10 Products you didn't know were made by Coke or Pepsi
Most restaurants are sponsored by one or the other. McDonald's, for example, is sponsored by Coke. Pizza Hut: Pepsi (Pepsi aparantly used to own Pizza Hut, now they just sponsor them). That's why you can only get Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Barqs, Frutopia, Nestea...And orange stuff, which doesn't have a make it just says orange and I believe coke makes it. In about grade 8 we had to do a project researching one company. Mine was PepsiCo. I believe there was at the time a division called QTG (Quaker, Tropicana, Gatorade). So Oatmeal and granola bars are also made by them, go figure.

American Idol
i agree with you on everything but it being useless. look at kelly clarkson, shes on her way to be a multi millionare (then again, look at rueben studdard, on his way to flipping hamburgers :ohnoes: ) More like, on his way to eating burgers. Ehhhh, that was low, even for me. Anyways, I like watching the initial rounds. Reasons:That homosexual guy who failed terribly on So You Think You Can Dance? (which I had the pleasure of viewing last night, and I assume there was a reason that particular episode was on.), followed by him cussing up the place and repeating it on American Idol. The red-haired guy that sang(attempted) Bohemian Rhapsody. The 2 friends that met in line and were hilarious. The man-talking woman. It's wierd that they all think they're good, and they deserve to be laughed at.

The Mind of Mencia one where he's teaching them about Bud Light. That was my favorite.

Todays game consoles and what you think about them
My thoughts: PS3: Despite a few hiccups, this is the most promising IMO. The games coming for it in the coming months and through to the end of 2007 are definately going to put it on the map library-wise. Good online (not quite as good as Live but still very solid), a lot of power and lots of features...Very good, takes way more flak than it deserves. Xbox 360: A very very solid system, good games, good online...But too few exclusives and really, there's absolutely no reason I would buy one. As a PC gamer, there's literally a hundred reasons why I shouldn't buy one, and 2-3 why I should. All the best 360 games are either on PC right away, or will be. (Halo 3, GoW, Oblivion, GRAW, F.E.A.R., Rainbow 6: Vegas...All either already on PC or will be). If I didn't have a good PC, and I didn't have the money for one, I would probably get a 360. But as it stands, I'd rather have a PS3. Wii:Ehhhh, it seems more like people prefer rooting for the underdog. That's why Wii get's so much hailing and the generic but superior PS3 essentially gets flamed everywhere, all the time. Wii is fun to play...At someone elses house. Other than Zelda, there's really very little right now in the way of games I'd play at home by myself (which is how I'm gaming 95% of the time). It's all Wii Sports, Wario, Smash Bros Brawler to come...Party games. Some of us just like to sit at home and play games by ourselves, and I think all the hype around Wii has forgot about that. :uhh: PC: Without a doubt the top platform. A back catalogue that puts the three systems combined to shame, more features, better controls, better graphics, better sound, higher resolutions, free-online play that's been perfected over the past decade+, mods, the Games for Windows initiative, and, without a doubt, the system with the most promising games coming in 2007. Period.

Aqua Teen Hunger Force Bomb Threat
When I heard about this yesterday, I was laughing. When I heard today about how much of a stink it caused, and how no one at Cartoon Network is taking it seriously, and how they are royally sticking it to the man, it became like my favorite thing of the month. That shows ratings are going to skyrocket.

Epic Movie
You can't make fun of Snakes on a Plane, it's making fun of itself. And they somehow managed to make it less funny. Go figure.

Splinter Cell Series
Pretty much agreed. I tried the first two and didn't get very far in them. They were pretty boring and it seemed like you had to do some things *just right* to get to the next part. Yep, but when you execute them in just the right order and at just the right times, it's a site to behold. They are high quality games, solid 85%'s. I agree, them being too difficult to execute kind of takes away some fun, but it also means once you are used to your limitations (like, say, in the end levels), it becomes exciting, fast-thinking fun, because it's just no fun to get caught. And also, with the more recent iterations, it's less linear and the missions aren't failed as easily. I have played SC and Pandora Tommorow, and I have Chaos Theory but haven't played it. I'll get DA when it's $19.99.

All Killer, No Filler
I disagree. There's one song on almost all their records that are filler, often several (*cough*The Wall*cough*). Examples: Seamus On The Run (probably would have been cooler at the time, I dunno). Bring the Boys Back Home and others... WYWH and Animals don't really, though Welcome to the Machine isn't that killer. I would say...All Killer no Filler...Oasis: What's the Story Morning Glory. Haven't heard it in years, but I can't remember any song on their that I wasn't addicted to for a time.

