formula for calculating slayer xp?
Slayer xp will be about 1/4th the xp you get in whatever combat stat you're training.

Spec Weapon against Nomad
First run with a BGS, I hit a 57 first spec, and from there it was relatively easy. Killed him with 10 brews and 4.5 restores left. Now I just have to resell the BGS to get my money back.

Spec Weapon against Nomad
Well, I tried a run with Darklight, and managed to get him down to a tiny sliver before I ran out of brews and subsequently died. I just bought a BGS (I really didn't want to, but I guess that I can resell it and possibly even profit), so if I manage a good spec with that right at the beginning, the fight should be almost cake (not quite cake, as it's not a simple fight, but it shouldn't be bad if I get a good spec right off the bat)

Spec Weapon against Nomad
Okay, I have a typical story. I've died in three attempts against Nomad, but at this point, I know how to handle his attacks and it's mostly an issue of doing enough damage before he runs me into the ground. I feel really confident that I can beat him, I just need everything to fall the right way. My biggest question is this: What should I use as a spec weapon? I currently have SGS, DDS, and Darklight for spec weapons (is Darklight even worth using for the spec? I'd think the drop in defence would be worth it), and SGS restored some health and DDS did a small amount of damage, but nothing too significant. I doubt I'll have too many more questions -- changing around my inventory and equipment a bit should help, but I think I know what to do there. I just don't really know what to use as a spec weapon.

Jagex's World to Server Ratio
I can't find a dorm in the University of Michigan that gives me less than a 73 ping to any world using an ethernet connection. I have no idea how you get pings of 10-20, nor do I have a clue why mine is never lower. I still never notice bad lag unless I'm in a really crowded area like the GE on a full world -- so whatever they have, in my opinion, seems to be working just fine.

Aviansies and adamant bars
I've heard a lot of people say that it's 1:1, but I've also seen it reported as 1.1:1 kills:bars, so your rate isn't bad at all.

Nechryael, any tips on maging them?
This is a guess on my part, but I would think that Ahrim's with items that focus on prayer bonus in other slots. Probably Soul Wars Cape, fury, unholy book, staff with 10% bonus that isn't Ancient Staff, Ahrim's, and not sure what else. Probably need EE or bunyip for healing the damage you'd take from death spawns. That's what I can think of off the top of my head.

Spiritual Mages
The Robe Bottoms would do best, and use a fury and rune defender instead of stole or book. And Soul Wars Cape is hands down the best, with fire cape probably being slightly better than a stole if you have a Zamorak item in a different slot.

Do you sell your items before school starts?
No, I play both when school is going and when it is not (though I do play noticeably more over breaks, due to more spare time and the fact that my girlfriend lives in Atlanta and I live near Detroit), and selling items when in school is kind of pointless -- if I did, I'd have to buy them all back again, which is just a waste of time.

Kent's guide to Summoning mastery! Bork
Guessing by the crimson count and rate, about 210 hours of killing cockroaches. As for the Ork Legions, I agree that they're good to kill, I just usually don't bother as I am lazy and don't like spending more time on Bork than is necessary. I know I should kill them, but I just don't. EDIT: I've changed my laziness and always kill the Ork Legions now. The charms they drop aren't much, but it does start to add up over time. Definitely kill them. It barely takes any more time than you already spend at Bork.

Your Lowest Level?
70 Construction. I just hate throwing money into something without getting anything in return (I know getting it to 75 has a reward, even though I can build a gilded altar with a lower level, but it doesn't give much by way of reward other than that).

Tip.it Times 24 January 2010
I have to agree with that. Sometimes I wonder why I don't have my stats as high as I want and then I realize that I've taken breaks, there have been times that I've said other things are more important than this game (they are, trust me), and I always come to the same conclusion as that in the article. It's all about choosing what to do.

Your Highest Level?
95 hitpoints. I do a large amount of combat. It's my highest stat and I have never specifically trained it.

Chins at nechs
http://forum.tip.it/topic/247101-190kh-range-xp-with-profit-chinning-nechryaels/ It's less xp than monkey skeletons by a rather large amount, but there is the possibility of profit and the fact that it's decent crimson charms. Use void. Not sure about the familiar.

Soul Wars cape vs Fire Cape
soul wars cape of course since it has the highest prayer bonus. My thought was soul wars for piety and fire cape for superhuman strength since the drain rate is pretty low and I don't go through prayer potions that quickly. Or should I just not bother with the small strength bonus it gives?

