    Perfection

The idea of a circle however is perfect.
  2. Well it's okay, i guess. The recording quality sucks bad, so i can't really tell if it's actually good. The skill is definitely there. Skill isn't everything in music though and the nuances are stifled by the static. That's why it is hard to tell anything more but trivial observations. So where do you want to go from here? Write stuff, join or found a band, or just keep playing as you do now for your and our entertainment? Hope that doesn't sound like i wanted to take the wind out of your sails. In fact i'm a bit envious of your skills.
  3. It's called Cuba libre! Look, I don't drink either and not even I would say that, even though I've watched people very close to me literally drink themselves to death. Drinking with the sole purpose of getting absolutely wasted and so you don't remember anything and you can let yourself go and be happy - that's idiotic in my opinion. Alcohol itself isn't. Let's rephrase that: "There are a lot of idiots drinking alcohol."
  4. Artistic?! Well i got 80%. I'm Austrian. It basically was a jigsaw puzzle. 76 miles error. I didn't place anything even remotely correct that didn't lie on a border. 574s
  5. Nobody was harmed. Insurance will pay. That's an okay crime to me, as long as they didn't scare the clerk too much they only hurt the insurance company. I'm completely fine with that.
  6. I HATE beer with a passion. So that's wine for me - preferebly red wine. EDIT: I really love cocktails though. Especially those that use freshly squeezed fruit juice. Creamy and sweet. Tastes divine (i don't usually throw around words like "divine" and i certainly don't have a very "aquired taste".)
  7. Ever heard of the food chain? It's not something that we humans invented. It's a vital part of nature. Ever heard of pecking order? It's not something that we humans invented. It's a vital part of nature. Yes. Food chain = pecking order. What is your point? Food chain =/= pecking order. Pecking order just says that the stronger will take advantage of his strength, to ensure he gets as much as possible and keep the strongest. Pecking order is established between members of the same species, between siblings and such. Point is that we neither need meat (as was somehow suggested by your food chain comment), nor do we need slavery (as i was basically referring to with my comment). What was your point again with the food chain comment?
  8. The original ten commandments were a nice idea, so i made up my own: 1. Thou shalt 2. Thou shalt act and speak spontaneously and without second thought! 3. Thou shalt spend time alone - reflecting and meditating! 4. Thou shalt develope humour! 5. Thou shalt respect others and yourself! 6. Thou shalt trust and listen to your (gut) feeling! 7. Thou shalt avoid TV! 8. Thou shalt challenge yourself and others! 9. 10. Well.. i tried... Anyway.. design your own commandments!

  10. You may, or may not know the D&D allignment system. It has two axis to describe a characters attitude (good-evil; lawful-chaotic). It's of course simplified, nevertheless i think it's kinda fun. So what ideals do you like best? lawful: You value law&order and the stability it brings. You abide to the law and want all people to do so. chaotic: You don't care about laws. You do what you want whenever you want to. Laws only hinder that urge. neutral: Laws are merely a means to an end. You won't judge people soley on their law abidance. good: You care about others. You want them to get along and be treated well. evil: You don't care about others. You only care about your advantage and pleasure. neutral: You are in it for yourself. You wouldn't exactly harm others for your advantage, but you wouldn't stop to make sure everybody got a piece of the pie. I always loved chaotic-good, recently i have an eye on chaotic-neutral though.
  11. What's more important? Getting along or the law?
  12. uh.. the logic is a bit flawed: By that reasoning it's completely fine to take advantage of say native tribes, because we are the dominant culture. "As long as we are beinifiting I don't really see a problem. Its not something you can say is right or wrong, it just sort of is." =P Slavery of black people is also fine according to your reasoning, because we are the dominant race and we can also treat women as we please, because we are the dominant gender. It just sort of is.... It's not flawed, you're reasoning is incorrect. He said dominate species, and native tribes, or black people during the slavery period are all the same species as us. Race or gender has nothing to do with it. Took the words out of my mouth. Likewise. +3 [/hide] o.0 Drawing the line at members of the same species looks a bit arbitrary to me. (In fact completely arbitrary.) Yeah why do we have "species" and "taxonomy" and "science" anyway? It's all crazy and arbitrary! I don't know how to put it.. Because we are the dominant species we can do what we want to other species. That doesn't apply to the dominant culture, race or gender though. Why not? I could go ahead and say because we belong to the dominant culture we may do as we see fit to any other culture. In fact we can do as we see fit. We may choose it is fit to treat other cultures as equal of course and grant them equal rights. Slavery of blacks for example was abolished by whites, if i'm not wrong. So the dominant culture of the dominant species chooses to grant other cultures the same rights, but not other species. That is completely arbitrary. It just seems to be easier to feel sympathy for members of the same species then for members of other species. You can't tell that we need animals for food or whatever, because we don't. It's just convenient to eat them. We didn't need slaves either. It just was convenient. All that has nothing to do with my opinion on meat, animals, slaves or whatever.
  13. Lol, sounds wonderful. Well Imo, you get tired of that stuff in life after 50 years or so, and to live doing that for eternity is a repetitive lifestyle that will get boring quickly and soon turn your "heaven" to "hell" after a few 1000 years. But you will have the highest sex lvl in all of Mandango. Read: There is no jealousy or boredom. IE your mind is wiped after each day of what happened yesterday. Or something. Uhm.. i'd go with the "or something"

