I use barrows armour all the time... My preference is verac... for KQ among other things. Yes the stats are better with barrows equipment but also it takes stats to use them. Price has nothing to do with stats - supply and demand drive that - ie. take a comparison between fremmy helms and d meds pr crystal shield vs d square... allpies the same here with barrows... want a cheap plus 2 str buy some climbing boots for 12gp... compare that to your rune boots. D chain is an elitist thing - wearing your money, or people just like the look. Overpowering, I think not - if you feel that way maybe Jagex should have stopped at rune. My flail hits almost as high as my whip but is slower. Hey, here are my max hits with a greataxe vs a d hally, etc... now mind you Im' speaking forcing the highest I can get out due to my equipment... I've 85 str. Greataxe - loss of 70hp, aggressive attack, ultimate prayer, sup str pot, Glory, Gauntlets and climbing boots, Max hit is 54 D hally - aggressive attack, ultimate prayer, sup str pot, Glory, Gauntlets and climbing boots, Max hit is 34 - special now if creature is big make that two 34's = 68. Abby Whip - controlled attack, ultimate prayer, sup str pot, Glory, Gauntlets and climbing boots, Max hit is 32 - add in my obby shield max is 33. Dragon Dagger - aggressive attack, ultimate prayer, sup str pot, Glory, Gauntlets and climbing boots, Max hit is 23 special 46, add in obby shield max is 24 special 48. Now compare that? Does that greataxe look that overpowering considering I can actually attack quicker with a whip or a dds, and compared to the D hally - I'd say the D Hally which is just slightly quicker than the greataxe has it's advantages under certain situations - ie.) I took down a blue with 30 30 the other day when I ran out of arrows. Considering I get two attacks witha whip or DD per greataxe swing plus I'd have to pray (or risk dying) to keep my hp at the low level and counter eat... the greataxe is not what you make it out to be. Quote: alot of people who play rs nowdays have 100mill+ ? Not me I have more invested in my melee armour than cash I have in the bank.

A whip is only a 40k item - shop. Most Dragon items are a higher price... Also some barrows items will also fall into this area... and yes it's a scam in a way, to do so is a elaborate scheme intended to get the item through deception ... not from an honest fight. I for one would not figure out why anyone in thier right mind would accept something from someone who just attacked them? To me that's just plain ignorance. Rule number one of the wild is do not take anything there you cannot replace immediately - back on f2p I used to pk a lot after I had nomore quests to keep me busy... I often felt bad for those we pk'd as it was typically using ambush tactics and many we pk'd there had a different agenda rather than pking. Taking advantage of someone due to them being naive seems to be cheating to me - even in the wild.

I hate looking thru a sextant with people around... let alone bringing up a trade with someone you don't know in the wild. Most likely his friend came up and maged you while the trade was up... probably looked up your stats before meeting you.

Much coal is already 1 click now... fact is 1 click mith and addy happen more frequently for me. Hopefully, the pick increases this, unlike the d wc axe which cuts logs about equal to the rune wc axe.

I like my cannon but i rarely get to use it because I am polite. I understand others wish to train too... I think I killed the blue in the heros guild twice, always go somewhere else for blues. I like to take my cannon to multi-combat zones like daganoths and kalphite - fast range xp. Problem is wherever you go there is bound to be someone show up and be disapponted because that's a killing machine.

I make and use them against some slayer monsters - especially specters - in place of an elemental shield. Also making them is a little bit of craft xp. PS: You do no the special effects against opponents - white/blue - lowers thier attack, Green - lowers thier defense and orange - lowers thier strength. I'm actually up to my ears in shields and books but I use them for different things.

Makes no sence to use it until it is full My book of balance is full, my holy book just two pages and of course did not bother with the unholy book since the holy book is not full yet. It's not that i can't fill the rest ... just too lazy. ps: I'd rather have a book of Seren or Zaros...

World 2 is not good for that thype of thing... believe it or not it's good for treasure trails and cutting magic in Isafdar by Lletya. It's a great world to be alone as everyone else is marketing in Fally and the other banks.

Please be Eastern Lands, please be Eastern Lands...
bflat0 replied to maveritchell's topic in General Discussion
you can't believe everything that is on wikipedia, and you certainly can't assume that the chinese were the first people to invent it, note that the western civilization was oblivious to the the eastern civilization until Marco Polo explored that area. the islamic civilisation made contact with the chinese before the first crusade (in the 12th century), where they may have found that crossbow. Then the crusade and the islamic settlment in corduba could easily have exposed the information to the europeans. i'm not saying this is true, however it is completely possible either it is possible or it is impossible and we do not know anything until we ask a professional historian, the internet is quite deceiving sometimes. no, i know the islamic civisation made contact with the chinese in the 12th century, and i know they had a settlemnt in corduba - what i meant was that i don;t know if this is the way it happened - this is just a way it could have happened ok, I understand now The Islamic people were not the first. China traded Rome in 70 AD along with other Western kingdoms after the introduction of the Silk Road. *Is a History major, and is specializing in Asian History* Alexander the Great and those before him had eastern contacts... but non of this has to do with rs what soever. -
A mortgage;-)

The most annoying thing is I constantly get random events at the worst times you can get them. ie.) Near end of doing DT in the pyramid bottom floor - got a maze - afterwards placed me back right on a trap. ie.) Nothing like a dwarf throwing rocks at you while meleeing a steel dragon. ie.) Middle of long dialog - tests - in recruitment, get a mime. Now tell me why they allow some random event come at you when you're doing something that can't possibly be macro'd?

