  1. Nope, live in the Midwest of the US, I get plenty of rain. Something about an overcast and stormy weather just puts a smile on my face :) . Maybe the dubbed version hasn't really portrayed this as well as the rest of the series (currently at 136 episodes I believe if you watch subbed), but the Soul Society kind of sucks. It's basically a terrible, quickly formed government based on Soul Reapers/Shinigami having the power (limited power, mind you. Few are actually any good at maintaining order in the spiritual world, or at least only a handful actually have the power for that) and everyone else living in ghettos and slums. Soul Reapers live mindless lives exorcising people&hollows and running around doing nothing, while the rest of the spirits just suffer. Basically, if you read into the story (or at least somewhat between the lines) you can see that the "Soul Society" is either completely illogical (it is at least somewhat, with people being born there after all), or a pathetic example of a possible afterlife. Seriously, the guy who rules the place is only like a thousand years old, and he made the Soul Society and the method of forming zanpaku-to's (which shows that it was formed long after the human race came into being, that, or there are some wrong time references in the manga/anime). If the Soul Society is the pinnacle of life in the afterlife, let's hope it isn't real :uhh: . [/100th anime tangent this week] Also, how the heck can you fuse that with Harry Potter o_O?
  2. Theoretically the price shouldn't rise, since all those santas were just sitting in the bank and out of circulation. Correct, but it would probably rise due to the reaction of the population to the banning :-k .

Not as much as if you had to wait four months between updates, merely to look at it for less than half an hour. Actually, if we were to go to your limit of 100, it'd be over five months. Can you honestly tell me you'd "stay in touch" with your method :P ? This method is definitely the best for keeping readers, well, reading :) . It may be short, but it's still something I can't wait to read in the morning (or whenever I first can during the day), and with one a day I have more time to think about the plot and details. Two a day would be nice, but I don't think he has the time to burn himself out like that (well, I believe so...). And guys, may be a delay on the outline (especially since no one's offering motif ideas :P )... started school today, got hit with a nice pile of over 4 hours of homework. And that's only the first day >_>.
  4. God, a world with that many ethical dilemmas? No thanks. Really? I'm rather fond of rain :) .
  5. I'm an Earth Serpent Libra. Only thing that's ever been correct about is the earth part, seeing as how I was born during a massive West Coast earthquake.
  6. Nothingness. Nirvana. And end of consciousness. Life's great, but I'm not a fan of it being eternal. [if that's the question >_<.]

^I'm surprised it updates so early. 7AM o_O. Oh well, at least the conversation looks like it's not going to be boring :-w ('cause they're talking about Ash, not 'cause of the lez/girl stuff  ). Ah! Theme was the other word I was trying to think of. Thanks for those, it'll make my posts less monotonous :P .

Meh, don't like the style, didn't personally find it all that funny. Ah well, guess I'm a diehard Misfile art fan :-w . As for the outline.. while I currently go through the comic and divide up the scenes by url number (seem to be averaging 4 or so pages per scene, so far just doing a timeline, though that's kind of long and not very organized), what do you guys consider good items/motifs to mark at each scene (and/or having a supplementary section for every page with a certain relationship, event, etc.)? I want to get 10 or so, no more, no less, so I can mark certain pages that a reader might want to flip to to find a cerain motif. Some motif examples would be: AshxEmily Angel Brothers vs. Cassiel (needs specific guidelines beyond just when these characters appear, ideas?) Devil and Angel Ash Vashiel's Dark side. Etc. in that fashion for 10 or so total items. I want to get things that are semi-rare and interesting (and thus worth noting), like those listed above. I'm basically going to make an outline (or timeline), and each of these motifs will have a special mark, which will be in a legendary. So, you can check the key to see which marks go to what motifs, and whenever you see one of those marks in the outine, you'll know what it means and a little extra of what happens in that scene (+be able to find certain motifs that interest you quicker). All suggestions very welcome :) . A synonym for "motif" would be greatly appreciated as well :XD: .

Well, thank you for providing your opinion, but I'm not arguing with you about the ethics of abortion- I'm pro-choice myself, or however people label it nowadays. I still want you to answer the question :| . You're acting like the men don't get a say in the argument at all, like the woman just completely disregards her partners opinion and makes every decision on her own. That's pretty risible considering how vital a decision abortion is and can be for a couple. Yes, sometimes the woman aborts without the father knowing, but in all other cases, are you seriously saying that the father doesn't have any say at all? And even if he didn't, how is the child still not the responsibility of both it's parents? I.e., do you think it's right for a father to leave his partner to fend for herself if they both create a baby that the woman wishes to keep? Ya, suppose I have to agree with you there :-w . What, the father should just let his partner and the child rot, and be a heartless [bleep]? "It's in the child's best interest that the father walk out"? What? I mean, if the father's abusive than he can be denied custody, I get that point... but until the father is deemed unfit for the benefit of the child, I see no reason why they should be allowed to escape responsibility. Again, I'd really prefer if you answered the question though before we went further with this discussion.

