  1. The ONLY thing that you are missing out on with the ancient hymnal is the ability to use the lower level boosts(5-10%). This is actually a pretty big hit for me personally while slaying because I use the 5% prays contantly and compensate with sgs specs, but I'd think that the guranteed half sgs spec from soul split more than compensates for that. EDIT: Also, I don't see why you would target minions wit the leech spells, draining kree's defense while boosting your own makes a notable difference in the time that kills take, but you can't(or at least I can't) survive on no pots while using leech along with deflect...
  2. The xp is fantastic there, and if you bring a pak cow with some scrolls banking is not a problem. However, with keeping all herbs over 3k and banking what could not fit in the yak and my inventory via scrolls, the profits from a 220ish spectre task came out to be a whopping 9.4k.
  3. I tried both Mining Golds and MiningGolds for a very limited amount of time, and the clan without the spaces seemed to call out rocks and work together more efficiently. They also were using world 44 which has a higehr population/faster rock respawn rate. i don't know if that is their regular world or if MiningGolds is regularly better, but they were at the time.
  4. I'm betting that it does work, but that is way too much effort for an intangible bonus in my eyes.
  5. For people like me who [bleep]ing hate runecrafting, it is so you can get the rubbish out of the way quickly in order to make money with something enjoyable, like killing stuff.
  6. For familiars per trip assuming you use house tabs... Yak-50 (max is 54 but that takes 2 deposits/withdrawals and 3 offers) Tort-42 Bird-36 Simply divide your total by the number per trip to get your total trips, and then multiply your total trips by 2. If you are going to be spending any considerable amount of time doing this, you really may want to consider getting your own altar. Now, while the time between levels is shorter it is ok, but the loss in xp from burners going out and the loss in time from having to retype a name+reload a house really starts to add up after a while.
  7. I'm told that aligning tiaras is the fastest possible rc experience(no personal testing), but I am also told that it is ridiculously expensive.
  8. I have no idea what these error messages mean, but I noticed that they mention Java, so I updated my java. This has not stopped the issue, though.
  9. For some reason my computer will randomly freeze and reset while playing runescape in HD. I have no idea what causes this, and I had no idea how to replicate the problem until recently. If i have a cannon set up and firing in the new spectre dungeon, the crash will happen. I have no idea what this emans, but it would be great to fix this...I'm amazed that I did not die, it looks like Jagex has made it so you automatically logout faster if you get disconnected or something, because I had pressed "fire" before I turned on prayer, but when I got back to runescape, I had only lost about 40 hp. Still extremely scary...though. A while ago I used to get error messages saved to the desktop, but this stopped happening. I still have 2 of them saved, though... 10. Is it more profitable to take a pak yak while using the magic protection prayer or unicorn without prayer for spectre tasks? I have not slayed in a good while...and in that time herb prices have increased dramatically. So, I was wondering if it would be more profitable to bank them with the cow's scroll. The last time that i had a spectre task, the only vaguely worthwhile herbs to pick up were ranarr kwuarm and possibly dwarf weed, but now 8 herbs are over 3k apiece 1 - 11.6k - ranarr 2 - 9.1k - dwarf 3 - 8.1k - lant 4 - 5.8k - kwuarm 5 - 5.3k - avantoe 6 - 4.9k - toad 7 - 3.7k - irit 8 - 3.6k - cad and storage scrolls are worth 441, so is the cost of prayer potions(no I will not be pray flashing for an entire task, that was the reason for tanking in the first place), which are worth 13.4k per 4 doses, negated by the increased herb sales? All Prices as of December 19, 2009 After actually looking up the prices of the various relevant items while making this post, it seems blatantly obvious that taking a cow will be more efficient, if a bit tedious, but I do not feel like erasing all of what I just typed. EDIT: Also, do you get any experience for deflected damage?

There is nothing wrong with that, just take the corpse to the wizard and he will make your gree gree. After some quest that I forgot the name of, the only way to get at their bones is to carve up the corpse with a knife, I think, but you do not need to do this to make a gree gree.
  12. If you do not need the item, do not buy it. If you do need the item, then after you buy it the price is of no consequence. If this particular item will take up more of your total worth than you are comfortable with, then do not buy it. Arma is not necessary for anything(barring 1 piece for arma trips), and it is not even that big of a step up from karils.
  13. Being black, it is extremely fun for me to watch people get all worked up over any slight mention of anythign that might almost possibly be considered to slightly allude to race in some way. On topic, ooh free stuff. Is there a list somewhere of updated quests so that I don't have to check eack one? Or is it just F2P quests?
  14. Go with a larger team. Soloing is slower, more dangerous, and less profitable in the long run if you have average to pathetically horrible luck such as mine. If you enjoy soloing as much as you say, you should probably get together some more capital befor eyou bankrupt yourself on dry trips.

