E3 2009 - The Big 3 & the Minorities
I'm pretty sure both versions will have the core elements, but the 360 version may have a selling feature like an alternating ending. But really Sony needs to have like four extra, exclusive features on the PS3, to make people want a PS3 to play it.

Project Natal + Milo (Revolutionise game industry)
I can see extreme benefits and additions and new perspectives added to first-person shooters, or first-person games in general. The possibilities...dang it's so cruel not to have more information, lol.

E3 2009 - The Big 3 & the Minorities
I loved their conferences in 04/05 though. <3

Left 4 Dead
The melee weapons is what I'm really excited for. One-hitting the daylights of special infected is going to be epic. Also in the trailer there seemed to be TONS of more gore, which is always needed in a Zombie game. :) Hopefully what they said about bringing the original game into this game so we don't need to switch games on the PC or whatever on the xbox is implemented by release or at least by February. This is going to screw with all of the competitive leagues that started up though around L4D, expecting a long-term life of the game.

E3 2009 - The Big 3 & the Minorities
Ubisoft failed, but Microsoft definitely did a crap load better than the past two years. I'm hoping though that MS is usually the low on the ladder of good conferences that Nintendo and Sony will be able to top Microsoft, but really, I'm feeling that the three will be very close in presentation. Still that's good. Left 4 Dead 2 I'm skeptical on. It could have just been a huge game altering patch and then later on a patch to connect the two games together in some fashion. I'm gonna miss not having the original cast to make their comments while playing, but hopefully the new cast of characters will make it more worthwhile. IGN has a good article including a few gameplay vids and the explanations behind the game are quite settling. Halo announcements were cool, but I'm not a fan of Halo, GG. Nintendo's is in 13 hours and 30 minutes. Lol. C'mon Zelda for the Wii!!!!

I'll laugh if this post actually gets a post from any of those old Admins, since it's stumped most of the current admins, and mods. :P

Mechscape combat system: Your thoughts.
It can be quite annoying to be honest. Though I do prefer first-person view than any other perspective. I would hope we could choose between the two without altering gameplay that much, like peaking around corners in third-person like failures. : )

Paint Balling
Paint Balling. <3 Getting hit doesn't hurt, unless it's in the back of the neck, near your kidneys, the groin, or back of the knee. Everywhere else it's kind of an "Ow..oh wait, I'm out". It hurts for like 3 seconds, then stops as soon as you get up to leave the field. It's epic. This is where I've been a few times: [hide=YouTube Vid][yt]r_36YuHtvDo[/yt][/hide] Tactown. :)

PSP Go : Now True
I think it looks pretty beast to be honest. If the quantity and quality of games that come out for it are half-decent I might get pulled into buying a handheld for the first time in like 5 years.

E3 2009 - The Big 3 & the Minorities
I would pre-order that game to be honest, if it involved Kirby.

Unmuting YouTube video's
Thanks. I had around 17 videos with the audio copyrighted and didn't particularly know how to get around it. <3

Tip.It's Birthday
There's been talks about birthday events and even topics like this, where the date gets posted, but hardly anything major is done. Then again maybe TET does something...wait nope. But it would be something to PM a TET member.

E3 2009 - The Big 3 & the Minorities
Heavy Rain looks good and so does Army of Two: 40th day, uncharted 2 as well. :) A lot of really good looking games, that seem to be of high quality are in the process of being released. I love game season. <3 (August/September To December).

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
As long as this game supports quad-cores and will be upgraded to support 6 cores for 2011, I'll be content. :P Youtube HD Video - This video will cause high CPU usage, to view the video in a lower quality, please click here. Comical but serious analyses for guns shown in the trailer.

15 years in jail for possession of manga...
Well it's obviously wrong and should be counted as a misunderstanding and miscommunication between the inner-government groups tbh. It's kind of ridiculous. I'd rather have those who indulge in child pornography, indulge in animated or drawings of children being exploited (not that in any non-porn mangas that they ever do...most of the time...) than actually living it out in real life, with real people/children. Wasn't there an article a few months back saying that criminal activity that can be relived through the internet has decreased because they get off on the internet content? I'd prefer that over them actually killing or raping someone.

just started rs again recently..
For monsters with 80hp, 120hp or at the most 250hp, it's pretty much going to be worth it. As well no one knows how the combat bonuses are given and dealt with through defense, offense stat bonuses. So most people would rather invest in something they are positive about then something that could possibly be benefiting them much less than the strength bonus, or not be as worth it as the strength bonus. Then you put in that barrows needs to be repaired and that becomes a hassle or a chore, which adds upon the other many chores within the game. Either way though is hitting a +2 max really going to benefit more than blocking an entire hit from an Abyssal Demon? Or Greaters? Or any other common slayer task? Unless the difference in defense bonus is going to give you such a huge advantage that the +2 hit then who cares about defense? As long as you can camp the monster for an hour and a half, or complete the slayer task without running out of food, why not go for strength?

Jagex Confusing Players
In my opinion we shouldn't be spoon fed the information, but given clues and cryptic messages to decode. That's how Jagex does it, and that's what they're good at above everything else. The clues and puzzles about information are always entertaining and require a bit of creativity. But the information that you're talking about isn't confusing or cryptic. Put logical reasoning in with any of those items and you'll have your answer.

E3 2009 - The Big 3 & the Minorities
MAG. Yea, if they released that this year, I'd buy a PS3 just for such an epic battle of so many people. It also looked like it may be decent as well. The game itself looked pretty much done, so probably November this year or February 2010.

