  1. Who wasn't expecting a promotion for little ol' Odie? Grats dude.
  2. Actionscript is like the most easiest language ever that you can make games with. More importantly though you learn some basics of things like variables, functions, keywords, commands, and arrays, as well as object properties, and such, in a relatively small amount of time, which will make learning other languages a lot easier, to understand the context behind the words/questions/statements in whatever tutorials you find. It took me one month to have everything in Actionscript down. http://www.actionscript.org/index.php Search for 'code' in the search bar and you'll find a lot of the code focused tutorials in Actionscript and not the GUI stuff. You can make a lot of semi-complex games with Actionscript tbh, just sacrifices the graphics of it.
  3. Hope created by one measly little somewhat high level content update is false hope. Unless 35 defense and hp is any sign of high level? Sure, 80+ agility isn't common and anything over 70 agility is counted as high level, but that's only because 50-60 agility would get you places just as well as the previously useless 99 agility would. Meh, the weightless equipment is good for RC'ing and such, but really, you could already reach +50 defense and still be 0KG. Oh well, still one update means crap. The next update they'll cater towards mid level players, then the next update will be for general players, then the next could be high level, but I'd assume mid level or general. Even then if we had high level content in-between every 3-4 content updates it would be forgotten every time and not appreciated at all.
  4. The animations are what catch my eye. Glad to see some intricate animations and not just three body parts moving to make up the animation. Good job.
  5. Exactly that. Not quite. This could be said about any option in the report tool for users. Just take the four seconds to write something up. As usual it has been neglected how lazy people truly are, even on the internet. As somewhat illustrated by Das: Already shows how much people can't even do two simple clicks and one brain process in trying to report a post, or topic for whatever reason or motivation they have behind it. Thus typing out something for four seconds is obviously not a correct or accurate solution to such a problem. Yet it also seems that the report function isn't even being put to good use anyways, as shown again by Das. Even when the mods are told through the chat what the report is all about, even if it's 100% accurate, they still go through and assess it, as if they hadn't been told anything about it. Well I'm assuming mods actually 'check' or 'confirm' the written responses in the report before taking action... Thus the entire report system isn't efficient and even if the users do take the time to write a response, it'll either take too long to decipher or more time will be wasted because the mods will still need to investigate anyways. Thus the efficiency of the entire system fails. Thus the suggestion is invalid and wouldn't do any positive good at all. Though neither would the possible solutions suggested by the first two responses even come close to helping out more than what the original suggestion was suggesting. This is the only thing I don't quite understand. Even if they write a response, it still needs to be confirmed by finding the user, looking at the content of the post(s) or topic(s), which is basically the same as just investigating without a response in the report form. Missing something am I? All that bothered me in this thread, which by the way is entirely pointless for any of the real solutions that come to mind are out of the question for the same limitations presented in almost every suggestion posted about in this forum.
  6. 250 perfect laps...wow. Just wow.
  7. They're not against it. Unless they changed their standpoint from one or so month ago.
  8. They're not all peacefully protesting... Still, I am in support for the protesters even if we don't have all of the facts straight yet. And I'm going to say..."Smells like the beginning of WWIII". Hate.
  9. It's not going to be associated with Runescape in any shape or form, or that is how Jagex comes off in trying to keep RS and MS away from each other as much as possible. Judging by the interviews and leaked info they've been giving out. I'm thinking different universes entirely.
  10. Encourage what? I don't think Tip.It wants to stand on either side of a line, but remain as neutral as possible. Jagex hasn't said anything against 26k'ing, so why should Tip.It be against it? Even if Jagex was against it, it would just be like luring, or the same principles.
  11. Lol, nice. :P Last round of applications, a good chunk were below the one thousand post count mark, so it doesn't matter. What matters is the quality of the posts when they go through your posts in your profile. I think a user was made a mod with 300 posts or something last round or before that...Not sure, but it was less than 500. That would be a given.
  12. That sentence confused the hell outta me. Lol, dude that is definitely one horrible sentence, I don't even get it - very sorry for that. I don't know if I wrote that, or if it's an editing hiccup. :P I think it's trying to say that when the partnership deal was created or made public...etc, go on into the next sentence.
  13. Totally removing it, it would be spammed a lot. Though lowering it in such forums may not be a bad idea.
  14. Wow, this is like the fastest solution on a clue given to us in a long time. Good game. Now; Was this intentional or is it live on the test servers (and maybe playable/to be released)? I'd have to go with accidental, and didn't realize they were including this with the picture because they've been working with it for so long.
  15. Second row, first icon. Interesting leak, or a misplaced icon in the planning stages. That doesn't resemble any teleport in any other spellbook does it?
  16. I can see the rest option being used in actual BH World pk trips/pkri's when things get scattered and certain groups take some time to recharge. Then again the Explorers Ring is more than enough for pkri's and such, so resting may not be that prominent. Still can see people sitting while everyone is battling it out, lol.
  17. St Wars > Star Tek, Stargate...etc (you know the copy failures, and insignificant sci-fi films/books that can't compete with Star Wars). Thus: Hyper/Light > Warp.
  18. Was that really in 2007? Time flies. I remember posting some of these such suck-up posts and such laughable politeness posts and whatnot on that topic towards the mods. Good game immaturity.
  19. Time to do Slayer then. :) Especially on my 1 defense.
  20. I like how they refer to the fix they did as a tweak. Fail.
  21. I guess Jagex is a confident bunch.
  22. Friend got ely sigil at ffa corp I hope he doesn't get banned :ohnoes: Pic? http://img81.imageshack.us/img81/1340/090609132854.png ---- Darkdude, I don't see how these minor bugs, in the span of an hour or less, amount to the damage that the dupe or 6/6/6 bug accomplished to do. Rollback was never going to happen.
  23. So did they update the Lunar & Ancient spellbooks as well? Confused.
  24. Wow, you can't eat & run. Epic game changing mechanic. Pking will actually be fun again...hugging in clan wars will be skill-based and not just eat as much as you can...OMGS! Yes.
  25. They want to send you spam, even though they have a good reputation. I voted, but every category Left 4 Dead was in, I voted for them, lol.
