  1. I'm happy people are getting what they need to live their way in life, that doesn't harm other people in a serious way - even if this is just in America, in a few states though. Too bad America has so many states unlike Canada, where it would be just 13. :P
  2. What's funny is that the trailer for this game, was a better cinematic experience than any fight scene or scene in any of the Star Wars movies. Like honestly, that fight scene in that trailer totally whips out any scene fight or not from the Star Wars movies. Period. I also like the RPG elements they're putting up on their site by trying to immerse you in the background story.
  3. I think there's a lot of potential in these, especially for blogscape or even in some guides. As well as in signatures. I wouldn't mind seeing those used, but they definitely have a lot of potential to be used with blogs, guides, signatures, PM's, and almost any RuneScape-related forum. - Cowman = Hater.
  4. I knew one day Tip.It would be getting their own memberlist feature. :P If all of the features listed in that chronicle are present upon release or are eventually released, RuneHead is going to go out of style fast. Glad to see Tip.It continuing to work hard on becoming the clan cool spot once again. I guess I should pay more attention now to these Chronicles, lol. Good job.
  5. If you have Vista, then just select 'Windows Media HD 720p' instead of whatever codec you're saving to when you publish the video in WMM. Basically: Publish To This Computer > Go Through All The Dialog Until You Get To The 'Save As' or Sometimes Called /Best Playback To This Computer': When you get there select the 'More Settings' and now you should have several options to save the video as. Select Windows Media HD 720p or Windows Media HD XboX 720p. Either one works. It'll publish the video into 1280x720 resolution, which YouTube's HD player is in, so you won't get any bars. Remember to do this with the raw footage, and none previously saved as anything. Also by changing the resolution you'll probably distort some pixels, depending on the quality of the record, which in your case it may.
  6. The thing remembering your username and password is just from your cache or auto-form fill... I don't know if it is connected to cookies or if it's a stored database...but someone else could probably fill you in on that. If you don't know how to check the privacy or if you're not sure where specifically: Tools > Options > Privacy: - Make sure 'always clear my private data when I close Firefox' is not selected. - For 'Cookies' make sure everything is accepted and the option box is 'they expire'. Check that and get back with an answer.
  7. If it's the forum style, or the background colours that you select in the top boxes, which you probably mean by 'themes', then yes. Clicking on those basically tells the browser to always use that colour or theme. As when you click on one it shoudl always be automatically set to that colour or specification that was in that cookie. If it happens like every time you visit the site, that it gets reset, then it's a browser problem. However if it's only occasionally, then it's either just the cookie expiring, or you've just cleared your cache or the memory for that cookie was deleted to make room for something else. Still: Do you still get auto-logged in upon visit to the forums? Does this happen on other websites? --- Your security settings could be the problem, which block cookies from being stored on your computer at all or for periods of time. ---- But short answer, you should always be logging in auotmatically, with the background or forum style you selected beforehand, without having to worry about it again.
  8. I don't think we'll be traveling in space, but I think it'll be centred all on one planet, with varying 'small' areas that aren't attached to the planet, but aren't attach to any other planet either. But then again who knows, maybe we'll have hyperdrive and lightspeed.