E3 2009 - The Big 3 & the Minorities
I'm surprised with E3 being so close that there isn't a topic in this forum about it. Anyways E3 is the Electronic Entertainment Expo, which you can find more about here: http://e3insider.com/. As everyone knows from last years E3 and the previous year before that, E3 has been a sloppy performance of what it used to be. This year promises to bring back the booth babes and the larger media audience that always gets attracted to E3. E3 is where the gaming industry piles together for a week, discusses the industry, collaborates, shows off new gaming technology, and of course press releases from Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony, as well as press releases by publishers like EA, or Activision. As well independent developer studios like vALVE are also setting up their own booths, just like every other studios, where game demos and new game releases will be posted. For gamers though we get to see what direction games are taking into the future, as well as what studios plan on releasing this year, next year, or where they want to be or aim at being in 4 or 5 years time. It's like the CES of gaming if you still haven't gotten excited. As I said before, more information on E3: http://e3insider.com/ Ok, Skatedog, but how do I watch it? You go to: http://g4tv.com/e32009/splash.aspx (G4 has streamed live, in real time, for E3 for the past 3 or so years I think, and has immense coverage on all the big names and independent studios, these guys are informative when they aren't talking about non-gaming stuff) Last year GameTrailers had their own streaming service, but I don't know about this year: http://www.gametrailers.com/e3/ They'll still have tons of coverage. Lastly is GameSpot.com's coverage: http://e3.gamespot.com/?tag=topslot;img;1 There's these three sites streaming it, but I recommend G4. --------------------------------------------------- My expectations of E3: From Nintendo I'm expecting both a Mario & a Zelda game from there, but the Zelda game is most likely as we've already seen a short trailer for it. I'm hoping though that they don't just release that Zelda game, but also one for the Wii, which is following the more adult Link, instead of the bubbly annoyance that is sailing, lol. For Mario I'm expecting a new game for him. A new plot and a new way to interact with Mario & the game environment with the Wii remote, and the Wii + sensor thingy majig. So those three things are going to be the things to look forward to, and of course Miyamoto performing some ridiculous performance. Sony on the other hand, they need to do a lot to recover some lost fans of the console. I'm hoping they'll cut prices down on the PS3, so I'll actually buy it, and the new PsP Go was already leaked so not much to say there. Basically in my mind Sony needs to target the hardcore audience and the fan base built over Sony in order for them to ease their money losses with the PS3. Microsoft, I could care less. Their press release is going to be a money grab and a catch-up with the Wii with new hardware for the Xbox 360. Not interested. The games I want to see is the rumoured MGS game for the PsP Go, Brutal Legends, Zelda/Mario, Modern Warfare 2, something from vALVE, Mass Effect 2, Bioshock 2 and that's pretty much it. Perhaps even an MMO announcement from some independent developer studios may peak my interest. ---- So who else is looking forward to E3? Or your expectations?

Jagex C.E.O MMG Interview: Part 3 of 3
The three of them have been there since the beginning or near the beginning, so all three deserve immense credit.

Interview with Jagex CEO Mark Gerhard Part 3 of 3 'MechScape
I think two things got confirmed and thats pretty much all we got from the article, besides them working on it for four years. Four factions and clarification on the name of the game.

Mechscape=delayed longer
Or they're just stalling because they've put four years of work into a game and they don't like the outcome of it. Or there's tons of bugs in the game that they haven't fixed yet. Or the content will take you two months to plow through. Or after about a few days of playing you find the combat system and/or PvE/PvP systems repetitive and boring. All legitimate and previously used reasoning behind why developers or studios delay game releases.

Slumps in clans.
Most clans in Runescape won't ever pull more than 90 members to an event. Thus with low numbers like that and dedicated staff, it will be pretty darn easy to find out why half of the members aren't coming to events. Through that I could see 20 out of the 45 being kicked for simply not caring, not being active..etc, for a two week evaluation period. The other 25 however will be entirely situational and dependent on several factors like clan staff personalities and expectations, members expectations of others, prior history with the clan...etc. I'd say it would take a week or two to go through all of that, and then there'd probably only be 10 left who are in 'conflicting situations' in life which provides valid reasoning behind their inactivity/lack of contribution. That's how I would deal with the slump. Question the inactives/non-contributors, discuss with appropriate staff on actions for each reasoning provided, then get more personal with whoever is left, and then give 'special' cases out to members who deserve it or need it. But after so long it's a kick/suspension from events (for a long time). Another way is to do fun events like monster hunts, or mini-games (like soulwars, and get tons of zeal for everyone), or do skill races, or random races that include like catching 5000 lobs first in a day...etc. To raise moral and bonds. After that though it can only last so long before things pick up again. If it still doesn't pick up, then it's definitely not the clan, but the game that is the problem.

When?
This sorta reminds me of the Darkfall release. People were told in 2005 that the game was near-ready and would be launched soon. Four years later the game is released and is half-done, if that. Not even 2/3s of the promised content made it to launch, and not to mention the mass amount of exploits in the game, like invisibility, speed hacks...etc. Just hope we don't wait like that or a Duke Nukem is pulled over our heads, lol. Good game to that then.

Tipit and Mechscape?
I'm going to assume you've only ever played one MMO, possibly even one game that has had over 100 000 players. When a game studios announces a new game, it means everything about that game will be different. How it's run, to how it's played by the players, even to how players interact with each other in the game. That's how different normal games are, like FPS's, or RTS's. MMO's on the other hand are far more complex and there's tons of deeper content and implementations to support a social atmosphere or what an MMO is. Runescape is an old MMO model. Mechscape is probably going to be based on a new Jagex-twisted MMO. This alone separates how different these two games should be. Then you look at the concept art, or the hints we've had about the game and it's pretty clear Mechscape will be nowhere near similar to Runescape, except for in minor, insignificant cases. If I'm wrong though, then it will be what Jagex says it's not; Runescape in space. Every game is different and every MMO is worlds apart.
