Yes, sorry about that. At least 2 people got critically injured and alot more folks (reports range from a few to a dozen) got shot at. While I learned police don't actually get paid leave, they sure as hell don't face the same procedures ordinary folks do...especially in this situation where Dorner was reported being over 50 miles away (from Torrance to Big Bear, that's on the other side of the metropolitian area). Seems illogical why they would be so paranoid to fire on a truck with two women in it when Christopher Dorner is, in fact, a man.

Warfare is moving more towards urban combat nowadays and you don't need to be invading a first world country to be fighting in such cities. Every major city in the world has a complex series of roads, highways, bridges, and the building layout that comes with them.

Wow, MultiMC is a wonderful tool. Makes installing mods so easy...well, it was easy before, it just was a pain if you found an incompatibility. Plenty O'Biomes is just absolutely beautiful, probably the best mod ever made. After I get some mods I think I'm set to return to Minecraft. 8-)

Weren't you building New York? Being a pizza delievery driver, I get to see a large variety of homes and apartment complexes. The richer houses around here have courtyards in them and some of the apartment complexes have very nice walkways/parks. Makes me want to go back into Minecraft and build cities like I used to...

Yes: if you made any income, you should get a W-2. It may vary from state-to-state and business-to-business, but it's possible that they are sent out based on your Social Security Number. Or it may depend on your zipcode. One of my coworkers got hers 2-3 days before I got mine. Hmm, alright. I'll ask tomorrow. See, this is the stuff they need to teach in high school. Taxation, financial systems, court processes, etc.

A very good question, I had similar thoughts before. Nicolas (my name) means "victory"/"victory of the people" in ancient Greek. Was some guy called Nicolas who did a very important victory? Or is Nicolas some word for victory, or an attached meaning? I'd really like to know as well.

So far, spent about $70 in books. They're actually normal books not textbooks, and thus, not overpriced. I need two more books that ARE textbooks at $75 a pop. Gonna wait to see if I actually need them before buying them.

That's why. College has no problem teaching world history instead of Euro-centric history. High schools do because it's shorter and easier to teach, and benefits national image. I'll ignore that comment about history being meaningless, though. :wink:

That's terrible to hear Maddy. My only advice is just keep pushing for proof, talk to the invigilator's boss, then to that's boss, etc until someone hears you out without all the bullshit. Don't change your story. If they want to [bleep] you over, they'll do it. But don't buckle down and make it easy for them. Request proof and don't be afraid to accuse the invigilator for not doing her job. Hopefully someone eventually will step in and stop it. --- That bill's terrible. Winnipeg, Canada. It actually hasn't gotten as cold as it usually does, we usually get a week in January where it's -30°C or colder. That's awful for an urban area. What are you paying per month? $15 or $20...and it's because, how to put this nicely...we live in the Mexican part of town. No point in denying that, we're a "poor" neighborhood so they don't think it's worth upgrading the cables. At the same time, they're supporting the push for digital products for poor and rich, yet don't upgrade the cables. The latter frustrates me greatly, more than the racial aspect...thats kinda given.
