Umm, you said DPS and CLS in the same sentance. Perhaps you don't know what DPS stands for. DPS = Damage Per Second Because the DPS is time dependant, you must account for the weapon speed. The rapier has higher DPS then the longsword, simply because it hits faster, even if has slightly weaker stats then the longsword. If you talk strictly about damage, without the time dependancy, then yes, the CLS hits higher. The thing is, excluding time means that you are only accounting for one hit of the rapier, and one hit of the CLS. And then, the maul would win anyways, because it has higher accuracy and strength then the CLS. It is only with a shield, against high defense bosses such as GWD, where the CLS is better then the rapier. You seem to allude to this in your second statement about making the CLS and shield stuff true. But as it stands, the CLS has less DPS then the Rapier for almost all situations. Jagex might change this at some point, but it is doubtful. Ever since Rs2 came out, the entire combat system of this game has been geared toward the faster weapons with lower power. Not something ridiculous like daggers, but scimitars have higher DPS then longswords, Whips have higher DPS then godswords, the MSB has higher DPS then the Dark bow. The Rapier has higher DPS then the CLS. Back before Rs2, everything was the same speed, and everyone used rune 2hs to fight with, because they hit the highest. This is not true anymore, because the game now incorporates speed into weapons, giving the advantage to faster weapons. It is possible to adjust the weapon stats in order to see which one is actually better if they were the same speed. Simply multiply each weapon stat by the ratio of weapon speed:weapon speed. For example, a scimitar hits 5 times for every 4 hits a longsword does, so the ratio of scimitar speed:longsword speed is 5/4. Multiply the scimitar stats by 5/4, and it will give you the stats a scimitar would have if it was the same speed as a longsword. I would like some new bosses though. That would be fun. Nononononono you missed the point. The point I was trying to make was basically your bolded statement right there; and that the bolded statement should be very true for this new boss. I DO get the rapier > CLS argument and that because the extra accuracy isn't needed between extremes, turmoil, maxed combat in virtually all scenarios. Slower weapons have higher accuracy, which COMBINED with their high speed, is supposed to make them useful on high def monsters. I remember one point when I was F2P, my rune scimmy was better on moss giants, but the longsword worked better on lesser demons because I needed the extra accuracy for (then) a relatively high level monster. At that particular level (let's say after I beat dragon slayer, ending with about 40att/def and 30 str) the DPS for me using my rune longsword on lesser demons was higher then the DPS for me using my rune scimmy on lesser demons. What I'm saying is we need a boss that, even with maxed combat/turmoil/overloads, you STILL need the accuracy of a longsword o.O Jagex really needs to make content geared for players with turmoil/chaotics/overloads. And chaotic shields maybe..... but the shields are another topic lol. Perhaps I worded it poorly, but my main statement was that I want high level content coupled WITH low/medium level content, not just exclusive high level content for only high levels. Vise versa should also be the case. If hunter gets updated with 5 creatures from 95-99, they should have at least 1 or 2 creatures in the 1-95 block. If 5 hunter creatures are added to 1-95, at least 1 should be added to 95-99. If a super low level quest is released, it should have "bonus" content for higher level players. I think it would be a poor decision from Jagex to release an update where the only thing you can do that week is to sit around and train the same way you had done the week before. High level and Low/Medium Level content does not, and should not be exclusive. I was not against the OP in the statement that high-level content needs to be added, but rather expressing my dislike for the idea of elitist exclusive content. Low level content always gets the benefit of the doubt, because everyone can do it, making low level content non-exclusive. If Jagex does that, then realistically we're looking at them simply grabbing all the weekly updates, churning them all out on one date, and suddenly we have monthly updates. They can't have every update have high level and low level parts to it. What's high level or low level anyways? Your Extreme Herblore Potions, for example - I had 70+ herblore, relatively high, 81 now, yet I still can't make one damned extreme potion, short of attempting to stew. I don't have a problem with this, few more d claw drops and I'll get 85 lol, but I don't see how it was anything but a high level update. Or Gunners ground - higher level crafting gets you more exp. Let's see, the last object is Onyx, requiring 80 or 90+ crafting, gives you what - 20k exp? Rather worthless at those levels.

What to spend Tokens on
I'd say staff first. I plan to get one after a rapier, whenever I actually DG that much. If you have enough tokens left over, might as well get all the rewards that might be semi-useful to you in some way, even if they are overpriced imo. That's just me. If you want to save money on recharging chaotics, go ahead.

