In the Anglo northwest, anything Slavic is eastern European. So if it doesn't sound German or Italian, it's considered Eastern. At least that's the idea I'm getting from reading Anglo books/culture.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning It's a pretty interesting RPG. Reminds me a lot like Fable, but much better and alot more to do. Actually, it reminds me like a single-player WoW. Combat is addictingly fun.

Yeah, other people told me the same. I didn't figure they would give me powerful anesthesia, but everyone says they do. I get some of my best tips on Saturday too, oh well. :sad:

Anyone had their wisdom teeth removed? I've been told the surgery disables your ability to talk...I'd like to know if that's true or not, so I can call for a day off at work.

About the Height topic: I knew I would have to "work harder", in truth I was hoping to find some specific ideas/experience, but I figure now it's all irrelevant. Uhhh, so in other news I've found somebody I may be interested in one of my classes. She's not typically the build I go for but her personality sure is. If I may break the history lesson for a bit... I'd like to discuss the topic of height. I am not very tall, I am 5'3" / 160cm. I am short compared to average men in the area of the world I live in, most women I meet eye to eye with or are taller than me. I've been concerned about my height lately for some reason and I am curious how that would affect the dating scene. Most girls I've talked to say they don't consider it a factor, but I suspect they're saying that along the same lines as "I'd date a guy with good personality, even if he's ugly"...which we know is a lie/loosely-tied truth. Anybody has any experience with this? Does it affect you/someone you know?

It really is quite amazing how much time I had back then. RuneScape, General TIF, Off-topic TIF were all part of the same thing, it's how I spent my days as a young teenager (I guess you could call it 'tween'?). Now, if I have to invest 15 minutes into something it better be damn worthwhile. Back then, 15 minutes was fishing in Cathy and reading TIF for about three hours.

I do a lot of lurking and not enough posting (and when I post I don't contribute much...honestly I don't know how the hell I got so many total posts) so I'm gonna change that. I've been here since Christmas 2005, since middle school. Now I'm 20 year old college student/part time employee. You guys have been like my second group of friends, complete with the older, experience ones and the younger, friendlier ones. I don't know how you guys think of me, but I've always kinda assumed "That guy who posts occasionally but I don't know much of him". So I'm gonna give more life to Off-topic than I currently do, because this is a community truly worth being a part of.,,,but one that I never fully expressed myself in.

I mean to make people aware of the value of history. Loads of folks I talk to are ignorant (not stupid, just not knowing) of it's significance but I have difficulty trying to explain it to them. Either I start on a long boring explanation (which even I would get bored of) or start using cliches (history repeats itself, etc). In the end the person doesn't understand what I'm trying to say and I've changed nothing. It is not a matter of "they stupid, me smart"...I've learnt long ago that is not the case. But I'd like to tell people correct information about the world around them, instead of baseless assumptions they've read on Facebook or on the news. To teach them the skill to analyze the world around them is hard and its' not their fault for they haven't discovered the reasons why. I just can't find a good way to tell them without making it confusing or long and boring.

I'd love to explain the wonders of social studies, but I can't get "real" to them. OH my goal. Er, I guess to do a better job at school? One and a half [bleep]ing days trying to fix a mate's computer. We were getting pretty desperate, my friend paid quite a bit for this new computer and I felt guilty for recommending it. Thinking it was something to do with the harddrive, Windows 8, the CDROM, or the BiOS, turned out to be a faulty RAM stick. Exhausting and stressful day, barely had any sleep. Played "We are the Champions" when windows finally booted up.

I'll take it! I bought a 8GB thinking that's more than enough...Why must games be 8.2GB big?!

I step on and trip over so many guns it's not funny. When we were younger, we used to kick around a unloaded pistol sorta like a hacky sack. Nah, seriously, I've never seen a gun nor heard a gunshot. The only armed robbery I faced was when some pricks stole a piece off my car's rack off...armed with a screwdriver. And I wasn't even there!

Holy shit I do! RuneScape nostalgia is some of the best nostalgia. For some reason I'm reminded of the SwiftSwitch riots. No need to apologize! I was a good read, a nice change than the routine debates I get to read every morning to someone actually enjoying life.

It depends what you mean by sexuality. I had my first crush at 6 years old, I knew a bit earlier that girls and boys were different and supposed to be attracted to one another in a romantic type way. You would kiss or hold hands with your little girlfriend and have a good time. What I didn't know was sex, the incertion of my penis into her vagina. Never thought of that when I was 6, I knew what sex was when I was 10. (6th grade hit the world to me like a truck :razz: ) I find no problem with making kids (0-10ish) aware that there are differences between girls and boys and that the concept of romantic relationships exist. I do have a problem with kids having sex because of social pressures. Quite said most of these were rapes.
