I also think that if somebody leaves in a medium or large map after 15 minutes or more have elapsed in that dungeon, and they do not return before the boss is killed or they slide down the stairs to permanently leave the party, they should receive a 50% exp penalty for the next medium or large map they complete. Ragequitting is a big problem with the idiots in W117, and losing the exp for your current floor apparently isn't enough of a deterrent. I agree, FOG style penalties and the base dropping features should be fairly simple to implement and would greatly increase the quality of this feature that I never use.

What exactly is so wrong with LeBrons desicion? I've had friends recieve dragon platebodys from zombie implings. Sniping clearly exists, hundreds of rare hunters aren't wrong. Also i've had personal experience. He's not wrong. When you have multiple active offers you have a better chance to get an item, and after part of your offer is filled it gets much less likely for the rest to fill. Trying putting in multiple offers of whatever bought out item(quickly). if you were fast enough and enough are sold, you will notice that you get 1 bought in each seperate offer before multiples in any single offer are bought, and getting multiple off one box is pretty rare from my experience. Also, notice when you're selling large quantities, fifo definately gets randomized a bit as you will see chunks of your offer going at a time. It is not because you are the only person selling, and the only buyers were buying at different times.

I would recommend sniping the sigil instead of the actual sheild? since they update everyday, it would be more than possible to get one. Also, consider that CS drops will sell automatically for mid to the first offer which means you might save a little money when you successfully snipe one. So you get coins back for sniped CS items? Bit annoying...I gave up on trying to snipe and scrounged up 3.5 red masks hoping to trade for one med....and then masks crashed :wall:

LoL, it's nothing? I personally didn't even know I had any climbing boots in my bank, but I had 6, which was a high alch value of about 240k. Nothing really, but when you introduce that gold to most players in the game, it adds up, and it does and will cause massive inflation. Look at the price of bandos armour, godswords, and dragon bones (the lucky ones who benefited from this buying their way to 99 prayer).. they're shooting up like crazy.. and it's not because people are trying to merchant them. Yes it is, because I and any other sensible person without reservations about taking advantage of stupidity and with spare coins is stocking up. EDIT: To the above, there is no currency exchange in runescape other than psuedo rares like crowns and such, and those cost too much to be significantly affected other than people selling off their lower rares(aka masks) to have more coins to buy weapons and such.

A few random people gaining 5 to 10m once is nothing. HOWEVER, people expect prices to rise and so will buy combat based things to hopefully profit off the rise and in the end collectively cause the inflation they anticipate.

Tbh his job is like community managing or something and well mod MMG does all that basically. Considering Rune boots have a high alch price of 8k, D boots are 12k. Where would they get the 45k alch price for climbing boots from? That makes 0 sense. Also this update was leaked to certain people beforehand(I know a mod who it was leaked to). So I think Mod Mark was trying to "help" a few of his friends out because anyone who wasn't a true idiot could have seen this coming. Thats why there were a couple people who stockpiled boots. There were plenty of fixes to this... You could have changed all current climbing boots to the quest version or just made their alch value and sellback value horribly low. Sure they still would have been used in junk trades then, but thats not a horrible alternative to what it is now. The fact they are triyng to tell us people commonly bought them for 75k is bull. If you think the Lead Designer of Runescape made an update to help out of a few of his ingame friends then you are truly a 12 year old. Content standards change over the years, and old content must be retrofitted to meet the new standards. This is just one of the changes that impacts the game visibly. Mod Mark KNOWS that it will impact the economy with short-term inflation. He says this in his post. He also knows that a few hundred people got rich. This has NO long-term effect for the economy. Just 12 year olds getting jealous of lucky people. No long term effect? We are talking thousands of bils of coins injected into the economy. trolololol! It's a single injection to a few targeted areas. People get all excited when things are clearly tangible like this, but over time the boot coins will not compare to what has already been(and continues to be) introduced through pvp and other sources of inflation.

So there is little difference efficiency-wise...that just leaves looks, and swords look cooler than giant toothpicks.

IT'S UNDER 9000!!!! OT: I am looking to eventually get a Divine/Ely. What are my best options? -- Earn enough cash to straight up buy the street value of Div/Ely (I can make 4-5M/hr) -- Play with / Merch stuff until I have enough anti-junk to buy -- Do Corp (I'd rather not - if I don't get a Div/Ely Sigil I'll have wasted many hours in which I could have earned enough money) Through pumpkin+say...red mask+cash for ely from straight coins you would need 500mish for the pump, 200-250mish for the mask, and then 250mish for the difference, so 1bish via straight pumpkin... Crown to pumpkin...you could probably get a pumpkin for 10 crowns+60ishm coins, and that will cost you 450m at most(+60ish) so...pretty much the same thing. OR you could buy a bunch of green masks which are crashing at the moment I think, sit on them for a while and then try to trade up when they recover. Everyone that I've ever talked to says that divines are a lot more common as drops, so if you really enjoy corp, you could spend a few weeks-months there and get one at a profit, maybe.

Rapier Long is better at bandos/tds/sara, rapier everywhere else. dunno about sara or bandos but godswords were great at TD's wouldn't the chaotic maul be best for TD's then? The problem with the CLS is that it's usefulness is smooshed in between the maul and the rapier Exactly what I was thinking, but what is really important is whether a godsword is better than a rapier at tds for anyone who will most likely only get one barring some major structural changes...like me.
