Agreed. I can't see how people can watch so many vlogs (especially those Lets Plays). Not to mention, the vloggers always have some sort of cult following them...it's kinda annoying. It's a terrible snowball effect too: young people see these "famous" vloggers and make their own. Soon, YouTube is filled with vlogs, most of them crap due to the young's inexperience. I'll leave it at that because I can go on and on about the current state of online videos. Such a post should go to the Things that Annoy you Thread.

How much do you really need for vlogging? A good mic and camera, thats it? You don't need a fancy PC to edit and render basic raw film. Unless I'm underestimating what they do, they just sit and talk right? Occasionally go out and film something? Doesn't take much to do that. Except that special effects guy RPG mention. Is he that asian guy? If so, yeah, he does need a fancy PC to do all those effects. Then it depends if he borrows or buys those editing programs...average joes can't buy that software without funding or being a really determined producer. At first I thought you (Tim) were drawing a correlation between rich vloggers and their popularity with YouTube. Which would make sense, paying YouTube to highlight your films and sponsor it. But then we started talking about equipment... :oops:

Not sure if anyone has beaten steams DRM or not. Most people don't need to, and most of the games in their catalog can be pirated with varying degrees of know-how required to get them to work already. Also, I think you can run games in steam offline. Well its for the day Steam servers are shut down. I'll rather not re-download all my games (much less re-buying them)...so when your Steam cache gets reset and you can't access the servers, you can't play offline. But bypass that and you don't have to worry about Steam shutting down. Though I believe Steam would unlock it or something if they were closing shop, but you never know.

I'm not a programmer, but, if such a program can be made/exists to fool Valve's online DRM to play games off-line then there should be no worry of server and account ban, right? --- Happy New Years everyone! 2013...50 years ago JFK was shot and MLK spoke "I Have a Dream" speech. Next year, it'll be the big 100 on World War 1.

Hell, me too. Well, I probably would of paid 5-10 bucks anyways. It was highly recommended from a good friend of mine and paying a penny is so cheap lol.

[bleep], technology screwed me over twice today. And to think I was opening up to it... ATM screwed up and ate my money without recording it to my account. Talked with one of the bank guys and it got fixed. Secondly, I got charged twice for buying a digital product yesturday. I opened a ticket in their customer support...this is the one I'm worried about. It may not be fixed like the ATM one. [bleep], and I was going to use that money to buy myself some Christmas games off the Steam Sale...

I'ma be flamed for this but...abortion is always an option. You got like, 5 months to decide really. Technically even more but that's iffy. I just don't understand how people could not be more in favor of abortion. Typically, people are such self-centered jerks. When the time comes to be the ultra-self centered jerk, they refuse. wtf

One thing that irritates me more than other things is how someone will feel all sad and upset about a tragedy for 2 weeks and forget about it totally. Take Kony, Haiti, and any foreign mass killing event for example. Again, "What are we supposed to do? Learn about every death in the wold and mourn over it? Lots of people are blaming the media for making money on these deaths. What, are we supposed to know about every death in the world? It's ridiculous for anybody to mention "the same number or more people die someplace else, but no one cares". It's like a cheap philosopher trick trying to guilt the masses. People know there is death but do you think people like to THINK about it? Come now." --- A lot of things that annoy me are traffic related now that I'm getting a lot more of exporsure of it...so they're going to keep on coming. Why do people turn on their high beams when they only got 1 light working? It greatly annoys other drivers, you're driving on a suburban city road there's plenty of light already, and a cop can still notice your one working light. If you want to use high beams, turn the damn thing off when cars are approaching. It gets terrible when it rains, the water on my windshield bends lights in all directions blinding me.

About any country really. What gets people is that they see this has possibly happening to them. Where as, I doubt anyone thinks they would be at a Pakistani schoolhouse. Designated left turns in suburbs. Who the [bleep] thought this was a good idea. We rarely get the amount of traffic for it and it only makes us waste time waiting.
