listen to . They're quite famous, so you've probably already heard of them. If you have heard of them, send me a PM and I'll recommend you something else. [Last.FM]
  13. I am better than you. What's your point?
  14. Dead Kennedys - Holiday in Cambodia Listening to it based on a recommendation. Can't say I'm a huge fan..
  15. No.. It's not. In any given environment/community (in this case, this forum), for your opinion to have any worth to anybody else, you have to show yourself worthy of respect, and worthy of being listened to. As of yet, all you've shown is that you ignorantly despise a specific genre of music, probably have no significant musical skill or prowess, have no skills in debating, and probably have no knowledge of debating "etiquette". None of that is worthy of respect. So as of yet, your opinion holds little to no weight on these forums, and it will remain that way until you stop being a little ignorant [bleep]head. And don't reply with something like, "Oh, I don't care what you think, you're all RuneScape-playing nerds who could never get any girl. Enjoy your acne, losers!" No one gives a [cabbage].

You could, you know, go back to the comic you read last. Or if you mean you lost your place, I tend to just bookmark where I'm up to on comic sites. I regularly read 10+ comic sites, so if I don't do that I get lost really easily.
  17. Very good point. I think the thing is, I'm very confident in who I am. I'm not really emo, but I have black, striaghtened hair with an excessively long fringe, and I wear metal shirts. So when I walk down the street people often shout at me, but I take that as a good thing. Any attention is good attention sort of thing. So I tend to act based on how I think I would respond if I were in the other person's shoes, which perhaps isn't a good thing, as not everyone is as confident in themselves as I am. Wow you're so freaking cool you must be such a beast irl. Inorit? :
  18. I'm always up for racist/sexist jokes. Always.
  19. Who's my favourite Tip.It-er? Hm... ABYSSALWHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've always liked Nadril's posts. I remember when I first came to OT, he was the first poster I saw, and I thought "How the hell does he have such a high post count, but I've never seen him?" (It was like 8000 or something). I like Warrior's debating skills. And I always enjoy reading Lenin64's or Zonorhc's posts. There are lots of other people that I like, because they're nice to me, but those are probably the main people whos posts I really look out for. So yeah. Basically the standard people that everyone is mentioning.
  20. I hate you so very much. But Nirvana. Now.. must resist urge to make a topic called "Burzum or Darkthrone"..
  21. I know! Since when has Hollywood ever had the right to make things unrealistic!? What is this world coming to when we can't even trust movies to be factually accurate? I can kind of see what he's saying though. It's nice when the writers of a movie can be bothered to think up a realistic setting.
  22. Haha, yeah. I don't mind Viking Metal, simply because it's the closest thing to happy music that the metal genre has. I think you should have a listen to Anaal Nathrakh. After you have a laugh at the name, of course. They're Black Metal, with elements of Grindcore, Death Metal, and Industrial. Mick Kenney, the guy who writes the music for the band, said that he basically takes everything he likes from the extreme sub-genres of metal, and melts it all together. If you're going to check them out.. my order of favouritism in terms of their albums would go: Hell is Empty, and All the Devils are Here>The Codex Necro>Eschaton>Domine Non Es Dignus>Their EPs and stuff.
