  1. You said Estonians were cold and closed people, that they're not as open as Americans and would never do such promiscuous things as laying in bed, four of them, with a guy. Then you come along and break the Estonian way of life by making these four girls lay in bed with you. Just curious how you managed to do that, is all. And you may of mentioned the coldness in the Today thread.
  2. I thought Estonians were cold people? That kissing an Estonian would suck the soul out of your body??
  3. Me too. I don't participate in these discussions, as I don't have anything from experience to say, but I do read them and pass them on to my friends. Several times when discussing to my friends I've stopped myself and thought "Wow, did I really just sound like Muggi just then?" Muggi, you have really changed my views on relationships. But without people like y_guy obfuscator to participate in those discussions, it would of been one-sided and I would of ignored it. Both sides contrubuted to the discussion and I think it did more than what the posters thought it would.
  4. Troll-like? Not sure if sarcasm or... If I didn't know RPG, yeah, his recent postings would appear like a troll. But he's not a troll, he's just crazy.
  5. I like discussing social relationships. We're just slow at the moment with RPGs troll-like posts.

Which are the most important ones? It's totally up to personal choice, there aren't really any "overhaul" mods like in other games. [spoiler=Long post about SC4] However, I'd like to say the Network Addon Mod (NAM) is one of the most important. It adds a bunch of new road opitions, increases road capacity, adds streets, and a new highway system. All of these are configurable during the install too. Secondly important is the Industrial Revolution Mod, which transforms the way industry gets laid out. Basically, industry is divided into densities rather than Dirty/Manufacturing/Hi-tech. Also the lots are changed to appear more realistic. It does loads of other sutle changes to industry, none which require you to change vanilla-style of play. The rest is up to you. I'd say browse Simtropolis Exchange and find something you'd like. There's nearly everything from maps to cheat mods, new veichles to old-style buildings. To help you get started though, here are some of the ones off the top of my head: Most mods require some sort of dependency file though, so read the webpage and readme carefully. Most files aren't very big (15KB-1MB) neither, so DL'ing extra dependecies shouldn't be a hassle. Tis just the beginning too. I have over 100 mods, doing either small cosmetic things or changing how the game works. It's up to what you want to see in your city.

Use any mods on SC4? I've heard it's way better with them but I've never tried. It totally is. Vanilla SC4 is just unplayable.

Had to reinstall Windows. Good thing I have this secondary HD with all the good stuff in it. Kinda bummed out I lost my latest Sim City 4 city, oh well. Now off to read some schoolbooks until everything is downloading and installing.

It's a Windows plug-in that starts up when you boot if something is "wrong". There's a infamous bug that makes it loop...it says it's starting, PC shuts down, tries to boot, says repair is starting, shuts down, repeat. So you can do nothing but boot from USB/CD.

[bleep]ing piece of shit Windows 8. Got stuck in the retarded Automatic Repair loop. I thought I disabled that shit...

I love 80s cars. It's a mix of a boxy-orderly structure and nostalgia. Unlike the curvy-futuristic cars nowadays, those had style.
  12. Liberal agenda? Fascist overlords? Memes? Does this young man know he's on the internet? :uhh:
  13. Personal attacks got me my two warning posts. While TIF staff disagrees, your personal identity can be attacked if you believe something a certain way.
  14. Idiots who learned from past experiences maybe? You called?

Yeh. I don't even bother mentioning the legality of these things anymore. And my friends who enjoyed the N64 emulator I mentioned would surely agree.

It is. I got my current job because of my friend.

I know. I tried finding work with just that, but too much experience was required. Surprisingly lots of for medical supplies. But there's never a short of truck work here (lots of crappy-truck work but I've already explained that) since that's my area's "industry". Trucking, distribution, retail.
  18. Reddit-type humor? Interesting. I care. Might not seem like it, but I do read things and remember things people post...I just don't often comment on them.
  19. What sort of person are you? Some kind of oppressitarian???
  20. You like 3k better than 4? A lot of people do, I wonder why. How come? I think they actually get better with each one, with 2k being the most nostalgic.

I remember your job I remember your job as a courier, I actually tried looking for some around my area. Unfortunately most if not all that popped up where commercial trucking, which not being 21, it's a low chance of them hiring me. Plus the license...Needed money to get training/license, needed a job to get the money, the starter's loop. But thank you for reminding me of that, I honestly don't know how I didn't realize it. I do have off-hand trucking experience through my dad's old company and my 21st is this year. Long-distance trucking is a terrible job for stable money and family time, but since I don't need/have neither of those, it'll fit me good. --- My pants got a small rip at the knee. It boggles my mind since I hardly ever kneel down in them. Weird. Luckily these pants a bit too long and I can fold excess cloth over the rip.

Big problem with IT jobs. EVERYONE is doing it in the event of a fallback, (so even those who wanted it as a main career are screwed anyway). THE BIGGEST issue, is countries in general are outsourcing and having people come to each country on visa to do IT jobs as in India, the IT industry is massive with workers. Australia wise, the problem is they come on visas to do the jobs requiring University degrees and high-end experience. HOWEVER instead they decide to work in a lower-grade IT job because it's easier for them to get in reguardless. This ends up choking entry-level workers having a chance to get in. A good example is at my mates work, a guy was hired just because he had a diploma in IT engineering....in a ENTRY level job that was hardware repairs. He's never done hardware repairs but was hired over me simply for the Uni degree. (I guess you could call it a slight rant) basically, don't rely on IT as a fallback, because EVERYONE is doing it. That may be true for Australia, but it doesn't look the case here. I don't think I've ever seen a foreigner working with computers, a lot of Asians and White folk though...natively born I mean. To me it seems like a decent job market considering, yes, lots of people know about computers but there's five more having no idea and needing repairs. Every big business needs someone to look after the network and the national infrastructure doesn't maintain itself. It seems like jobs unlikely to be outsourced. But I'll keep your concerns in mind. I might be totally wrong and see lots of under-employed people taking my jobs, idk. Just figured IT would be a better backup to a history professor than having no backup at all (I guess pizza delievery counts? :P ). @T-Tan: without a doubt it is, but it has a lot to do with manipulation. I'm not good at that nor do I feel good pushing things down on people. Sales is one of the few jobs I've made a decision I will never do.

So once again I'm thinking of holding off my higher education and getting some IT training/certificate and doing work with computers...for more money and a job fall-back. Not sure where I should start though, any TIF'ers know where I can start? Living in California, America btw.
  24. Racism and sexism still exists. People like to argue that you can't legislate morality, but I think it's even crazier to try to legislate respect. "the prejudice will wane" Read.
  25. Prejudice against homosexuals exists, surely you cannot deny this fact. Once the government recognize this, the prejudice will wane: just like it did to women and colored people. Social movements must start change, if you're waiting for it to happen "naturally" this is as naturally as social reform gets.