NES on Ebay with every game ever made (670 games!)
Man...I wouldn't ever play most of those games, but just getting them all in one lump would be a dream...I wish I was mega rich.

It's not really that bad, but IMO you can get better results with the money used toward protein powder.

How do you listen to your songs?
It's been a while since I had time to listen to music. But hwne I did, I had this thing, I think it was Creative Jukebox or something...Some kind of jukebox. I tried Winamp but gave up after I couldn't figure out how to play straight off CD's, and WMP has a really bad problem of not being loud enough. But I always use headphones, as they are better quality than my speakers, and I can feel more engulfed when wearing them.

How to get a balance in life?
Never procrastinate. I know, easier said than done, but that's what keeps me from achieving my goals. Also, I disagree that you should just stop gaming if someone calls. If someone phones you and you don't want to do whatever they want to do, why the deuce should you give up having fun to go somewhere and have less fun?

The Gvs.G debate (Graphics vs. Gameplay)
1 second please say you were being sarcastic that only applies for gta 3 the others are graphic dominated I just finished playing about an hours worth of GTA SA, and i would have to say that those graphics are pretty crappy, but the game play is extremely sweet, which is what makes me play. gta sa is a rubbish game in my opinion and i think majority of people play for the graphics Graphics? GTA games have horrible graphics compared to other games. In those games it's nothing but gameplay. Vice City and San Andreas have amazing storylines. Graphics is a whole different story. I see you dont live near people who think that graphics rule a game etc? I see you don't live near people who have seen a next-gen console or high-end PC? GTA games have average at best graphics.

Game with the Best Ending?
Holy cow, someone else actually played that game besides me!? Lol, good topic by the way. I would have to say hands downMafia for PC. Anyone ever play it? I'm not going to go into specifics or spoilers but it just blew me away. You see the game has this unforgettable original theme music, that you only hear in the title menu for like 5 seconds every time you load the game up. And you are kind of unconsciously waiting to hear the music in the game. It unexpectedly happens at the climax of the 8 minute ending scene. And the speech heard in the end? Oscar worthy. Simply unforgettable. *EDIT* Wow, I wasn't alone in my train of thought. Someone actually recorded it and GameSpot shows it: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/mafia ... Tfx5bMLvDM Recommended watch to anyone who has 5-10 minites and never plans on playing the game. I played Mafia (and Grim Fandango for that matter). Both are games that a lot of PC gamers have played (Grim Fandango has a pretty big cult following). Both those games...Amazing endings, but their games were so frustrating (still really, really good games, just frustrating). Grim Fandango was one of the first adventure games I'd ever played, and along with it having a lot of bugs in XP, it also was really, really hard for me, the solutions to the puzzles were too quirky, I had to keep checking online. And Mafia was a really, really strong cinematic game, but there was WAY TO MUCH DRIVING. And that wouldn't be a problem, but the cops chase you for doing practically ANYTHING, and the 'high-speed chases' are so slow and dull that it really, really grates on your nerves after spending 10+ or your 20 hour game in the car. Really strong games though. I was very impressed with the ending of Mafia when I played it, and I thought exactly how you thought. I can't believe I forgot it :|.

Music. Because of the Lyrics, or the Instruments?
Although great lyrics are really, nice (and what separate good bands from outstanding bands), it really is more about the overall sound. However, singing is a really big part of the overall sound. Take for example, Elton John. Most of the time, the lyrics in his songs are good, but even when there isn't much too them, the words are written for his voice. Often in music, the way the words and voice sound, are more important than what they are saying. His voice becomes almost more like another instrument. For a contrasting example, take Guns 'n' Roses or ACDC. They could be singing the greatest words in the world, and have the best instrumental music (both do, actually have really good music), but the voices sound so bad that I really can't enjoy their music. But like I said, lyric meaning is a bonus, and combined with everything else, make for the best music.

Call of Duty, Medal of Honor or Brothers in Arms?
Surprisingly, I've only played Call of Duty 1+Expansion. I currently have BiA: Road to Hill 30, and plan to play it in the next few weeks. I also want to get the MoH compilation sometime this summer. And perhaps COD2 aswell.

