Music taste in your family?
I listen to older rock, mostly on the soft side. I'm not really partial to the standard ACDC/Led Zeppelin that most people associate with classic rock. My mom listens to Oldies. My dad listens to a mix of stuff (a lot of movie soundtracks and adult contemporary). My one brother listens to underground punk, and my other brother listens to more popular mainstream punk and alt-rock (I think).

Manhunt 2 Banned in the UK and Ireland! USA barely lets in!
Apparently Sony and Nintendo (and Microsoft) don't allow AO titles to be published on their systems. So as it stands, it won't be released, unless they make it a PC gmae ( ), or they bring it down to M. They'll bring it down to M.

Possible Music, Movies & TV board reorganisation
What's the problem with having it as a normal forum? I really don't care either way, it shouldn't affect anyone. But why even bother?

Diablo II Character Classes
I recently started playing again...Sorc is definately the best for MF, so it's always a staple when restarting...But I like Barb and Zon...Barb has such a wide variety of skills he needs to have (all warcries, choice of weapon mastery, increased speed, toughness, resistance, whirlwind, berzerk). But zons are so versitile, basically the only character that can specialize in 2 things simultaneously (Bow for range, javs for AOE and melee). The highest I ever got was with a zon, 94, then got bored. But they are probably my favourite. All are awesome though. So diverse, each good in their own way.

Whens it come out? If they have time, Rockstar will probably try to get it down to M in the states. Or else they will sell about 10 copies, because you'll have to go to an adult book store to get it.

how long have you been gaming?
I probably played games before, but I started heavily gaming near the end of 1994/early 1995. And I mean, I pretty much was addicted from then on. So age 4-5ish, on Windows 3.1. Really got into Dark Forces and NHL 95.

Forgotten and Underrepresented Hits
Every once in a while I hear a song that I heard growing up. My mom listened to a radio station that was adult contemporary and yesterdays classics type of thing. And so, I'm hearing these songs now and wondering why I didn't find them amazing at the time, but I really like now. But a lot of these hits are forgotten amongst the likes of those other rock/pop classics that everybody seems to know (example. many songs by the Beatles). For a brief time, they were way up on the charts, but they've been relatively forgotten in time, or are no longer recognized by young people. So I'm making this thread so that people can post those old songs (60's, 70's, 80's, maybe even 90's if you must), that are generally not remembered, or maybe you have heard but never really knew who sung it or what it was called. I have a few examples. Of course, I can't post that many, because I've forgotten alot of them or their names >.<, which is exactly the point of this thread. Here's 3. Rhiannon: Fleetwood Mack : I pretty much dislike every Fleetwood Mack song but this one. This has a bizzare, creepy touch to it, and its really well written and played. I donno why, but I heard this in the car (even when I've probably heard it dozens of times), and one time I just couldn't get it out of my head. Sloop John B.: The Beach Boys : Apparently, according to wikipedia, this has been taken up by some soccer clubs in the UK as some kind of chant. Whatever, I just think its extremely calming and cool, but most people either look at the more obvious Beach Boy hits, or (in the case of many youths), ridicule those who listen to Beach Boys. The Cars - Drive : I was just walking along in the hall today, and this song just popped into my head. I couldn't even remember what it was called, but I remembered that the name of the band AND the title had something to do with vehicular travel. Anyways, I really like it, and I sorta connect with the meaning behind the lyrics (atleast, my interpretation of the lyrics). However, I've never, ever, heard someone mention this song. Foreigner: I Want to Know What Love is : Despite this probably being the most popular song by Foreigner, when was the last time you heard anything about Foreigner? All of these songs, atleast the last time I checked, have videos on youtube, and are definately worth checking out if you get the time. But they sorta have to be your style of music. This is all soft rock/adult contemporary type of stuff...Obviously not everyones thing. I have a whole bunch of others, including different genres, but this is the first few that came to mind. Please do the same!

Just how bad is an integrated graphics card anyway?
No offense, but this is a common uninformed stereotype. While integrated graphics cards do not outperform most daughter cards, this does not mean they are only for "basic PC use." On the contrary there are quite a few laptops that are designed for gamers in mind, and really can pack on the power, especially when you consider the fact that integration also means optimization, and removing entropy from the system. Many of these are designed for gamers who frequently move their computers (because they go to events and tournaments) and are very serious about the performance of their computers Well they do make actual graphics cards for laptops...I doubt you're going to see a lot of integrated graphics (or even laptops) at serious gaming tournaments. Integrated just doesn't mean performance -it's bad for any serious gaming, period. Dude, go with the first one. Sure WoW eats RAM, but this report shows that most slowdown stops after you have 1gb of RAM, unless you have Vista (which you said you weren't getting anyway). And it also shows that, despite it not being a super high range games, it benefits alot from the graphics.