Dungeoneering Rants.
So, I hate randomly dying in an agility obstacle room, because the game arbitrarily decides that I fail walking past this blade trap (spinning blade comes out of the wall when I walk past it) twice in a row. No apparent reason. Die. I'm solo'ing, gatestone portal, come back, OMG I make it by doing the same thing. yeah, arbitrarily decides I need to die -.-

Aberrant Spectres
I'm afraid I can't reccomend magic unless you use the highest level spell you can, but I'm not sure if you can afford that seeing as you can't afford a cannon. Worth a shot though. With all that gear, magic will probably be fairly effective I think.

Let's face it. We only consider the untradable herblore potions "useful" because of its bearing on combat. Every future skill update - like it or not - will be judged in its so called "usefulness" based on its relation to combat, because combat skills are the only set of skills deemed inherently useful. Most people in this thread consider the inferno adze to be useless because it has no bearing on combat. People consider barehanding sharks to be useless because it doesn't affect combat. The requirements to wield an adze or to barehand sharks are high in their own right. What if, instead of extremes and overload, Jagex released untradable skilling boost potions? Yeah, no one would consider that useful. So when players see updates to noncombat skills like smithing, crafting, construction, runecrafting, thieving, and agility, they invariably look for how it benefits their combat experience, either indirectly or directly. Personally, I don't agree with this paradigm. Skilling for the sake of skilling seems to be a lost concept nowadays. But that's how it is. Imo, the only eh....how should I put this....interesting, maybe? Non-combat skill or non-combat related skill (a lot of DG is combat) is construction. It's actually one of my fave skills, just sucks up money too fast for me to train often lol. Face it though, the game was designed around combat. Smithing - make better armour. Mining - ores to make better armour. Crafting - better ranged armour. Herblore - potions to aid combat. Fishing - food for combat. Farming - useful for cooking, herblore, which aids in combat. Hunting - chins, combat, salamanders are a weapon, grenwall spikes used for potions..... Depends on your definition of high level. Although, Jagex DOES need to make a boss scaled to 138s with overloads, soul split and chaotic longswords. Yes, longswords. Because longswords have higher accuracy and str then rapiers so its DPS is higher, and can be used with a shield because you need extra defense. No? You disagree? We need a boss to make that longsword and shield stuff true, besides maybe solo'ing a GW boss with a Divine. Tbh, it's quite a pity all these Dunge bosses are stuck in Dunge. I think Jagex should have a couple "escape" from Dunge, you have to go through one of those resource doors to get through it. (A new one obviously.) Or just make a new damn boss >.<

Dungeoneering, Fast dg, and anger
You still have 41 combat, your not lvl 3. Teams are faster exp when your with a good team. Lastly, in case you missed this, if your on F2P and your 90+, your exp rate is halved. Cut in half. However, if your on a team and the AVERAGE level is under 90, your safe. Hence why people team with lvl 3 skillers. To above poster: most likely. But the leeching wouldn't be worth it. Frankly, I can't see a lvl 3 skiller directly doing much of anything useful, besides being there to affect how the Dungeon is set up; monster levels, avg. combat level.

Dragon Defender Discussion
Well thought but if DFS is that outdated, then why it would rise back if everyone have no confidence on that goods? Besides like what I have said, people who have switched to defenders wont bother to have a DFS sitting idle in their bank which has a trend of dropping steadily since summer. The weirdest part is other 2hs such as godswords and claws have the same trend as DFS, which have a sharp drop earlier this week but swiftly recovering at 10% per day. +-10% is the max GE would allow for an single item, coincidence? What do you mean by arnt mutually exclusive? Rune plates is the obvious case, it requires dragonslayer yet can be smithed, bought for and loot from treasure chest. Dragon daggers is a boss drop in gwd as well i think. Er, by not mutually exclusive, I meant that wearing it could be the reward from a quest while getting the item is a drop from a monster or something. Do you know what mutually exclusive is? Means that having one means you can't have the other; like, for example, fishing gaunlets and goldsmithing gauntlets. If this is NOT the case then BOTH can happen. An example of this would be the rune plate.... *wurr*

