  1. The idea of High School is to prepare you for college. You're lucky you can complain in HS, you can't do that in college, you're paying for the class, the professor could careless if you pass or do anything, and if you don't like it, they won't care for the slightest minute. Yes, ok, so? We are, by law, to attend school up to the 12th level. Whereas college is not; so it would seem logical to pay some attention to the folks being dragged into it by law.
  2. I thought it was obvious that Wallettheif's a troll. But yeah..."brain damage"? Or different social upbringings?
  3. But there is a clear difference in being given how to study, rather than studying by your own way. I remember there was a 'Cornell notes' phase two years ago that most of the teachers FORCED students to write down notes "cornell-style". Needless to say there was a huge unpopularity for these notes and now, they're non-existant. Oh, and another thing. This ain't college.
  4. There's a whole breed of them down in Disneyland. Thought this was common sense?
  5. Also make it mandatory for kids to join honors classes if they get B+ in their regular classes. Or maybe mandatory tutoring for anyone getting a D- or lower in their classes. Way to go having our own lives... If the smartest kid in school doesn't want to go to AP, let him. I don't see why he must be forced to take harder stuff because he has the potential. And for sports...I friggen hate sports... :wall:
  6. In a regular job, do you get work when you leave? No. I think schools should be like that to an extent. I like homework because it gives me pratice, but sometimes teachers do "busy work", loads of problems for one sitting, to "help us prepare" for the test. But, I shouldn't be talking. The Terminator (Gov. Arnold Sw-thingy) is greatly reducing the education budget reducing printable paper, copies, and other stuff teachers can get; in turn, this makes the teacher do less homework to save supplies for the more important stuff in-class. Damnit, this thread reminds me I got some homework to do...
  7. It's kinda like human beings. We grow because we eat. The plants grow because it gets nutrients from the ground and light n' such.
  8. I hate the idea of conscription...I feel its taking my right if I want to join the military or not. And most of the time for what? To do the agenda of a rich worryless leader? Seems too illogical to me. Even in times of extreme justice I still find it wrong. Because, again, we're satisfying the government's plans not ours. You could say to defend the citizens of the country, but to be honest I still wouldn't do it. Unless if some nation invades California threatening my lifestyle, I'll probably never join the military: forcefully or not.
  9. Uhh, yeah it is.
  10. HAHAHA. Best Rick Roll yet!
  11. Largest online game in the world and largest online topic in Tip.It. Very nice.
  12. Most of you 'haters' don't realise is that these people cosplay in conventions, on certain days. If you don't like it, don't go there. Simple. As for me I would love to cosplay at least once in my life. It'll be kinda embarrasing, but meh, life is short. :P
  13. You know what I find funny? The thread starts out being negative against the man then it switches sides to be more postive for the man and now most people agree with being postive. Humans... Hate him all you want or not, I still don't like the idea of this guy using 36 characters at once in WoW. Defeats the purpose of the game to me...
  14. This. :| Janurary 12, 2007 gentlemen. Snowed at the 2000 ft elevation; closer to the mountains but still urban Greater LA. History was made. =D> (regardless it was barely a inch, but ice was made)
  15. Isn't the problem not just not being able to make cars, but the current car owners to be supportless and basically 'lose' their car in a sense? Without parts, cars can't get repaired and the parts come from the car factory right? I'm not sure if insurance may have something to do with it but I think it does. This doesn't seem just the "sales" of the cars, but the backbone of maintaing these vehicles. Police cars, ambulances, fire trucks, etc are made from Ford or Chevvy or some type of the Big Three...

Different? Yes. Weird? Hmm, no. Most people catorgize me with the nerd/geek group, but when I do something not to standard, people don't bag it on me...they not jerks. While they'll most certainly do so at another "nerd/geek" type person. Eh, maybe I'm not so nerdy as I think I am. Maybe I am. :|

Well there's the fun of it.
  18. My XBox I suppose. And not the 360, the classic Xbox. But I prefer PC gaming any day.
  19. Age of Empires II: I remember when my dad bought a new laptop, one of the games built in it was AoE2. I was 11 at the time and all I did was just built my little town. I was shocked to see all my buildings change when I finally changed ages. Banjo Kazooie: Got a N64 for my sixth birthday and it came with Banjor Kazooie. Basically, my second console-game ever, it still is with me. I remember the hours we (me and my sister) would spend playing that. The day I got 450 notes was one of the happiest in my life back then.
  20. I was thinking, but my mom would never allow me to do that. None of my friends wanna do it neither, the ones that play WoW at least. Already pre-ordered it at my local Gamestop though, gonna go there Thursday afternoon. \
  21. Hah this is great. Now every die-hard Republician I know think we're going to turn into the next Soivet Union. Ahh how I'm gonna piss them off by bringing a sickle and hammer...

The internet was bound to be a porn heaven when the creators didn't solve the anonnymity (SP)problem.
  23. The only extent of being "green" is to save the green paper; money that is. I recycle my recently drunk bottles if theres a recylcing bin nearby or else I'll toss it in the regular garbage. Turn off my lights when I don't use them. I also turn off high-consuming power wasters: like I'll turn off my monitor but leave my actual PC on, or turn off the TV but leave the satelite on or something. And I don't do that for the cause of global warming; but for the cause of gloabal cleaning and my own wallet.
  24. And we're gonna kick...some...[wagon]. Wooh can't wait!