What movie(s) did you last see?
Finally watched Letters from Iwo Jima. I enjoyed it, I felt like it was quite a good movie, but I watched it at the wrong time...After being stressed all week (therefore getting far less sleep than normal), then having 6 hours of school and 6 hours of work yesterday, I started watching at 12:15 in the morning. So needless to say, it didn't matter what movie it was, I would have been dosing. Luckily I didn't fully fall asleep. But this was the only time I could watch it; I'll take a few hours where I can get em to watch a movie, seeing as how I work into the morning tonight, and it has to go back on Sunday morning. And I can't watch during the day because there's too many people moving in my tiny house. But despite being sooo tired, I kinda enjoyed it. I would like to watch it again when I could pay attention more.

Family Guy Vs The Simpsons Vs South Park
7 or 8 years ago, I would have said The Simpsons was the best show ever. And the old episode are (roughly seasons 3-6 being the best, 7-9 being quite good). Family guy is always somewhat funny. But lately I've been liking South Park more and more...I watched the like first season eps, they're ok, but really, these past few seasons are quite impressive. So I couldn't tell you which is the best, but since I choose to deny the existence of the Simpsons past few seasons, Ill go with that.

The Undisputed King Predator (animal kingdom)
I would say, probably, some dangerous form of ant. I watched this special on discovery about species that used to exist, and there were these ants that were like an inch long each, and would just sweep through a forrest killing everything. Seriously, how are you supposed to kill thousands and thousands of ants? It's way easier to just shoot a spear gun at a shark...You would need some kind of super poison, and some way of administering it to them without hurting yourself...So in a one on one showdown (you know what I mean), I would most fear thousands of ants.

Films with huge twists
Too bad the numerous pop culture references had that engraved in my mind long before I even thought about watching the old movie.

Fallout 3 trailer!
I was actually pleasantly surprised with this. After waiting so long for the GTA4 trailer (Being a huge GTA fan), I was disappointed. But, as a casual Fallout fan, I was absolutely thrilled. I always figured when playing the games that there was a good game in their somewhere, hiding behind the cumbersome controls and bad graphics. I liked the story, the atmosphere, the role-playing, the open-endedness and choice, but I couldn't get over how much cumbersome the combat was...Fallout 2 improved that, and everything else a HUGE amount, but still, I felt there was room for improvement. So I hope a modern iteration will do it justice...And it seems like Bethesda is being remarkably faithful to the feel of the Fallout franchise, so I am quite looking forward to this. I just want to see some gameplay now :). P.S. Just go to gamespot >.<.

Your Fav Band growing up...
When I was young in the early 90's, I grew up on Oasis. Then towards the later 90's, it was Green Day and Prozzak :).

What movie(s) did you last see?
Pirate 2 was bad, 3 doesn't look any better. Anyways, I watched Half Nelson. It was just something to do as I see it. I don't regret seeing it, but it won't leave an impact and I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to see it. A strong performance by Gosling, who I enjoyed seeing in Stay. Still can't wait to see Letters from Iwo Jima. :XD:

Games you have Completed
Everything but Alien vs. Predator (too scary), Chrono Trigger (I got to half way then school started and I didn't have time) and all the games I've bought and haven't played yet. I feel if I buy a game, I should atleast do it the honour of completing it.

With the ps3 out will any games be made on ps2?
Square has already said that the new FF is going to go multi platform. They haven't said which yet but you can almost bet its going to be the 360. Can I get a source. All I've heard, and managed to dig up it that it's exclusivity is "in question". I've seen nothing official saying it's to be multiplatform.

What movie(s) did you last see?
Watched Children of Men. I thought it was pretty good, directed in a very interesting way. Lots like Half-Life 2 ( ), [and yes, I'm aware Half-Life 2 is a rip off of a rip off of a rip off and so forth]. Overall impressive. Which one was the shot that was like 15 minutes long? I thought I saw it, but the blood mysteriously washed off the screen.

whats better, naruto or bleach?
Those are my 2 favorite animes, but I've seen much more Naruto than Bleach. Mostly because I think it is much better. In all honesty, it's one of the best shows I've seen on TV, anime or not. Still being completely honest, as of right now it's better than every show on TV, IMO.
