Had I known better of how the system worked, I would have gone a step further: 1. I would have played switzerland and refused entry to both Saradomin and Zamorak refugee, having a battle near Lumbridge is already bad enough, having it WITH Lumbridge, or especially, IN Lumbridge will just spell doom for the village. 2. I would have gotten aid from a non-god affiliated faction, which meant that both Varrock AND Falador are definitely out, leaving with Al Kharid being top choice, given their proximity and lack of affiliated god. 3. Training guardsmen and equipping them. If I were to play Switzerland, I'll need the men to pull it off. Thieves guild doesn't strike me as fighters as much as scouts, which our current situation doesn't need (if we were to actively engage in a war, then they'll definitely be needed).
