--What is your "non combat" combat lvl--UPDATED NUMBERS--
Dumb comment since you're removing those skills from the equation it's necessary to remove the '1' in order to get a true average. Extra homework for you. Back on topic 75.3 P2P

Now That SwiftSwitch Has Been Changed....
The one thing that Jagex has done through the update and subsequent revision of their rules is to finally acknowledge the existence of 3rd Party Softwares and provided guidelines for authors who have created or wish to create one in the future. In doing so they have also generated a great deal of publicity for the better known toolkits such as SS. To my way of thinking this has to be a good thing, previously reference to, or even posting images where the application was visible were banned on these forums. Now since the rules updates, players are (seemingly) able to openly discuss the pros and cons of using a 3rd party client and proffer opinions on how trustworthy they may or may not be. As such readers of this and other forums have access to much greater information allowing them to make a more informed choice on whether or not they wish to use such a tool. The results of last week's poll, whilst showing that just under 1 in 4 Tip.Iters use some form of 3rd party client, actually highlighted a more interesting fact - nearly half didn't actually know what one was. Were the same poll to be cast in a month's time I would imagine that the results would be quite different. Personally I have never used any 3rd party client, though have considered it, mostly for the inbuilt IRC to avoid having to re-arrange my screen to accomodate MIRC. I very briefly tried Rune HQ's but found that it crashed or froze continually making it of little value. With the recent update and having spoken to a number of existing users I'm very tempted to now try SS. Overall, my biggest surprise is that Jagex hasn't seen this as an opportunity to purchase one or more of the largest clients, bring it in house so as they control the function (and additional ad space) develop it further in unison with player requirements and subsequently sell it for a one off fee as a bolt on! Looking at the outrage that was caused when it was banned it is clearly something that players value.

Quest Cape, Why Higher Levels disrepect those who are lower.
I don't think it's the case that higher levels wish to restrict the number of lower levels with quest capes at all. Personally I don't care how many people have them. What I think higher levels want is more of a challenge within the quest and therefore (usually) better rewards at the end of it. What I really want to see is the "Grand Opening" of the Blood Altar to add a bit of variety to runecrafting! Regarding the question as to whether it is easier to get an achievement cape or a quest cape, just check out the number of people wearing the quest cape versus even the most common (cooking/fletching) skill cape.

Are you a "Old Timer" or a "RS2 product"?
These are the people I hate- this guy said he joined shortly before RS2 yet he remembers no banks, no banks was more like 2.5 years before rs2... idiot Wow! Do you get as wound up when you get a stone in your shoe? Seriously lighten up! Maybe his idea of "shortly" isn't the same as yours.. He also said he quit for 18months by which time RS2 had started. So assuming he played for a few as well that's nearly the 2.5years you mention anyway... So the sort of people you hate are the ones that don't define shortly the same as you? Or is it those who don't have a photographic memory for dates/times?

Are you a "Old Timer" or a "RS2 product"?
Definite RS2 product, joined October '05. Quite happy with that though, the only thing that I envy the RSC players is the community that existed then... I would never have had the foresight to keep a holiday drop and those are the only 2 advantages I can think of.

Cannons
Very effective if used in the right places (i.e. multi-attack). Yes it's probably worth the money if you have a lot! Cannonballs aren't cheap and you burn through them very quickly if you're in a decent location. Downside is that you don't get HP xp from the cannon.

Construction Question?
Not directly... You can take noted logs, get your butler to un-note them at the bank, then get him to make planks with the now un-noted logs.

Hunting lvl 63+ - where should I train?
Chinchompas are the fastest xp that I've found (red or normal about the same xp - you fail less often with normal). I've compared them to salamanders (including black) and falconry (spotted kebbits and dark kebbits). Max XP I've managed is around 50k per hour.

how in the world.
The answer is Pest Control. The player in question is there A LOT!

