Boston Marathon Murders
I will never understand why this stuff bothers people. There's nothing to worry about unless you're committing crimes. [bleep]. You. Yeah, we're just gonna randomly search your house. Don't worry, there's nothing to worry about unless you're actually committing a crime. You look funny. We're taking you down to the station and searching you. Don't worry, unless there's nothing to worry about unless you actually commit a crime. Following your logic, that's also acceptable. "Any society willing to give up a little liberty for a little security will deserve neither and lose both." I like this quote too. Now, granted, providing studies there are studies that show that video cameras prevent crime, I'm ok with cameras. Although, it does make me wonder - are there studies on how effective video cameras are at crime prevention, and if so, what do they say? We're talking strictly about camera survailence. Again, one idea doesn't apply to all. Not worrying because you did nothing wrong would wonderfully apply to cameras. It does not apply well to random (racially motivated) random searches (which waste time to the detainee). They're different things so please don't take the justification for one specific security method and apply it to all security methods.

Yes, quoting a rich bastard living in a different time with enough power and money to obtain all the protection he needed? Sure, it's a valid quote.

Boston Marathon Murders
Exactly. Sure, the act of peeping isn't morally right (and apparently not legal neither) but in some crimes and events you can blame the victim. If you leave an iPod out in the subway station floor you're not going to see it again. The act of stealing it is immoral and illegal but if you're looking for someone to really blame look to yourself for leaving it there. Getting undressed with the curtains open is same thing. Just because you heard the "don't blame victim" idea in some rape debate, doesn't mean it can be applied everywhere. I'm not pleasant with the idea but I sure don't equate that to 1984, a nanny state, or Nazi Germany. You keep poking fun at people that stand up against a cradle to grave nanny state government, calling their fears irrational and misplaced. Soft tyranny and oppression are very real, and the only thing that scares me more than big brother are the proles that are either oblivious to it or too apathetic to give a damn. I only make fun of people who unnecessarily stand up for changes. To me, this camera thing isn't nearly as big of a deal as some would say it is. Privacy, I feel, is often way overrepresented in American politics. If it can prevent or catch the criminal more effectively, then I don't give a damn if you feel molested while watering your garden by that lamppost camera.

Just like any public official could misuse their power? Besides, if you're undressing with the blinds open you're asking to be peeped. Unofficially: "Her life has almost been ruined, her self-confidence entirely destroyed by the thought that prying male eyes have entered her flat." It's not the state's fault she had low-self confidence anyway... :-? Sounds an awful lot like blaming the victim. If you would call that a victim. If somebody gets so offended by the fact some stranger saw them naked, then that person seriously needs to reevaluate their beliefs since there are a lot worse things to be offended about. It was physically harmless. Now if you want to relate this to the level of sexual assault, that's your will. I just don't feel this is such a crime she thinks it is, the police thinks it is, nor what Sees All thinks it is.

Yeah, like one day they'll be banning smoking in public places, placing a limit on the size of a fountain drink you can buy, and forcing you to participate in markets. Oh wait. It's cute you related that to 1984. We had much more oppressives regimes without cameras. Understand that they'll only go over footage if something suspicious or something actually happened. More like: Your purse was stolen in the 8:00 train? Lets check the footage. Less like: The 8:00 train, set up the tapes. Wanna play "I Spy" while we wait our shift ends?

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
I think people misunderstood me. When I said propose sex, not really in the "Milady, would you like to foriniate at 7th o'clock tonight?". More like "I got a date tonight, I'm going to pull my weight to influence her into bed". You, mentally, have a goal and are trying to achieve it. Waiting until it feels right, to me, sounds like not establishing the goal and waiting for it to happen with no effort or by the effort of the other partner (mostly ladies). I'm I missing something or is the 'establishing the goal' part into "natural" sex?

Gotta love the misconception of consumer's demand marketing. "If I don't EAT the meat I bought, they'll stop killing animals."

How does sex "naturally happen" anyway? Doesn't somebody propose sex and the other accepts or rejects? If the woman has any sense of traditionalist roles, then the man has to propose it. Meaning, he has set his goal and he is going to do what he can to achieve it. You DO something. Doing it "naturally" seems to not do anything, waiting for the other to do something. Someone care to enlighten me to how exactly "naturally happening" and "until we're both comfortable" means?

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
I've observed exactly that. The need to fulfill social pressures to have a romantic relationship is what leads to disastrous relationships, marriages, and drama. The italic part is really hilarious (because it's true!). Someone to have your back, you trust and make a bond, then brake up with you over text? What does it mean to have a girlfriend? Someone to have sexual relations with? Or someone to trust and have a bond with? If its the latter, then you can't trust your entire existence with someone within a few months. If its the former, you're being honest, and can't trust your entire existence with them until you form a bond. Forming bonds takes time, yet spend too much time and they call it "the friendzone" and they don't want to be your boy/girlfriend! Ahh, the contradiction in these mainstream social views.

How to make the world a better place?
What bluntless. You're anti-gun because presumably you're not a violent individual but then you want mass genocide? Why not improve the efficiency of everything on the planet (e.g. Zimbawbe's farm on the production scale of a USA farm) so we can keep the 7 billion people?

I hate how people "cry" so much over petty drama and fake-emotional distress.

Non-yielding left turn lights. People who drive 10mph under the speed limit on single-lane roads Lack of space in the lane for right turns If there is space, people who don't give space to others for right turns Medians (road dividers) Red/Green light pedestrian x-crossings When my GPS confuses a walking trail with a drivable street But most importantly of all: People who [bleep]ing mess with you because you're a pizza delivery car. ...not a good day yesterday, as you can see.

Not impressed by PS4
Yup, people worry about the latter. Not everyone lives in 15MB/4G zones, has no caps, or willingly signs up to a reliable ISP.
