17-Jan-2011 - Hati The Winter Wolf
Dammit! This is not fair! Why is there all this Scandinavian content?!?!?! We people resident in North America should get some regional-specific content too! On February 2, 2011, I want Jagex to release a GIANT ALBINO GROUNDHOG (Level 999) -- called Falador Fphil -- and players have to kill it before it sees it's own shadow, or there will be 6 more weeks without an update ... No? :???: Ooh ooh -- how about a Wolpertinger called Willie? A Bunyip called Bill?

Wilderness and Free Trade will return - 17 January 2011
Oh! I do hope they keep the Wildy Volcano! It was such a nice spot to bank and telly to. So nice and central to the entire Wildy -- you could access Greater demons for slayer tasks, so easily. Oh, and it was nice and close to those other mini-games -- like Stealing Creation -- and other related events that were nearby -- you know, like penguins, falling stars. Not to mention that re-writing the data for the Gaming Ammy would mean some more change in codes, and they'd have to move Stealing Creation, and they'd have to remove that bank, and all the other stuff that's out there close to everything, and stuff ... Wow -- sounds like a lot of work to me for only two weeks, prep, doesn't it? #-o Thats what I forgot - Relocate penguins and falling stars to wildy island instead of wilderness. - Recode Gaming Ammy But yeah the wildy volcano is convenient but I think the deal is pkers get their wilderness and skillers get theirs. I am sure wildy island where its all moved to will have green drags, clues (perhaps), slayer monsters and convience like now Or: Jagex could just give those people who DON'T WANT the "old Wildy" back the exact same consideration they gave all those people who complained about the removal of the "old Wildy" -- and that is, set aside certain worlds where the "current" wildy continues to exist, complete with Revanants, volcano, penguins, falling stars, and what-not ... Or not.

I am curious about how Jagex is planning to handle "borrowed items" in the new "old" revised Wildy?

Tip.It Times - 16th January 2011
Sound familiar? Jagex made a rubbish voting system, realised they'd mucked up and replaced it. The second one (the referendum) did not engineer a bias in the result. I actually made my own dissaproval of the "petition" clear in the part of my post you quoted (and in other parts of my post), and I have also composed blog entries about it (feel free to read them). Well - for the sake of argument - how do we truly know that Jagex actually honestly recorded "all" the votes on the second poll? Doesn't it seem just as likely that they already planned on bringing it back, and merely made up a poorly designed "poll" the first time, then covered their tracks and recorded only a small percentage of the "no" vote to skew the results into showing what they wanted? Secondly, if Jagex wanted a real honest vote, why didn't then have each issue voted on separately? In so many ways, this reminds me of the 1995 Quebec Referendum question: Yes [] No [] Don't care []

okay, most of your points have some merit to them, but how do you explain this? are you [developmentally delayed]ed? I'm referring to those who operate more than one account, simultaneously, then transfer the wealth from these other accounts into one central account. Once upon a time, such methods were considered "against the rules", as I recall. Meh - evolve or die, I always say. I'll continue to play. I only hope that Jagex will allow us to increase the limit on our Ignore List within the game. Unfortunately, IMO, Jagex are letting the worst dregs of the game dictate how it's going to be played. The people who want to scam, steal and otherwise generally behave badly, are being given free licence, once again, to wreak havoc upon the unsuspecting and ill-prepared. <_<

Wilderness and Free Trade will return - 17 January 2011
For the sake of argument -- if they're going to bring back "free trade" -- will they also bring back the "unlimited" quantities of items in General Stores and other similar places? Will one, for example, be able to buy from an unlimited quantity of bronze throwing knives ...?

Well -- one thing is for certain -- I am not going to wear ANYTHING of value ANYWHERE for at least a week. Just to make absolutely sure we don't end up with another 6/6/6 fiasco and another Durial321 wannabe ... In the meantime -- look at all the great stuff that's coming back: Unlimited begging; Free armour trimming; All you can eat scamming; Unlimited botting; Account sharing; Real World Trading; Gold farmers; and much much more! YAY! -- I can't wait!!!