CONTROVERSY-WHAT"S NEXT?
I've said it before, but I'll say it again, what makes you think you have any idea on how fast skills (or anything else for that matter) are being developed? Simply because there's only 6 months between the release dates? Well by that logic each quest is only worked on for 2 weeks since that's the average time between new quests being released... For all you know Hunter could (and probably has) been in development for the last year or even 2. As for your original post it's pointless in the extreme, from time to time hints are given as to what longer term, future updates may be made but no commitments are made as to when these may happen. Accurate indications of what will be released are provided each month in the "behind the scenes" article... It is against this that you are entitled(should you wish to) to judge Jagex's ability to deliver, from memory they rarely miss these dates.

So I'm wondering.. When are YOU going to start hunting?
Quite simply no it's not. Sure it's easy to pick up the first 50-60 lvls but the same is true for most skills. As soon as the required xp for each level is significant it becomes about as tough a skill as mining, up to lvl 80 the max xp per hour is approx 40 -50k per hour using 4 traps. Above lvl 80 I would guess another 25% is possible using 5 traps, but that is still only 50-62.5k per hour. NB It may be possible to get higher xp training at black salamanders, but to-date I've not trained there as being the target for a bored pk'er didn't fill me with enthusiasm. Trust me, it would be quicker to tele to a bank and come back to your blue dragon spot. Imps only bank 2 items at a time, the release negotiation form is 5 chat screens and once you've got through this saga you're then left with an empty magic box in your inventory.

Max Hunter XP per hour?
I haven't tried the black salamanders, but I reckon it's probably about 50k per hour *if* you can set up all 4 and avoid being pk'd :D I'll probably give it a go tho and see how it pans out, just for the variety...
-
Max Hunter XP per hour?
I've levelled hunter to a reasonable level but wondering what the max xp per hour other people are getting at similar levels, and on what? I'm currently getting about 40k xp per hour on either Dashing Kebbits or Red Chinchompas, similarly I was getting about the same on Red Salamanders (before they got crowded!). Thoughts/experiences?

54 HUNTER, What Should I Hunt?
Chinchompas, set 3 traps for them, take a butterfly net and some jars with you and you can combo train too... voila.

Time to PK some Green Dragon Killers!
Did they quickly auto-fish and auto-cook too? :D Back on topic there was a post about this a while ago, from memory the poster was trying to find out what the trigger for attack was - e.g. was it colour based. If you can get the autoer to attack you and skull, bingo free blue skirt (g) for you.... they have a colour click system... so youll have to look like a green dragon ;s what type of green is that anyway... It's like the eyedropper tool, you'll never know which one you'll get. ( I think ). Just try different combinations of green colours, and maybe you'll get it? :) . Hmm, maybe green drag hide armour and ranger set (if you're feeling brave)..

Im 66 Hunter...what should I hunt?
Dashing Kebbits are reasonable xp and there's the additional bonus that fewer people can actually hunt them so less competition, level 69 required though. At 66 I swapped between red salamanders and red chinchompas. When using 4 traps on both they're basically the same xp per hour but since it's now quite rare to get 4 salamander traps to yourself the chinchompas are probably a better option now....

How Far Are U Going With Hunter?
At least 80, probably 90 and just maybe all the way up to 99... Enjoying it so far and the xp is pretty fast, lvl 66 at the end of day 2. My only slight gripe would be that the training spots are overcrowded, hoping that this will change once the hype dies down though.

Hunter Exp Table + tips from Venom0619 (#1 Hunter)
The xp listed for the red chinchomp is incorrect it's 265 per as opposed to 127. Edit: Other useful information - they're stackable :D Further Edit and Verdict: Pretty good, bit slower than red salamander but way less people there training so no competition. It's also possible to combo with Black Warlock Butterflies so all in all fairly good training spot.

Hunting Tips from top 1k hunter (updated)
No but you do lose it if you're unfortunate enough to get a random event that takes you away from the area (such as freaky forester, bob etc.) hugely annoying! :wall:

Hunter Exp Table + tips from Venom0619 (#1 Hunter)

Fastest way to craft nature runes
Surprised you haven't given up with the fortune telling Fresh, since you got burned by Hunter :P Although having said that on this particular point I am inclined to agree with you. I don't see Jagex introducing any method quicker than the abyss.