Mother Gaia: An In-Depth Manual to Farming
Idea that my (admittedly not overly rigorous) testing has supported: You shouldn't always plant the same herb in all 5 seed patches, but sometimes plant something different in My Arm's patch. It seems that each patch that lives produces 7 herbs on average, and the ~0.5 average difference between that and a normal herb patch means that a different herb might be more profitable. According to Troacctid's spreadsheet, right now it is best to plant Avantoe, assuming a 6.5 herb average. However, if the average was to be 7, then snapdragon would be the most profitable. Since My Arm's patch guarantees that a plant will live, it ups the average to 7, making snapdragon more profitable. Has anyone else tested this more rigorously?

Soul Wars cape vs Fire Cape
Okay, what about the case of slayer, where I use prayer pots and superhuman strength/piety depending on the monster. In that case, which should I use?

Soul Wars cape vs Fire Cape
I haven't done Nomad's Requiem yet, but I should be able to handle it (that and I enjoy combat that isn't just click and wait (the reason I loved Summer's End)), so I was wondering for after I complete that quest -- which would be the better cape? Soul Wars or Fire Cape? Does anyone with experience with the Soul Wars cape know when is best to use each? Will I end up just retiring my fire cape once I kill Nomad?

No post since late December?
I haven't posted here since December? Well, I think that I need to fix that. For the first of two updates that no one but me will care about: my break is long since over and I'm back in school, with all the hassles and stresses that come with it. Mondays come from hell (classes from 9-5 with a total of 90 minutes of break, which isn't much considering the walk between some buildings on campus), other days aren't as bad (3 days a week I end at 1 or 2, and the other day I end at 4), so it's not horrendous, but 17 credits isn't the easiest thing. I'm actually typing this while sitting in a lecture (but don't tell them that). As for RuneScape, I haven't been doing all that much. I don't have huge amounts of time to play most days, so my playing is often limited to herb runs, dailies like battlestaves, broad bolts, Bork, getting my favour up, some merchanting, and fishing for cavefish with whatever time I have left. That might sound like a lot, but herb runs and dailies take up around an hour and I'm often multitasking while I do. Still, it's amazing. I've noticed that I'm making a ton of money even with only these small investments of time -- 1 million a day would be a good guess, quite possibly more. Enough of my rambling -- I'll stop wasting your time now. Maybe I'll have something more interesting to say here in the near future.

Spirit Terrorbird Pouches
The Devil's Advocate in me says that you might not use as many as you'd think -- there are a fair number of situations in which you don't need to restore energy that much (thanks to the run update in June) and the 12 slots sometimes just isn't enough for what you need to do. Yes, it is cheaper than war tortoises by a mile, but for a lot of things, the added inventory space is worth the cost. It might just be my decent agility level (77), but I haven't seen a need to use a terrorbird in the last couple months -- for me, it's either unnecessary or there's something out there that does the job better.

Question about barrows
Just to be nitpicky, it's actually 6 minutes. Just go to Keldagrim, visit the stonemason (I believe, not 100% sure which NPC it is) and buy the highest level one he has. It'll seem like a lot of money, but it's worth it if you ever die with anything expensive on you.

Jagex Calling Police
I have to agree with your point of view here. I remember once, an 8 year old kid in the Detroit area called 911 (the phone number for emergencies, in case anyone outside of the US doesn't know) saying that something was wrong with his mother. It sounded to the operator like it was a prank call, so she didn't trace the call or do anything else about it. It turned out to be a serious call and the mother died of a heart attack. It's exactly like you say there -- some people are serious about it, and there's too much on the line to dismiss it. Sure, it's the cultural norm to joke about that, but if there is even the trace possibility that someone might, then to not even try to help them is idiotic. And you're not wasting police time -- the job of the police is to protect citizens, and not just against crime, sometimes it's against themselves. I know what I've said here will probably be ignored and there will be people who think "He was just joking -- they're wasting the police's time" and I'm unlikely to change their minds. But to me, it's obvious that they're doing the right thing.

Question about barrows
Agreed, just don't expect too much efficiency. You'll probably get small profits without considering barrows items and it won't be the great moneymaker that it can be with really high levels, but you should have no problem with it. Just make sure to read up on it as much as possible and have a good enough gravestone to get there on time should you die -- little mistakes you make while learning to barrow can be costly.

Ultimate iron power mining
Yes, but it's also a hassle to have to go and recharge all the time. And if you're banking iron, you'll easily cover that 4m. If you can afford large amounts of glories, than all you have to do to recharge them is sell uncharged and buy charged on the GE -- it might take a little time, but you can speed it up if you're willing to take a small loss on each amulet. This wouldn't technically be powermining, as you're banking all the iron, and powermining is dropping all the ores that you mine. I used this method with Ardougne teleports from about 78 to 85 a few years ago and it worked pretty well -- it's just very repetitive. I think, however, that Kyatt mining would be better and, once you get to higher levels (80+), concentrated gold is far better, so this method is less useful than it was in the past (people with less than 57 summoning and less than 80 mining). I feel like I have more to say, but I can't remember what it was.
