Is it not possible to save progress in the fight caves now though? You get a few minutes warning which should be enough. Not 100% sure as haven't been there for a while but I'm sure I read that on here somewhere!

BAD! And worse the higher level you are, previously there was the potential to get 25k+ xp in 2 chosen skills (subject to what level that skill was). Now there is simply 7650xp irrespective of level :(

Mostly true but by that definition there is nothing in Runescape that is "hard" except for maybe obtaining a fire cape. But it is definitely a long road. Even the rich can't take too many short cuts though cannoning your way through tasks does speed it up. My current level is about the worst! You hit 1mil xp and realise that you're only about 35% there....

When did this get zapped? I did a couple of searches but can't find any topics on it. The skill xp reward at the end used to be dependent on the level of the skill you wish to increase - it's now a flat 7650xp in any 4 skills which quite frankly is cabbage. :cry:

I know it's only a game and thus the impacts are less, but people seem to fail to understand that there is still an impact because behind the pixels are other real life players.... It's not quite the same as driving a tank through LA in Grand Theft Auto! I'll set about answering my own rhetoric question, and suggest that the reason is lack of consequence - irl (assuming you got caught - which is probably a bit optimistic but hey) you'd face going to prison for stealing a car. In RS you gain upto 400gp per arrow depending on type. However, I've noticed there are a great deal fewer arrow thieves in the wildy! The reason? Because the "owner" of those arrows is able to do something about it...

It's worrying that so many people seem to think it's ok.. Yes, I understand that they're not "your arrows" once they've been fired, yes I also realise that the game was designed in a way that allows other people to pick them up... But really unless someone is clearly not interested in picking their arrows up surely it just comes down to common courtesy not to steal them? As a related aside, do the sort of people who deliberately wait around to steal arrows (as in Sly Wizard's example) not realise that if they spent the same amount of time woodcutting/mining/fletching the could actually MAKE the arrows far quicker? I guess that doesn't irritate anyone though so would clearly not be as much fun.... :roll:

6k RC and 12k Magic xp is awesome from what looks like quite a simple quest!

There's another way which is possibly even easier. Rather than using favourites to bookmark the page once you have actually loaded the world which is a bit unreliable, when you are on the world select page refresh until the world is available (you only need to do this once). Once your chosen world is available go to "File/Save as" save the page as .htm locally and you have a permanent world login page. If you select a particularly quiet time to take a copy of this file you can get a full list of ALL worlds, ALL green so you can go where you want when you want...

They were about 2.1mil BC (before construction). They're not hard to find just do a search on official forums or market place here and have a look at a few threads to gauge current prices last I saw they were going for between 1 and 1.4 mil. It gives a +4 range bonus to both attack and defense. No other bonuses.

In answer to several people raising the same question, you DO abo[bleep]ely have to have completed Desert Treasure in order to assign the Canifis teleport. I would assume the same to be true for mage lvl for the other teles but I haven't been able to see this for myself.

its probably because jagex want to ruin the merchanters, since thats not the goal of the game, but skilling is I don't see how it will ruin merchanters? It will at least temporarily quell the inflation in the game, but lowering the value of items means that cash buys more. Some small-time merchanters might have been stung if they had a lot of cash invested in items at the time of the release. But by and large most of them will have just taken advantage of the immediate rise in price of Oak. In addition, they're probably one of the few groups of people who can actually afford the higher end items within the skill without it being a massive impact on their bank account. In short, if I were a merchanter I'd be quite happy with the release. I would also have the Dog's *ahem* of a house!

I've spent just over 5mil for lvl 56 cons, but I've been massively exuberant in my house and deleted rooms/replaced them as i've gone along. I also trained on mahog for a short while. Either way, teak and mahog are expensive and (mahog especially) will remain so unless Jagex tweak the cost of making planks. Anything that you buy from the stone mason is hugely expensive except limestone. The skill is definitely a complete drain on your bank account! Especially as flat pack furniture isn't of any great value and not many peeps are buying, though this might change I guess as time goes by, there are some really good things that I would consider buying if I don't get the required level (guilded altar would be a good example). By the way, for those of you who haven't tried it yet, all flat pack furniture high alchs for 6gp :lol:
