  1. She feels violated, he goes to jail. Both are victims and neither are blameless. Sort of the tragedy of casual hookups. SHE feels violated? Dude, I feel like I slept with a cow. Where's my rights!!
  2. Rape is such an emotionally driven crime; the other day I got into a argument with my friend who said rape is worse than murder. Then with rape accusations, it's a case of guilty until proven innocent. I think it's society's outdated religious virtues playing a role in this: virginity and sexual actives are so sacred and private anybody who breaks them is the anti-Christ reincarnate.
  3. People who use their high beams in dense traffic. [bleep]es.
  4. It's wrong to take advantage of somebody when they're drunk. It's wrong to get so drunk that you loose your personal conduct. The latter just happens to be a lack of self-responsibility, and thus must be the greater of the two evils. I cannot agree ethically nor legally somebody is not responsible when they're drunk. Now, if you believe people have a right to get drunk safely, then we cannot ever agree.
  5. Self-responsibility, we need more it in society. Getting drunk does not excuse you from anything. It's not blaming the victim (so don't draw such lengths with rape) it's facing self-responsibility. You should drink with trusted friends first to get a hold of your tolerance, then apply self-restraint on other parties. I'm not feeling pity for people who drink. Where does the line end? The person taking advantage could be drunk too, is (s)he excused? If I murder somebody while drunk do I get an excuse? I completely agree. It's adding an emotional phrase to a logical problem: Drinking issues? Control yourself.

America should ban 3D printers. I mean...they'll destroy the remaining manufacturing business we have left! Jobs will go to China and our middle-class will be left jobless. Think of their children's college tuition, please! Oh, and the gun smuggling issue too. ...or you know, accept that not everything can be monitored. An unfortunate fact of reality.
  9. >Fook a Ji He lives! Damn, it was an age ago you were an regular here... As for the OP, correct grammar makes sentences readable at a consistent pace. I hate reading discussions at a normal-slow-normal-slow pace because one of the posters isn't writing out words or makes fragment/run-off sentences.

Time to change the voting franchise!
  12. Oh I do. It's either everybody hates FO3 or everybody hates NV. Then the older guys who hate anything not 1/2 related. I started a new game in Victoria 2 as well, aiming to commit to a full industrialization game as USA. Easy, sure, but I never focused on making an industry to beat UK.
  13. Well done, well done. Continue the slaughter! Fallout 3. Interesting I played New Vegas before this, but I just got into the Fallout mood and realized I know the story from 1 to NV, without much about the third...

A wild couple of days behind me. A friend of a friend got evicted from his house and we helped him transfer all his and his mother's stuff into a storage unit. It took two days and I slept only 4 hours in between to finish up before the sheriffs arrived in the morning. But we managed, now its up to them...both my friend and his mother have a decent job opportunity now and I hope it goes the best for them. The next couple of days were kinda depressing. It really sucks loosing someplace you called home, I can't imagine my family going through that. But alas, ce le vie. Got very good tips tonight, so I'm in a happier mood right now.

Just spent an hour writing my Warcraft fan-fiction to a lore forum in hopes of feedback. The things I do... :P
  18. I don't understand why we need top notch online security. If you have seperate e-mails accounts, one for entertainment the other for serious business-things, the worst a hacker would do is ruin your forum reputation. These are leisure sites, not serious life-ruining sites, that's what frustrates me. I've been online for 8 years and never have been compromised.

    Better start hoarding duct tape.
  21. Always prepare for the worst. Knowing how widespread cheating, fighting, and breakups are, you're a blind fool if you expect the absolute best from your relationship. Define what you want first: monogamy, polygamy, open-relationship, closed, etc. but, like always, don't entirely expect your partner to fulfill these defines until you really know them. Cynical, sure, but it seems like people find it easier to trust a girl becoming your girlfriend than a guy becoming your friend. What's the difference between friend and girlfriend in terms of trust, expectations, and reliability? In the early stages, not much. So why do people expect so much from their early-staged girlfriends? Social values, social pressures, and social traditions I'm guessing. Trust them explicitly, I don't care. Just don't be surprised when they cheat or breakup with you. Tread with caution.
  22. Its more of not investing so much to a particular girl and not expecting so much out of her. Date for two months, trust her more than your best friend? Ha, good luck with that.
  23. Eye is in the beholder, right? Then I may judge your beauty any way I want.

  25. I was about to bring that up. Imperialism is what makes these guys hate USA. Islam is part of the mainstream Arabic culture, so they use that as a support. To preserve their independence, they persue Islam. Very much in the American revolution, where they were fighting against British imperialism, they used the colonial liberty to support them. Instead of fighting "for freedom" these radical Islamists fight "for Allah". To say Islam is more violent than Christianity is irreveleant. It's not really an religious war, as all "religious" conflicts never were. It's a support, a morale and recruitment tactic, for the bigger goal: end to American-European imperialism. Before anybody takes me out of context, I'm merely explaining their rationale. I'm not defending terrorism or proposing an end for imperialism. That's a different discussion.
