Do you think anybody will ever get all skills to 200mil xp?
Quite simply it will NEVER happen! As at today's date, the top 9 players total XP combined is 'only' 4.5bil - the equivalent of all stats maxed to 200mil. Considering that big chunks of the top 2's xp is made up of fletching and cooking which are both comparatively quick to level it's just not possible. Even doing very rough calculations - assume that the top 9 have been playing 3 years each (I know some more and at least 2 less but hey) that's 27 years of combined xp! Also, since this post was originally made Jagex have announced the addition of Hunter - so 4.6bil xp will be needed now :D

A fresh start-the Runescape Ladder
Hmm, I think it'd have to be a different game as I'm not sure that I'd fancy re-doing all the stuff I've done - and there are heaps of people who've done loads more! Personally what I think would be interesting is an additional set of high scores based upon the time when players join. E.g. high scores of players joining in 2005 etc...

200m xp
I doubt that anyone of them going fishing is going to have much of an impact on the cooking high scores  Well if it's as someone said above, where it's a masked-XP cap, then having them not fish might prove it. That or if N0valyfe hits #1 in the skill, then that would definately prove it. I think you missed my point.... :D

Poll: Healing with Guthan's.
^ That's the answer right there. The style of attack will not change how frequently the healing effect occurs. However, if your opponent is weaker to a certain style of attack, then if you're using that style you are more likely to actually do damage when the healing effect occurs - therefore more likely to leech hp.

latin in runescape?
Yep Miscellania can be directly traced to the latin word 'Miscellanea' meaning sundries/odds and ends, indeed the same word is still in use today. There is also Miscellany meaning the same thing but with the more modern spelling - both are included in the English dictionary. Both are derivatives of the latin word 'Miscellus' meaning mixed. Huge amounts of the English language are based upon Latin, using 'Canis' as another example, the modern day word 'Canine' is derived from it's Latin source. Interestingly though, the word 'Rune' is not Latin-based, but rather has Germanic and Celtic origins coming from the word 'Ru-no' meaning 'source of magic'

Hunter Skill!
You surprise me Fresh :P Can't believe that soo many people are complaining already and it's not even out yet!! The only reason that people are saying it is rushed is since it's coming out so soon after the construction release. However, even Jagex stated that construction was delayed from their intended release date.... So: a) If construction had gone in according to the original plan there would have been a longer gap between the skills being released B) To imagine that work only started on Hunter Skill after construction was completed is just daft c) We've already seen that Jagex won't implement a skill until they think it's right - there was a lot more expectation/pressure for the construction skill What's more interesting is the question asked in a previous post as to what items might be required - granted it's only speculation, but that's far more thought-provoking than "I don't like the sound of this new skill"....

medium pouch help
For future reference, to get the small pouch simply go and ask the dark mage in the centre of the abyss - he'll replace your small pouch immediately... should save a bit of time :)

Anyone else notice the likeness?
I just noticed this post, and I thought of one. Compare three Gnomes riding around on a Giant Battle Tortoise and firing off spells to something in real life. Also to anyone who doesn't believe me, go outside Tree Gnome Stronghold, you'll see them. I'm sorry Cotamatias, but I just had to type this  Anyways, I'm done now. Gonna go do math homework Touche'(Cant do real accents :wall: ) Will think about that and come back to you at the end of school, I can find something some how. Here you are cotamatias: Manorware pottery dating back to roughly 1970's... Granted he's not casting magic spells but hey. Also in general, the concept of riding on the back of a tortoise is not novel - Darwin was alleged to have done so when he visited the Galapagos Islands in 1835...

Guide of Runescape Maximums [Updated to 09062007] Retired
That's the max for the highscores if I'm correct. You can still get more exp even after 200,000,000. Nope, you can still cook/fletch (I use these as most common examples) items once you get to 200,000,000 xp but you don't receive xp for it, either on highscores or individually. N0valyfe confirms this in his FAQ page on his blogsite, I believe there's also a screenshot by Matt258 in the rate this section here on TIF. Edit: Incidentally, on the subject of max KC, it was RAHK who completed this study and it was only upon opening the chest that it stated "Kill Count too many" with 10K kills. RAHK repeated this with KC 9,999 and did not receive the same message. For those of you who haven't read the blog it's well worth it .... clicky here to read in full