The latest batch of quests ie. devious minds seem to be very short - should not even count as a quest - MEP2 was the last decent quest realeased imo. I'd like to see MEP3 or the sequel to devious minds amount to something... I like the fact that they are taking thier time and sequeling the quests but i think a few are due to a close in theme - ie. do not wish to see a MEP4, MEP5, etc.... get's to be like bad movie sequels. Three or four parts is best for a story line... we've already run thru like 6 with the elves/mourners. I do not use a guide ... some quest seem rather long while other short for what they entail in rewards and theme. I don't think a super long quest is good nor is a short one. Something inbetween is what they need... and not with the difficultly of the quest being the travel either - most of the time in mm and dt was the travel and not the actual time to deal with puzzles or bosses... mep2 and the pass were very good keeping you centralized.

You can only have one growing at a time. You can keep as many seeds as you want. I know noone who has gotten multiple seeds of this type... I got mine before farming was introduced - as a drop from a tree spirit. It has been in the bank ever since.

I don't think that's an answer either... I always cut magics in Isafdar by Lletya - never a noob there - but does not mean you don't find people to aggrivate you. When Bflat0 first left the welcoming center - as I like to call it - went right to work killing chickens, cows and mining... was F2P back then. Not very knowledgeable and wearing bronze... within those first few hours added two friends - who were a few CB levels higher - while mining tin and copper. Those two so-called friends asked me to follow them into the wild to pick bones - 1st wild experience and really quite dangerous at my level in that high of wild - They proceded to pounce on me - to kill me of course - had a few pieces of food and ran south... luckily for me as they chased me down a mage showed up and blasted one to lumby, the other stopped chasing me and fled. I personally had never begged for anything... had asked many people questions on what I was doing. Had been given a thing or two from time to time by friends, never asked for a thing rather than friendship though. Early on though I learned really there are few people you can trust... especially the younger ones. The bulk of people seem to think the game is more about what you have rather than who you are. I prefer to just ask these people if they want a job... have them collect cowhide, feathers, limpwort or mine. heck I'd buy them a pick or an axe and front them a few k... even give them a somewhat decent item for thier level. Most end up a pain at first because they have so many questions - eventually they catch on and cut thier own apron strings.

My fave would be Elude - for recharging my tele so often. NPC's I sometimes dislike are: Duradel. I actually love to hate him after he assigns 197 iron dragons back to back with steel dragons. I also do not like any NPC who gives mea dang slide puzzle... where do they get those things? Not that i can't do them ... I've gotten to be a pro, but i think these npc's are very lazy holding back the next clue - blackmail - until I solve thier little toy? I mean really.;-)

Last night... well wee hours of the morn - I helped a friend do the digsite quest. Just running from Varrock and back and forth from the site to the exam place with her following. She does not have high agility - in around 50 - and was actually carrying way less weight than I - was nice enought to be her pack mule;-). Now not that I'm much higher - only 70 agility - but in constant runs she would run out of energy a lot quicker than I would... fact is when she was at 0% I was still way over 50% most the time.

I understand the issue - but I think blocking them off would be a bad idea. At least for me, and I'll explain, I am not a level 85 slayer - unfortunately 74 working my way up - I've been up in that room a few times, never begged, or scavanged, In fact the 1st time I was there was up thier was right after I became a member... You know what? That one room is what made me want to do slayer assignments in the first place. Not for abby whips - though it would be nice - but because the the fighting was so interesting to watch... the teleing around etc... I was bitten by a slayer bug. I told myself if there was one skill I had to have it was going to be a slayer high enough to fight abby demons. It's taking me a while but I feel I'm half way there, I do not know if it would be worth while down the road, but it was watching people fight abbys which lit the fire under me. I truely believe blocking off rooms to people would generate less interest in the skill... may be good for those who have high levels in it already... but to those who don't seeing things first hand helps.

What are the results of the mass ban - higher prices
bflat0 replied to Nazgul740's topic in General Discussion
It will have little affect on prices... the price of magic logs for instance is directly proportionate to the high alch value of a magic long and a nat. Can't go up very much cause the demand will stop... -
Will 5k autoer In Runescape 2 be banned next? Told you so!!
bflat0 replied to Biabf's topic in General Discussion
Well of course they will ban the autoer's it's against the rules... Although I've never knew so before - and have never used one - text macro'ers are also against the rules - had a friend banned for one. Personally i think it's good for them to remove the people who cheat. -
Maybe your combat lvl is getting high and you need to be more picky about you training.

Pick the flax in Lletya (the elven village - opened by accepting mourner's part 1) - the flax is right next to the bank... It is questionable as to where to spin it into strings... Lletya and Seers seem to be as quick for me but friends of mine swear by seers. I've always done stringing as you've described just never at CW before... I guess I'll try it there from now on.
-
how do you get into there??? do regicide, you will find out {search regicide on tip.it's quests guides and follow the guide{{i know its kinda noobie, but its v hard without the guide, u need to have done underground pass too}} I've done it, but i still cant get into the city . . .??? You must do roving elves and accept mourner's end part 1 to gain access to Lettya.
-
It's in Tirannwn (elf lands) hidden to the east of the forrest Isafdar - until you accept the quest mourners end part 1 you cannot access or see it.
-
I think every skill is usefull to some point... ie. farming had done wonders for my herblore.... though I do think it had little effect on my cooking the way Jagex had intended. All in all carpentry makes sence as a related skill to wc and POH in the grandscheme of rs. Whether it will be enjoyable or intolorable remains to be seen.

Land Sales Would Save the Runescape Economy
bflat0 replied to r2-pleasent's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
What applies to the rares also applies to the commodities... I agree that the ever shrinking gp may be a problem eventually but high alching has little to do with it - people would use the store instead. Also I highly doubt that auctioning off housing plots would serve little but upset those who can't compete with the millionares at the time.