My sense of morality has nothing to do with my argumentation. For all i know i can't tell the difference between morality and hypocrism. Hellz yes it does. You're arguing your point of view, so at least tell us your gut feeling on the issue, what your morality tells you is right. What's wrong with mentioning that? It's a vital part of your position, especially on a topic such as abortion, so if you don't mind, answer the question please: Would you walk out on some girl after impregnating her? "Yes" or "no" will suffice (and this scenario involves intercourse, so don't try and fall back on the anecdote of Boris Becker you used below). I'll say it again: Just because the woman has more control doesn't mean that both parents don't share equal responsibility for the child that they created. Just because .0001% of women who carry a baby abuse their power against the stern will of their partners Oh, and the ideal situation is much more common than you seem to portray it to be, where a loving couple decides to have a baby and does. Sure you can spout out all that old "but we don't live in an ideal world" rhetoric, but the fact still remains that the vast majority of children aren't exactly accidents :| . Though (not sure if Sumpta agrees)... I will admit that you have a point on that Becker anecdote. He did nothing that could possibly lead to the creation of a child (other than making sperm available), so it is debatable whether or not the responsibility lies with the woman. I myself am not really sure where I'd stand on that, but in any case involving actual sexual intercourse, I still hold that any created child is the responsibility of both parents :? .
  11. Sorry. Twas nothing personal, just hope you've got some interesting stories to tell :P .

Yep. Okay, seriously... must force self to write essay.. so boring >_<. Oh, and yes, it's one every weekday. But considering the fact that the author merely teased at Em's disclosure of her belief that she didn't want to return to her old life, I'd consider it a while before something new happens, as that issue is most likely going to be the next big thing to pop up. 60%+ odds I'd say. Thus, there are going to be a few scenes before that happens, and so most likely nothing "interesting" is going to happen until mid-late next week at best. Then again, I'm one of the most cynical realistic pessimists you'll ever meet, so don't take anything I say too far :P .
  13. Rebdragon replied to dark_blob's topic in Off-Topic
Geez, ancy are we :P . Doesn't appear like anything's going to happen for a week from what I can see... but I live in EST (GMT-5), and from what I can tell it's up before noon. Oi, why am I still up -.- . Must finish college essay... can't... focus.
  14. Uh, if you're 5'9, weigh 175, and can curl that much (I'm assuming you're doing sets of 15 at least), you really think you're overweight? And are you sure you don't just have pecs :P ?

-_-'. Is it just me, or are half of Tip.iters having their period this week? Calm it people...
  16. That's... insane. You're either the smartest person I've ever known, or I'm missing something. How did you get through all the information for Bio with only 10 minutes of homework (unless you never did labs...)? How did you survive the Euro test from that description of your year? And how does your system work so that the classes you're taking sophmore and junior year I can't even take until senior year o_O? (including math- are you in a class of high-level seniors for BC calc?) And does your school have some policy of "some classes homework is mandatory, some it's just do whatever"? I've never had a class in my life where homework isn't mandatory. Sometimes teachers didn't check (like in AP Latin Virgil, but since we went over the lines in class our teacher could tell who did and didn't do the homework), but to have homework assigned that isn't mandatory? Uh... :uhh: . Honestly, am I the only one on this thread baffled by this?
  17. Rebdragon replied to xvillexvalox's topic in Off-Topic
Period. A statement. You paid attention in school. Care to explain, why this makes more sense then what i proclaim? Are you serious? Fine, how about this: you both created the baby, you're "bond" is what created it, just because she's the one carrying it doesn't mean it doesn't belong to both of you. What do you see that's wrong with that? Do you seriously think that the baby, which you created with a girl (that you hopefully love...), is solely the responsibility of her? By that logic, fathers shouldn't even be in the lives of children, since they apparently don't have any responsibility to their child. Both the mother and father are responsible for the creation of the baby. By parallel logic, that leads to the child being the responsibility of both parents. Get it? So i am wrong about that? A woman doesn't know if i put on a condome and i in turn can read on her forehead wether she took an anti baby pill, has a hormone spiral or whatever? Also who ultimately makes the decision wether to abort or not? (ideally we will discuss this together, but who has the final say?) Who has the final say? Except in cases where the girl aborts without her partner knowing the fetus ever existed, both the male and female in the relationship have the final say. In the few cases where the father is completely and uttely against the idea of keeping the baby, but the mother decides not to do an abortion, sure the mother made a decision, but it's a decision that effects both the parents. The child is still the responsibility of both parents, the creation of both parents, whether or not the father is a [bleep] and leaves the girl to fend for herself. Hypothetically, would you walk out on some girl after impregnating her? Does your sense of morality tell you that's all right?
  18. Ha, my mom always used to drag our family to Church, but a year or two back I was eventually able to persuade her into having us just go on Christian holidays :-w . Dunno why we ever went, not like anyone in the family was all that religious or anything Well, this should be a good lead in for my mom. My mom's spiritual, but more Buddhist spiritual, believing in the soul and it's power and whatnot, nothing to do with blind faith or anything :-w (which is why I never understood her need to go to Church, she's not all that devout a Christian). Well, if you exclude her believing all those "psychics" are real, and her believing that crystals can hold spiritual power, she's pretty normal. Good job, intelligient, good and nice all around, little dense on the science side though. That's the main thing- me and my dad have so much trouble explaining scientific things to her (even though she's intelligient otherwise) and it gets so annoying when she gets spiritual about everything. I mean, I had to have a frikkin' 30 minute conversation with her explaining why Neutrino's have nothing to do with ghosts, even if they're dubbed "ghost particles". God that one was annoying. Dad's good, really intelligient (talk with him about physics and whatnot a lot), read more books than I can count. We get along fine. 16 year old sis is more stubborn than a 100-foot thick wall of reinforced steel. Resorts to whining whenever she loses an argument. 14 year old sis wins tattle-tail, lazy [...] of the year. She won't ever get up to get the phone ringing 5 feet from her, and she's great at telling the half of the story that helps her. Remote hog too. Got nothing to say about my 12-year old bro though. He's nice and everything, nothing against him :P .