17-Jan-2011 - Hati The Winter Wolf
Yes, I thought next month we'd have to fight a Puerto Rican Possum. :P Be serious! Everyone knows that February 2nd is Groundhog Day! We're gonna have to fight an Albino Groundhog, and -- uh -- if it sees it's own shadow then it's six more weeks till Free Trade and the Wildy returns ...

Hati gloves
Anyone try using them for a 90+ combat skill?

General Aversion to Degradation
I think a lot has to do with the cost factor of the repairs involved. According to Rs/Wiki, the new armours cost 200k for every hour of degradation, which adds up to 2 Mill per set for repair costs when they hit "0". There's a LOT of people who will balk at that price.
-
General Aversion to Degradation
Because we're getting sicker and sicker of the same damn mechanic being used over and over. But...it's not...we have 3 major areas that degrade Barrows Chaotics Nex Armor/bow Anything else that degrades that I'm able to think of just isn't worth using anymore (or never was worth using) Elven Crystal Bow/Shield

With more ess bots usually means more bots making runes as well. I remember going to world 1 or 2 with bots undercutting each other trying to sell deaths and nats. either that or they got the runes buy auto buying from the rune shops at mage bank and port sarim Wait, what? Will "free-trade" also mean that they will allow stores to sell unlimited quantities of items once again?

10-01-11 God Wars - The Ancient Prison
I feel like this is getting overlooked. this would be the opposite order of the rest of the boss's. I agree, you can see the NPC's in the corner "charging" Nex at the start of the battle. I think they have to be killed before you have to deal with her.. or get 4 people to distract them by attacking them? Sounds a little like Jad and its healers, no?

*perk* Wait, what? Where is this confirmation? It will heal more when you are wearing Torva armour, not with regular gear (only with torva melee, magic or ranged equipment), to help achieve max lifepoints in near enough the same amount of hp it does to get to your current max ;) so if it was 1300 lifepoints instead of 990 lifepoints, it might heal 260 a shark for example so 5 shark = 1300 LP instead of 5 = 1000 LP. Yes, thank you, but WHERE can this confirmation be found? It was in a free trade FAQ, but I can't locate it, just take our word :P <_< You're making this stuff up ...

Protect Prayers looked down upon
Personally, nothing says "elite" like someone who trash talks during a safe PvP mini-game ... /sarcasm

Godsword Discussion
Dragon scim is probably better Most definitely. BGS is WAY to slow for training strength. That said, I love my SGS for certain slayer tasks. SGS + Soul Split = Awesome! IMO ... :shades:

I agree with this. If you're lacking the cojones to fight in the Wildy with these elements applied, then go to F2P ...

It's purely aesthetic it lasts 6 minutes and costs 500K ...

I'd strongly suspect that you don't have children. If you did, you'd appreciate the heartbreak that a child endures when his items are basically stolen from him. As a parent, it's gut-wrenching to discover that some douchebag has scammed your child out of items he worked so hard to acquire. This is one of the reasons I don't want "free-trade" back. Though my children are all older and wiser now there is a large population of children playing the game who will be taken advantage of by people who consider earstwhile unconscionable acts as valid game tactics, because they can hide their truly despicable nature behind a computer screen ...

New Armors - leaked in the new runescape video
Dang -- I cannot "see" the video from my work -- but from what I CAN see of the stills and what-not, it appears to me that the majority of the characters running through the scene are either current NPC's or Jagex's own fictional PC's. I'd strongly doubt that ANY of the gear you're seeing in this video has anything to do with "new" gear ...

The Return of Ess Runners?
true, but it would still take a while to put up all of those runes. probably around like 20 clicks. Exactly, which is why ZMI running probably won't become popular. Which is precisely my point. There are precious few "runners" out there who are going to show the patience to just sit idle waiting for a crafter to cycle through some 20 clicks. It'd be convenient for the crafter, perhaps, but not for the runner. Hell -- it'd prolly not even be convenient for the crafter either ... lol then all of us are in agreement  Holy cats! We all agree on something?!?!