  9. The sole reason why clans pk on the weekends, or Friday is because they pull more opts during the weekends/Friday because their members have the time. Weekdays is work, or school, for majority of everyone. Weekends no school and a larger portion of members are off from work. Hence why clans will pull at least 70% more on weekends than on weekdays. This is why clans pk on the weekends. Another good, solid reason is clan burn-out. Burn-out is from several factors. First one is the morality of the members. If they're pking 3 times a week, every week, they're going to be tired, if not depressed of they've lost several times, and only won a handful of times. What makes it more intense is that pking with a team for so long will just get flat out boring. To reduce burn-out clans have organized themselves to, lol, 'clan binging' basically. They pk for three days and have four days to mentally recover. The other factors have to do with gp deprivation in-game, and ability to be consistent on attendance with so many events just burns them out. Not to mention it's easier on people to know that 'this, this and that day' are going to be the days to pk, and will be for a long-term plan. Thus people feel more comfortable around this structure and are able to plan around it. Members can plan around it in real life, or to prepare in-game, and clan officials can organize run-ins, or full outs easily on the three days without having to tell the members weeks ahead of time to get decent ops, and it allows event organizers to focus on other activities than just pk trip times. This is why this is the normal function in which clans will pk. It used to work, and it provided immense benefits to clan and individual performance. So no, it's not our fault for our difficulties in these troublesome but replenishing times. Jagex needs to meet the players and clans needs, we've had this pk model established for a good part of three years, or more with individual clans. The reasons why we created this model and why it's such a success with current clans is because the reasons for its existence are still present in the game, and in real life. Jagex has neglected this key factor in how clans operate and that is why it's their responsibility and duty to repair the hindrance that is keeping us from our daily routines that keep clans alive. Clans can not operate in the numbers they have operated in on weekdays, and it won't ever happen unless everyone goes on vacation for a very long time. Clans will not pull the numbers they regularly pull, and in result clan activity will go down, and members of the clans will feel left out from the weekday trips and not feel involved and will most likely leave the clan for clans that have stuck to the old model. Clans, or at least active and successful clans have always had miniature pk trips during the week, that aren't official and are majority of the time just 'all of sudden let's go pk guys' type of trips, where it's 10-20 members just having fun without a real structure, just the bonds they bring with each other. These kinds of trips are always going to happen but they're most likely going to increase in frequency if Jagex keeps this up. The truth is a large portion of users come on on weekends and want to pk or play the game. When they find out that their clan is pking during weekdays, when they can't attend, they're going to be angry. When they find out that all there is to do on weekends is cluster fights, that are just chaos, and not anywhere near structured organization between clans but just endless crashing between clans and endless returning between clans, they aren't going to be pleased, and will get bored with such meaningless, and eventually 'boring' routine of finding a clan, crashing their cluster fight, returning to the fight, getting crashed, regrouping, recrashing, re-returning, re-regroup...etc. There isn't going to be much diversity with such few worlds. This is why Jagex must restore the equalization brought by the spreading of clans through-out worlds. Another thing is how many of you guys abide by an honour system? Since when has crashing, on purpose, even been acceptable? Yet now we take it like accidental safing in 1vs1 fights. If we adapt it doesn't leave room for those on weekends, but if we tolerate it it's not going to be enjoyful. Thus Jagex needs to intervene.
  10. Darnit, a thread to popularize this. :P I only knew (and used) ooglog, but I knew there were other banks to use. Didn't even realize I was standing 1 square away majority of the time. It's really annoying though when you aren't 26king, and you're actually just skilling and you get attacked. Gg PvP Worlds.
  11. To me that emotion gets through sarcasm more so than any other emote is capable of, or posting with ignorance, or whatever the true reason behind that emote being added to the emotions list we have. I've already explained why not though, because a variation or alteration of the emotion wouldn't serve the same purpose; to be used in the correct manner or with fine reasoning behind it other than just spam or it just being there. Why? Because there's an emotion for everything already, and a variation of that smiley would just be overlapping what another emotion already succeeds at doing. But as I said before, if there's a specific group or single smiley, whether it's a variation of any smilies, then post it, and we will all see how it goes from there. But for now, we've only been presented with one emotion and there's no point for that emotion.
  12. I'll play the game as I see fit.
  13. 4 years of development doesn't amount to a Funorb game, sorry.
  14. That would be why we have that emotion, correct? I was talking about the spinoffs of that base emote, which was presented by Felix. Any of the emotes based off of this :twss: aren't needed as they'd just be duplicates of already installed emotes.
  15. I'd say 30% of everyone over 130 combat has at least 80m in coins and 120m in items, at the least. So it's not that far-fetched.
  16. :twss: We already have that particular smiley, and when you have current smilies we have now, and take away the above smile, there really isn't anything more to be added except for somewhat 'childish' or useless emotions that don't serve the point of any post and would be used just because they are 'there', and create spam posts with them, instead of them being used to actually give a sense of the desired emotion to the post that the author wants to make. Which is why we don't need anymore, any kind of emotion you want to add through the purpose of the emotions or any kind of feeling you want to add to a post can already be done easily with the current selection of emotions. There are probably emotions out there Tip.It could acquire to use but in my opinion none of the popular emotions presented through-out other forums right now have any credibility to be considered in my opinion. Like I don't want to see posts with smilies in them just because the smilies are there to use, and not because the smiley doesn't serve a purpose in the post, related to the post. Just my thoughts.