I think I can feel Sumpta's vibes right now asking my hand to slap you. A child is the responsibility of both it's parents. This "but she can prevent it better" crap doesn't give you the right to assume that you should get off easy after you impregnated some girl. And for the love of god, no girl is going to have a baby out of spite for you, unless you really think you're that much of a [bleep]. Oh, and we have welfare already, and free schooling. It may not be perfect, but judging by your response it seems like you don't understand that the state already offers what you're asking for.
  20. Lol, I don't hate you :P . I'm just surprised that anyone can say that they did very little if any homework in an AP class (okay, I hate you a little for having easy AP classes while mine were hell >_>). And is it "passed" as in 3+, or 4's and 5's? What AP classes did you take, and if you're willing to disclose the information, what did you get on the tests? Anyways, I had AP Latin and AP Bio, with highest level Math (BC Precalc) and high level English. For English the homework varied a lot, usually no more than an hour though. Always had at least 45 minutes of homework for Precalc. AP Latin was Hell on earth, with 1.5-2 hours of homework a night, and 5+ hour preping for each godforsaken test. And Bio, well, Bio was weird. Plenty of homework though. Here's a day out of the homework assignment list (we got one weekly or biweekly): That's pretty much what most days were like :| . That may be a little light actually- some days we were told to read over 50 pages (and do 10 pages out of the Study Guide on them) out of a book that weighed like 20 pounds...
  21. Rebdragon replied to dark_blob's topic in Off-Topic
Now that you mention it. They do seem better, but not a lot. Expected yes. The first few pages seemed a little rough (maybe the first couple dozen), but after that the skill level put into each page looks fairly uniform. Does it feel weird to anyone else that we were at first talking about 750+ pages, but now we're forced to talk about one at a time  ? -Working on the outline. Seems like I'm going to be forced to use a race-based plot outline, seeing as how there's nothing else to do other than just make a vertical list of what happens >_>. Ask what, if the names right? Yah, it's Shou Tucker, the Sewing Life Alchemist. And true, it's more disturbing in the manga, but there's some pretty disturbing stuff later on in the anime having to do with Tucker...
  22. That's... disturbing. Does your school pad grades too or something? And how the heck did you survive the AP test(s)? No offense, but OP, don't take this advice. At my school, the only classes that were true hell were the AP courses; the workload, the grading, it's completely out of the regular classes' league. To think that a school wouldn't have homework in AP classes... let alone actually have upperclassmen with no homework, or so little that it can be done between classes... that's just wrong. Please, especially in at least matters of AP courses, don't take runecscape_rocks' advice. And take every post here with a grain of salt, including my post about the varying difficulties of each grade level; each high school is different :P .
  23. That ought to be on everyones list.. although i think it would take you more than a few weeks. Japanese Oh, and yes, learning another language is no easy task peeps :-$ .
  24. No, I live in Sri Lanka :P . O lol...We had a priest from Sri Lanka come to our parish about a month ago. I can't remember his name though. If I remember his name I'll post it to see if it rings a bell. I kid, I kid :P . I live northeast of da city.
  25. Rebdragon replied to dark_blob's topic in Off-Topic
Oh geez, it's not going to be 20 pages. At almost 50 lines per page all I need to do is make sure the lines cover an average of about 3-4 pages each. Might be forced to 5-6, especially if I add extra stuff in beyond just the plot, but it's not going to be that long  . Oh, and not all the chimeras are depressing, but they do have a tendency to die (and/or be evil) throughout the anime :( . Oh, and not really Lionheart^ :P .