Game with the Best Ending?
Cliffhanger endings would be fine...But Valve uses them every time. It's starting to seem like they don't actually know how to right a full story. I mean, for every answer they give us, they introduce 5 more questions. At this rate (and at the rate these episodes seem to keep doubling their estimated 6 months), it's going to take 10 years before we find out such questions as: Who's the Gman? Why is Gordon Freeman so good with a gun? What's the in the Gman's suitcase? etc. etc. IMO, best ending, PS:T. Game makers seem to have an insatiable urge to make the hero defeat the final boss and live happily ever after. Or if there's a sequel coming, they leave it open for that. One good example of leaving it open for a sequel, though, was System Shock 2...One of the best game's ever. Too bad we'll never get a sequel.

The Gvs.G debate (Graphics vs. Gameplay)
It really can't be generalized into just Gameplay, graphics, controls etc. Example, there's a far better story in say, Planescape: Torment, than there is in say, Return to Castle Wolfenstein. But the actual gameplay of RTCW is far more action packed and fun than that of PS:T. But I still like PS:T better. See what I'm getting at? You can't compare these things across genres. In an RPG game I would see story as more important than say, sound. But in a dark survival horror game (say, F.E.A.R. or something like that), story may not be as important when things like sound (and the other 3) are at their prime (that's not to say F.E.A.R. has a bad story, I've only played part of it). Controls in an RPG or adventure game (point-and-click-anyone)? Hardly important at all. Controls in a face paced game like UT or Quake 3? Extremely important.

Black Wii sequel - Blue Xbox! glows in dark...
That looks more like a 360 with an adapter to connect to a laptop. My friend made an adapter for his PS2 controller and made his own DDR software so he could play at school -.- No, that's a fully modded Xbox http://benheck.com/Games/Xbox360/x360_page_1.htm

Up to date pc specs, on a budget??
Is the Antec Sonata roomy on the inside? It's a mini tower isn't it? I ask cuz I'm pondering it, but I will have some big stuff in there, and want to make sure it will fit.

Games which you love, but could never win.
Alien vs. Predator: Much too scary, but an incredibly well-designed game. There's no real other horror-action game that had as much effect on me. Humans: I actually have beat this. It's a puzzle game (exceptional music, and adequate (but easy) puzzle design make it my favourite puzzle game ever), and since I had a special edition there were like 160 levels. However, at about level 120, the level was broken. It took over a decade (I'm not even joking...we got it in 1994 and I beat it in holiday 2005), with many reinstalls all trying to beat that level. And I did all I thought I needed to do but it wouldn't end, so I guess it was broken (I cud beat every other of the 159 levels just fine, but not that one). So I just found the level code online (almost impossible to find) and continued. Dark Forces: I've beat this more than any game ever, but never without using codes. I figure though, I'm not missing that much. And it would be simple if the controls were mouse+keyboard, but since it's keyboard only, it's clunky. So invincible more is nice :). Super Mario Bros 3: IMO, the very best of the Mario games, but I've never actually beaten it. I've pretty much only played the first world, but I can do them extremely well (almost just like the guy who beats it in 11 minutes). The level design is so neat, it really is just fun to play those levels.

Top 5 favorite and least favorite games?
You'll struggle, since it's a real pain to get it running on XP. It is a really excellent game and I'm almost afraid to play it again in case it doesn't live up to my memories. I for one found SS2 to only be moderately creepy. There was just too much taking away from the experience...such as if you die you can just reload a bit back. It was atmospheric but I never really was affected by it...And the graphics, (even though I hate to base games on graphics) for their time were horrendous, and look really bad today. Overall it's a game worth playing, but I just think it isn't as scary as people would have you believe. And as for getting it to work on XP. Go to TTLG forums and they will tell you what to do their. Once you figure out why it isn't working (which only takes one boot up attempt) it only takes a few hours to get running nicely. link: http://ttlg.com

What movie(s) did you last see?
Saw it last night too. I agree with the recommended and the nob brainer, maybe not highly. But if you have the chance, you might as well try it. It makes...zero sence, which actually makes it more fun. It's exciting and hilarious and while I will entirely forget having seen it in a year, it was fun while it lasted (87 minutes).

Top 5 favorite and least favorite games?
We have one of these posts like every week. Why don't once, we just do one major one as a sticky, and have like "Your top 50 games and why". I'll reluctantly post my top 5: 5. Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne 4. Dark Forces 3. Planescape: Torment 2. Unreal Tournament 1. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas But I refuse to say my "least favorite games". Simply put, I love games, and I don't play games that I know aren't good. I don't think I've ever played a game that rated lower than a 70% on most game sites, and only occassionally do I play ones lower than 80%. Even the games that I liked least I can still respect as being worth playing, atleast for a time.