Anyone else notice the likeness?
If I recall, I believe that was Thundercats... Don't ask how I'd remember that... Err, Nope, it was He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. He-Man's arch-enemy was Skeletor who indeed had a skull for a face - though from memory he did have a bottom jaw and I don't think it was a mask :) The Thundercats arch-enemy was Mumra the ever-living. Anyway that's enough of that before I get a reputation  Back on topic there's a whole heap of examples of skull masks of one description or another IRL, all most all of the pre-dating Harry Potter. In fairness there's a limit to what you can do with a skull mask - removing the lower jaw is one of the very few variations possible on a full skull face. Since skeleton costumes are one of the archetypal Halloween costumes it's near impossible to follow custom *and* be original at the same time....

On Permanent Death
There are definitely styles of games to which (I think) a permanent death would improve game play. Runescape though is not one of them! Too much effort goes into building a single character for it to be wiped out by the Dag Kings, Dharock or worse still curiosity (click here to see what i mean) In order for permanent death to be incorporated into a game, without players leaving/losing interest everytime their character dies, individual players would need to control multiple characters and be able to add to these as they progress (e.g. A new player might start with 5 chars, an experienced player might have 100+). Obviously this brings about other problems - it would not be practical to control 100+ characters individually so the player would have to control alter-egos and set training/tasks whilst not actively playing on that character (say Age of Empires or Championship Manager style).. In other words the game would have to be of an extremely different format to Runescape for permanent deaths to not kill off interest in the game itself. As an aside though: I've seen people asking how Runescape might end (if it ever does) and permanent character deaths would be an interesting manner of doing this!

inexplicably untradable items
Not saying it's a good reason, but I suspect that the reason that the slayer gem isn't tradeable is because you could then borrow someone else's whilst you were slaying to find out how many kills are left for your task... Meaning you would save an inventory space. As I say, not a good reason....

Just to be 100% sure about PC
In pest control you will lose nothing if you die. Put another way, if you die in pest control, you keep everything :) Hope that clears it up for you!

there are no nuts on the tree
Happened to me as well, you need to go back to the 3 monkeys and make sure they tell you that the type of nuts you have aren't quite right... If you cut their conversation off before then there are no nuts on the tree :?

whats the worst time you have had connection loss??
Black Demons in full Guthan. I did learn the lesson that all the other parts of Guthans protect over the spear though... Which is nice. Also learnt that Guthans never heals when you need it to. My lessons always seem to be expensive...

Runescape References
Yeah, I want SCREENSHOTS. And where is the "Should i pronounce it bucket" reference from The "should I pronounce it bucket" quote comes from a UK sitcom called Keeping Up Appearances, where the main character is called Hyacinth Bucket and insists on it being pronounced "Bouquet" as this sounds more upper class...

Help on a Few things, New P2P Player.
Since ur new I'll answer the questions before pointing you to the help and advice board.... What is Veracs? How can i create it or obtain it?A Barrows set of armour that can be gained through killing all brothers; also can be bought off other players - cannot be created by players. Each barrows set as a special effect, Veracs hits through armour and prayer What is Guthans? How can i create it or obtain it? As above, Guthans special effect is healing What is Guthix? How can i create it or obatain it? God armour attainable from treasure trails or buying off other players has the same defensive stats as rune armour What is Saradomins? How can i create it or obtain it? As above, different god, different colour Which set is the best? The god armours are more decorative than anything else, the barrows armours are the best in the game, which one depends largely on what you're doing. Torags is the highest defensive stats but the set effect is bad, my personal favourite is guthans. What are the prices of these sets? varies, and have come down a lot, check the price list thread! EDIT: Tags - looked awful with answers in bold rather than questions

Old JaGeX behind the scenes from 2004
The other thing that was missing from the original post is the whole heap of things that Jagex have implemented that weren't listed in their plans 2 years ago... There have been some great updates in that time, not to mention more than 20 quests added!!

Just to confirm.... It is level 77 and you do get a message telling you that members can now craft bloods.. My guess is that you'll truly be able to craft them as a reward for completing the next quest in the myreque series, or maybe the one after :D

Quest's, whats your stance?
Always use the guide from start to finish. It's not that I don't enjoy the quests, just simply that I want to complete them as quick as possible...
