  1. There was a change a while back that reduced the chances of a random
  2. I have failed 2 scrolls in the past week, both were over 70%. (So I have gotten 0 scrolls in the past week) It;s either the RNG is now hitting my scroll voyages hard, or else 60% region really IS my lucky region
  3. I want to create the Edicts of Pingouin7. All living beings on Gielinor are now to pay me a tax of 10k each everyday. F that, I want my edict to be that every monster I punch dies immediately, and anything it is possible to drop are dropped into my bank.

Judge become Oxheads in stats as soon as you add another crew besides Judge and captain (which is nearly always, since you would have at least a merchant on it), and adding any other crew after that makes that Judge superior in stats to oxheads (even if the remaining 3 crews are identical) Note that this is for Judge and Oxheads both at level 10, before that, Judge is BETTER than Oxheads by simply having 1 other crew as opposed to needing two. Basically, the first Judge on a ship is superior in stats in all practical circumstances to the Ox, but the Ox is overwhelmingly better than second judge on a ship, so no more than 1 judge per ship is the rule of thumb. Also, Yesterday, I had a voyage fail message stating that one of my crew was found amongst the wreckage at sea, so I assume that's the Life boat 'proc', but I did NOT lose the life boat attached to that ship. So I assume it's permanent
  5. I finished all armor scrolls and a gem mining scrimshaw before I hit pincers, but it took me longer to get to pincers than everyone else (I'd say I was a good 2-3 weeks late, at very least).

Normalising Korasi's sword so that it has the same speed as Vine whip yields 833 / 3 * 2.4 gives 666.4 damage when normalised to fasest speed, comparing that to vine whip of 720, thats about 8% better, not counting the Crit bonus. So in terms of raw dps (IE completely neglecting accuracy), Vine Whip is much better than Korasi's sword. Taking accuracy into account (2384 VS 1695), the difference becomes even larger.
  7. That information is Pre Eoc, when the best crossbows were Chaotic and followed by Rune, and Royal could only use Royal Bolts. Bakriminel bolts can now, as far as I can tell from the level requirement, only be fired from Chaotic and Royal crossbows

The evil Chicken's lair requires Sir Amik Varze's part of Recipe for Disaster to unlock (you need to pretty much complete it, as Evil Chicken's Lair is the last dungeon you enter before you make Amik's food), which requires Legend's Quest complete. Royal D'Hide is flatout better than Sara D'hide, and costs much much less (you'd probably score a full set for less than 25k).

  10. Surge and Escape does both, it moves you (faster than normal movement) and interrupts channeled spells, and builds adrenaline while you are at it, win win win. But I agree, if anything abilities actually HELPS in these kind of tactic heavy combats, as it means you won't have to 'find' the monster again if it runs (or you run it) off the screen. Just a matter of experience and skill that one would normally pick up on the way when using abilities.
  11. You should be able to manually cancel it by using Escape or Surge though.
  12. It would be interesting if we could obtain some information how two different weapons interact with each other (such as, two different tiers, two different speeds or two different types, or some combination of the above).
  13. Many thanks for the help guys, I think I have made my decision. But, I know you might want to kill me now :P, but I just noticed that Off hand claw does less damage than EE (by quite a bit, 384 VS 428, a little over 10% damage difference, probably enough to counter the ~1% critical strike loss), here is my last two questions :P a) If I dual wield two weapons with different tiers, do my ability accuracy come from an average of both hands or just mainhand? I am guessing it's main hand. b) The upkeep of the Chaotic claws would be the same as CLS/CR? (Like 2M for MH and 1M for OH when fully broken)
  14. That was the bit I was missing, thanks. Oh, last thing, in the TWW update, "The latest batch of Evolution of Combat updates is here! Dual wielding has been brought onto the level of two-handed weaponry in raw damage" from the update notes, does that mean main hand abilities now also take off hand into account? (Or at least 2h and dual wield has been normalised)?

That seems rather odd, since the damage difference between a CLS and CClaw is much larger than 1% (768 vs 980), which is what I assume abilities are based on, not the average damage per second of your weapon. I haven't been using Dual wield melee as of late, but when I was using, what i distinctively noticed was that before the update, Abilities will always cause you to skip an Off hand auto attack, so it treats your ability as your last mainhand auto attack, and only resumes at your next designated MH AA. That is why I have a grown a habit of chaining abilities, since in that time frame, unless your weapon is fastest, your slice CD would have finished by that AA, so I basically chain abilities back to back, and so AA very rarely occurs (only when I messed up my rotation). Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to disprove your suggestion, If anything, I'd much prefer to be convinced that Claws are worth using, I like Dual wielding. But I only have 200k dg tokens at the moment, and I don't plan to dg professionally anytime soon, so I would like to make sure that what I am getting is going to worth bang for the buck. I'd be mainly using it for DT boss runs and odd monster hunting, so primary it'd be single target most of the time.
  16. Well, my thought is this: Once you get to the stage where you are only after trade goods, is there any reason to NOT use 4 merchants? go for xp rewards?
  17. But, do abilities now base on DPS of the weapon rather than the damage? Because I am still somewhat under the impression that, for abilities, the slower the weapon, the better (I chain abilities back to back, so AA rarely ever comes into play for me in melee, if I am doing this wrong, please let me know), so Dual CLS/CR was, by that assumption, by default better than Dual chaotic claws...

I was using SS, Anguish, Void, Extreme Ranging potion and Royal Crossbow, didnt bring food, just prayer restore and normal prayer potions, and I was able to stay there for about an hour at a time. (I only turned SS on when I need the healing). Also, Incendiary Shot is, from what I can tell, the most powerful ultimate you can use on them since it hits for 8000 on the Automatons (only Unload could potentially do more, but you need to dual wield for it). Guthix's Blessing is also very useful ability to use, but try not to use it in combat.
  19. On single target, probably, for multi-targets, 2h still wins because of the AoE abilities being exclusively 2h (Cleave, Hurricane and Quake)
  20. I have enough mats to make two superior pieces, with the successful return of storyline today yielding me a 3rd piece. As of now, all I need are trade goods and I can make anything I want pretty much. I am currently at 52 scrolls (all armors and 4 scrimshaws) But I am also severely behind due to work schedule, i;d be lucky if i can send out voyages twice on a given day, and i still prioritise Scrolls over everything else as completionist thing. I never really had a problem with resources in the early regions, and my idea was I'd rather backtrack to an earlier region for higher success rates on resources than having agonisingly slow scroll income rate.
  21. Give him an empty inventory and set his max weight to just above his gear weight, that oughtta solve it :P
  22. Has there been any testing done comparing dual wield to 2h melee weapons now? I have yet to get my first Chaotic weapon, while I have enough for a Maul, I would be pretty much using it exclusively to do stuff like Dominion tower rather than slaying or general monster killing, so I was wondering, in such cases, 2h's advantage of stronger wouldn't be very much used...
  23. Tyrael - Could always do with an Angel mount that can dish damage. Doraemon - I need his mobile banking Dovahkiin - With fully enchanted gear, and him continuously casting healing spells on me :D
  24. I assume you are using crystal bow or Zaryte bow?