Well 1230 your post really seems to discredit you...and as the deplorably sad record in my signature will tell you, I have plenty of experience killing these things, and have managed to find a very efficient method to do so. On your suggestions... +Verac skirt/climbing boots-Increased melee defense is of no use to an experienced hunter, so the only bonus is the 3 prayer, which I manage fine without, dhide increases range accuracy notably, does not decrease melee accuracy, and is cheaper to replace if you have an unstable computer like I do. +Wealth-honestly I personally place no value in anyone's opinion on this matter, Jagex said that they should "probably" be more explicit in the kb or something to that affect a while ago, and I am happily awaiting that illumination. +"Lose the ee"-iI a word, why? There is no loss whatsoever from taking it to use in an emergency situation. Anyone who has been down there for a considerable amount of time will have run into the "I've never been here before can you help me?" people who scramble up the tds before teleporting away and get all sorts of hits on you. Sacrificing 5 minutes few d hally specs for a free shark is acceptable in an emergency. +Limiting range-completely false. The xbow hits faster, and I have a considerable range boost. The hally does hit harder, but it is painfully slow. Taking extra bolts only serves to slow you down and waste spaces, and the weak defense of the demons makes diamond bolts unnecessary(specs rarely activate here anyways). +2 Ponies-completely unnecessary and inefficient. People seem to think that staying for more kills is good, unless you are taking more pure sets(and losing out on precious inventory spaces), you will be killing the demons slowly after your first pure set runs out. It takes less than 4 minutes to bank, so I see no reason to extend trips beyond the limit of one unicorn and part of a t birds timer. +Godsword-Again glance at my signature, money is not an issue. I have tried every td setup that you could think of, halberds outperform godswords markedly. Yes, you will get kills more quickly with a godsword. However, you will use much more prayer, which will require you to take more potions. You will also need to pay more attention, which will cut down on my tv time drastically. Some sacrifices are too grave to make. ON TOPIC No, the leech defense curse is not efficient at all. The increased accuracy is not notable enough to warrant the increase in prayer consumption. I was really asking more about how comparable the drainr ate of deflect+leech at 17 bonus as opposed to just deflect at 12 bonus would be, I just asked in a rushed and inspecific way. Also, what gear do you take,Pikachu? I can't see managing over 20...and I'd have to sacrifice about 40 range bonus to do so... I don't use void, currently I go in... neitz helm fury black dhide top black dhide bottom white boots rune xbow / d hally / darklight / ee skill cape barrows gloves wealth broad bolts That only gives me 13, with a v bottom and stole I could boost up to 21 I believe..

Would it be viable to use leech defense and a stole at tormented demons instead of just a fury?
  18. I believe that crapping on people is generally frowned upon amongst most cultures.
  19. I'm guessing that that is the new metal dragon fortress that we were running around and those are probably irons/steels.
  20. Has anyone tried testing to see if using the spec bar leech works with npcs? and if so, does using that prayer and assuming you get at least 5 prayer points per sgs spec result in a net gain of prayer points? I'm going to assume no, but maybe.
  21. So...do these new prayers drain at a comparable rate to their normal counterparts? Besides the lack of piety for a while or ever mixing protect and piety I could see staying on ancients indefinately...time to get that cape back! EDIT: Is anyone else having problems with HD? It is telling me that I can't enter this mode without giving any explanation...
  22. If I find a way to fill three jugs with wbter, it better work or I am going to sue Jagex...
  23. The sarcasm is strong in this one. In a word, lol. On topic. I hope that they will be tagging on a bit more to this event. This would be the first major holiday event that has added nothing whatsoever to the game, I believe.
  24. As long as they do not add killing Jad as a requirement I'll be happy with this. I'm just much too lazy to dedicate that much time to getting that cape.
  25. Fliping does not affect supply or demand, because when the flipper buys the item, they increase the demand. However, when they sell the item, they increase the supply by exactly the same trivial amount cancelling out the first transaction nearly completely. The only thing that they affect is the number of people who get a good deal on whatever item the flippers are flipping.