  15. Are you Indian? Guess i'm the most liberal person on this thread. I believe in all possible gods.
  16. Common guys! You can believe whatever you want to. You can create your own gods - a whole pantheon if you want to and the only god you come up with is the flying spagetthi monster? I'll resist the urge to use words such as "boring" or "unimaginative". Oups..
  17. btw it's true that animals are property by law. Nevertheless there are laws against animal cruelity (at least in my country). So basically animals are a subcategory of property, like real estate. There are different laws for real estate then there are for idk CDs and a personal computer. For example: You aren't allowed to set your real estates on fire for some reasons, you aren't allowed to set an animal on fire for other reasons, but you are allowed to set a CD on fire (or coal for that matter). uh.. the logic is a bit flawed: By that reasoning it's completely fine to take advantage of say native tribes, because we are the dominant culture. 18. What are the core values of the Star Wars religion? :-k Me to Well.. trust your feelings; the force is all around us; control your fear and so on.. No seriously. My spirituality (and i'm deeply spiritual) is mostly coined by pop culture with christian and hindu influences. Everything i hear, read, see and feel is incorportated into this building and mostly i hear, read and see pop culture. Song lyrics and lines from movies are my bibel. Watching movies is my service and music is my prayer. EDIT: Well.. what are my believes? That's actually a good question. I believe that you got whatever you want. No matter how good or bad your life is, it's exactly the life you want at the given time. Theoretically you can change it at any time, by just wanting something else. It's a very beautiful idea imo. You can walk around and see people doing exactly what they want. Also you don't have to worry too much about violence, diseases and such, because people just got what they want anyway. It would of course be nice to ask people (and above all yourself) what they want and try to remind them about the dreams they once had/have. According to my believes they not only can, but will achieve them, if only they want to. You kinda just need to let it happen. My believes also make it impossible to blame anyone about anything in your life. You can only blame yourself. You just have to make sure that you also forgive yourself and don't start to be cruel to yourself. After all you can have whatever you want, whenever you want to. So there really is no point in self punishment. I guess that is the core believe. There are some mundane and metaphysical implications of course and other stuff, but i'll leave it here.
  19. Unless you live there this isn't exactly schocking news. Jesus Christ!
  20. True. You can live perfectly healthy without eating meat. It would take some effort though. It didn't work out for me to be vegetarian. At some point i developed an intense yearning for meat. When i ate some meat loaves then, it felt soo good. On testing drugs on animals: I do believe that developing all that drugs is the wrong direction medicine takes. From that point of view experimentation on animals is of course wrong to. Yet at present people don't seem to know any better. At least they don't hurt animals out of sadism. Still if i met a person telling me they are conducting animal experiments it would lessen my opinion on them. Also if i got the chance to free laboratory animals, i'd do so and i'd feel good about it. The argument that i might have killed people, who are in need of medication wouldn't have any impact on me at all.
  21. I really wish you'd give some examples of people, instead of just naming a profession. You don't even have to know their names. Just say: "This guy does this and that, since then, blah, blah..."
  22. Die ÃÆÃââââ¬Ã¾rzte NOFX Lagwagon No use for a name The Offspring
  23. Huxley. "Brave new world" and "The island". The awsomeness! Well at least i'd pick those. The meaning of these books is also pretty obvious and the books aren't too long. However there isn't too much stuff on the web about the island, you could choose another book by him. Whatever you do, don't pick Camus! He makes you wish to kill yourself. Also why would you want to choose a non english writer? You can rule out Kafka if you want a writer that is easy to follow. My second pick would be Dumas' "Count of Monte Cristo" and "The three Musketeers". He isn't exactly modern though.
  24. That's the first time i read about the coming election in the US. From the information given here i guess if the lady or the black guy win the democrat election, you'll have a republican again. Somehow i doubt a woman or a black man would be elected. I don't think it's time yet for that.
