And you fail to realize that with this topic alone, taking our the spam posts, would reduce it to one page. That second page is generated an ad, which gets counted for revenue. Do this for every single topic on the forums, and you get a lot of money generated just from spam posts.

Well, I do find loading times to be a bit better, what really gets me is that there's been no '20 page creation' times at all, whether that's from lack of users posting, or lack of images, or content, or less script to load, I don't know, but I'll enjoy it now. Though same thing as others have posted, forum skins are needed for visual appeal.

I informed Laikrob over the IRC about this problem, but I thought it best to post about it regardless. Forum sent emails aren't the 'NoReply@w/eitwas.com', it's not just a whole bunch of letters; [email protected] Hence there's no real clarification it's from Tip.It, very easy to exploit this. :| - EDIT - Not sure, but when posting an image, it is automatically reduced to a thumbnail size, whether or not in hide tags. Really annoying.

As Cruiser stepped on, Rating Systems work best, and only with large amount of users. Tip.It comparing to other forums, or 'posting related sites', is probably in the 'high' small scale area. It would seem that only those who are in the high scale use the rating system, but the forums who use it, have a max of 2 ups or downs per day. Also some of those forums or commenting sites aren't always about the person posting. The idea of posting on the forums is to give your idea, your opinion, and we all know how that works on other sites that will flame you and then harass you till you leave. Then the idea about 'commenting' on YouTube or Digg, is to either flame the person, or two word post. There's no community on those sites. Without a community there's no hatred, or social statuses being created. On a community, especially a small one like Tip.It, there is a social ladder on here, it appears on every topic, and how one and another treats those who have posted on topics, whether to challenge their opinion ridiculously, or extremely hard. That's off-topic anyways. A rating system could work though with the limit of +2/-2 'ratings' a day per person to give out on whatever post. But I really don't want to see a -2 on a post that is crude, and impersonal, but still stands as a great opinion, or has a large amount of discussion value. I Could also name 5 people who would get so many ratings in the negatives it wouldn't be funny, and then about 30 who would commonly be the 'fun people to pick on'.

Less spam posting, = less ad's viewed = less money earned. His logic is faulty then, or I'm off of something entirely here. - EDIT - Regardless odie summed it up well.

I used to see tons of 110 to 115s. Now I see tons of 120s to 129s. I used to rarely see 120+. I rarely see 132+. Percent wise no.

Wait, how does posting more intelligently increase the recovery process, or recover money from the ads? I don't see that connection. I don't disagree though, this is something everyone should be doing, at all times, no matter the situation, yet it doesn't happen.

I think it's just you, the randoms I get give pretty useful rewards that I use a lot, like gems, 600+ gp (it's not that I'm poor, but 5k a day from randoms?), and just odd things. If anything Jagex improved the rewards given by randoms. And besides about a month longer and say bye to most randoms.

Only heard stories of this, glad I can read it on the forums now. It's a really surprising quest reward, that is extremely useful. Kind of mad that I won't be able to do the quest. Oh well, extremely happy with the current wave of tasks I'm getting from slayer regardless. The slayer helm is pretty incredible too.

Besides the fact is looked 10x better than any other dragon equipment out there, I'd say they'd need to redo the dragon armour and weapons to match nicely with that. If not, it's going to be an awesome armour, degraded by pathetic looking eqiupment. Also, it does look similar to a dragons mouth, but the overall design reminds me of Tz-Tek(sp?)? I also don't think it'll be released in the coming months, but it may. What it will do on the GE is quite interesting though.

Knowledge Base = Jagex and their 8 year old oriented sentences. Real Players = Their opinion, and view on training. I'd take the latter any day.

Riots do indeed do something, I don't know why all of you are being so ignorant to past riots. The riot over SS got it legal but under certain restrictions. Or did you guys just want to forget about that? What pures are fighting for now, is getting the wild back, but keeping the gravestones. As in you can attack people in the wild, yet if you kill them the gravestone effect is still active. To me that's pretty darn worth rioting for. I also can't believe how many of you are coming to the conclusion that people are rioting for the wilderness back of how it was. We aren't. We're rioting for what I said above. It would help a ton if you all actually researched, and didn't assume.

Thought I was the only one laughing. Hide tags were a custom bbcode, although they cause massive irritation in posts, I'd prefer the skins to be updated first, as it is the real thing causing the headaches. If anyone had looked at what the default skin was on phpbb3, many people would have been deterred from suggesting to transfer, but since we have dedicated admins and mods, we just assumed we'd get around 10 skins easily, though under the circumstances I don't think anyone has the right to complain (constructive criticism is fine but the majority are complaining) for a better skin as of yet. - EDIT - Links, when you click on it, make it a target_blank link instead of sending us to it in the same tab/window, so freaking annoying.

When putting the youtube bbcode on, there is a default size available, and in some forums I've been to, the size is adjustable if allowed. Though I think there needs to be a max widescreen, or 'length screen' for videos, and other dimensions.