  17. I don't get why Jagex would even bother saying it's not allowed when one they can't detect it, and two it's used by a large majority of players. Third party programs > the actual game itself. Is always the case in any game. Jagex has said that the audience of players is 16+, so why do they say something like this isn't allowed, even though majority of people 16+ should know the risks, but disregard them anyway. Jagex making a fool of themselves once again. Good game.
  18. This is just my strain of thoughts and high expectations that would make these armours totally over the top and like fantastically awesome. I'm hoping Jagex catches a glipmse of this and can implement or think of ideas for these armour sets. since this is concept art, and they are under-development, we may see some ideas even implemented. Here's my thoughts, and expectations: They look hot as anything I have ever seen to be honest. I just hope they don't require defense...which they probably will to tempt pures into getting defense for sick-freaking awesome looking epic armour. I'm personally expecting these to be 'the thing' that will be the sought after pk, more so than corrupt or good drops, simply for the bonuses they provide in pvp. I hope they require items that are categorized related to each armour set, then through various skills, you create the armour. I'm also hoping that the armour which you make will be more powerful on how you make it with your skills. For instance if three of the skills needed to make the armour set aren't at 80, then you can make 60 level pvp armour from those items, but if you have 80 or 90 you can make stronger weapons. I hope they can cater towards mains and pures with these armour sets though. They don't need to make one happy and the other depressed, they could potentially make these beneficial to both mains and pures, through defense requirements but drastically higher bonuses, but for those with the attack or strength or range levels, the armour could also provide good bonuses for offensive stuff for pures, instead of things like hp recovery or group benefits for others wearing the full sets for mains...etc. -------- That's just my strain of thought so some of it may be unrealistic, but I am a vivid pker and I think these things are doable with such armour sets dedicated and commited to pvp and not just general combat. I'm also hoping for multiple sets in each combat division, with each set in the division having it's own level creation system like in Stealing Creation...etc. Each set offering different kinds of bonuses to the combat division the set is in. Diversify and turn what pvp is totally upside down tbh. Though it won't ever happen. I can still fantasize right, and speculate beyond logical reasoning. ---- @Kiero, only the one does to me, the others feel more warriorish than Ninjaish.
  19. Microsoft wasn't as great as I'd hoped for one of the big three to be, but they were better than Sony or Nintendo. Garh! 2010 for Zelda, which probably means 2011, since they're developing it and only showed a concept art for Link.
  20. No, we cut those stress points with other diamonds. We just eventually broke down diamonds enough to form a sharp edge and then carried it on from there with diamond dust in blades to cut diamonds.
  21. Am I to assume certain NPCs were never dropping challenge scrolls when they should have been? I laughed when I read that, but also got pretty "omg, wtf Jagex?". Like how do you miss that? Or did Jagex themselves say "Wow, this takes forever, only the die-hard players will ever do this, and it's just one little drop, so it'll probably work, no need to spend the hours killing the mobs to test for it!". I lol.
  22. Meh, fine-tuning the software to the hardware I can see it being plausible. I just want to see the technology once again in my life-time, so I'll think it's real, instead of saying no it's not, and having it disappear forever, or a good 30 years.
  23. PC as well? Was that something included in the deal Microsoft made? If so, good job MS, lols. :)
  24. http://www.big-boards.com/rd/1557/ That's whats ahead of us. Strangely being 200 ranks or so above that makes the 507th rank not that 'amazing'. Lol. :) Gf Habbo.
  25. I'm hoping we don't get non-in-game stuff from these features that are suppose to become new with the developers blog page or whatever. Let's keep it Runescape related please. I'm actually surprised they put this penguin quest into the game. Thought they'd wait a month or so like they usually do before releasing a quest which they've hinted largely to in-game. Cool. --- Quest Reward: Access to the new skill, Sailing!