70 Dungeoneering hardly takes long to get. God forbid Jagex release something people actually have to work towards in order to access. You have lvl 1 Dunge. It would take time. Do it in say... 20 hours of RS time. I doubt you could, and most people couldn't. Look. I'm not saying 70 DG for a quest is bad. I actually have, what, 73 atm? I'm saying that releasing it say with the monkey quest this month is rather unfair for someone with a questcape and lvl 1 dunge; if they did 30, then 45, 52, 58 64, 70 or something....okay. Or gave warning. Because, frankly, God forbid Jagex releases a quest with requirements much higher then that of the quest with the next highest requirements. They have to face reality and accept that too many questers would be annoyed. This is also exactly why, ages ago, somewhere that I'm not going to look for, they said they wouldn't have a cape for completing all the diaries. Frankly, you could say that a lot of questers are immature because of this, who are too attached to their questcape, throw in a comment about e-peen, instant gratification, etc, and probably be correct. Doesn't chance the fact that Jagex can't release a quest with requirements significantly higher then the previous max requirements, because too many questers will rage. Bad PR move. Frankly, if they give warnings for significantly increasing the requirements, remind people enough, maybe "token" quests just to build it up (example, new quest comes out tommorow, you have to do floor 12 of dunge. Rewards: Zip. Questpoints award: zip. Forces people with questcape to raise Dunge.) Lesse. Splitbark actually has fairly different stats, more defence, less offence. Infinity IS a step up from mystic actually Wait, it's not that much higher is it o.O. Dagonhai has a +1 pray bonus on each piece; although I'll still give you that one because otherwise its about identical to mystic. Still, I'd say there are 2 different sets at lvl 40, the more defensive one such as splitbark or skele (which appears to be -1 on like every stat then splitbark lol) and the mystic stuff. You know, range/mage needs a few more sets of armour UNDER 40, particularly mage. Well, range at least needs more under 40 armour compared to melee (1,1,5,10,20,30,40) all levels which you can get better armour at. Listed 1 twice because of bronze and iron.

Dragon Defender Discussion
I can't really back this up with anything, but it seems highly likely that you will need to beat a quest to equip it, and this quest will require a rune defender at some point. I can't just be a drop on it's own; quests and drops AREN'T mutually exclusive, you know. Seems like the easiest way to make sure you got the rune defender first. My guess is that the quest unlocks the ability to equip it and get one. I just hope I can get one lol. (By get, I mean that I'm able to kill whatever drops it or be able to afford it IF it's a drop.)

chatoic rapier, charging it
Wait, if you can trade tokens for 90GPP ea, and 120 dunge you get say 300k an hour, that's over 20m an hour o_O However, unless you can actually TRADE tokens for GP, your point is moot. And I sincerely doubt that you can.

Bet you....well, only 60k because that's max trade, that it will be 90, not 95. Frankly, I'd say lots of people simply dislike Jagex coming out with content they don't use. You see some high level players complaining about low level updates when those come out. Personally, perhaps because it hits close to home, I understand why people would object to quests coming out with very high requirements out of the blue. Let's say, 70 dunge. If you have a questcape but have, oh 30 dunge perhaps, your going to be very mad that you can't do the quest, nor will you be able to for a while. On the other hand, questers should know that the levels for the questcape are constantly increasing, and shoudn't be surprised when a high level or grandmaster quest requires skills a bit higher then previous quests, even if they don't have them. Perhaps this new quest requires 25 or 30 dunge for whatever reason, for an example. Going from 1-30 doesn't require a significant amount of exp, even if DG is one of the slower skills in the game. Incidentally, not that I'm even going to try to cite this, Jagex stated a while ago in a diary (or maybe Q&A) about an achievement diary cape.... that there would not be a cape for completing all the diaries. The simple reason being, imagine if there WAS such a cape, and imagine the release of the elite diaries. (Maybe imagine that the ardy diary was released with the rest lol.) Please not the damned fishing quest again. If Jagex wants to release a quest with 97 fishing, they need 10-15 quests before hand that slowly raise the fishing requirement for the questcape up to 97. What basis do you have for this statement, personal experience, what? I know of adults who complain, (mainly college students) and teens who couldn't care less. You know, that statement seems to support his. Lol. I think it's just instant gratification. Ooo, new stuff! Awe, can't do it. Hate you jagex. Or simply don't play that content. I'm interested in why you think people hate on the content, more then anything. Is it laziness, jealousy, a desire for instant gratification, or a "need" to grind in order to access? What do you think? All of the above, I think. Jealousy is definitely the largest factor, but that jealousy often stems from laziness ("I don't want to work for it, so NOBODY should have it!") and the need for instant gratification. It's really sad, actually. These people are so greedy and hellbent on dumbing the game down for everyone else . . . and for what? So they can play for six months, quit, and never come back? Pathetic. Maybe I just have a different mentality when it comes to Runescape. I've been playing since the game came out, practically, and it has ALWAYS been my goal to get the "best stuff," if you will. When GWD came out, I never once complained that I couldn't get on teams or that I couldn't participate -- rather, it became my GOAL to reach the levels required to participate. What we have, essentially, are two groups: mature and immature players. The immature players cannot handle not having whatever they want, when they want it. The mature players realize and APPRECIATE that this is a goal-oriented game that rewards players for their efforts. Actually, the two groups in the world are: those that divide people into groups and those that don't. There's a variety of reasons people could complain about something. And perhaps the update is overpowered - I certainly think Jagex did the right thing in restricting extremes in dangerous PVP. Or, how about needing the firecape at Ice Strykewyrms initially? That was removed because Jad is honestly too much of a challenge for some people. However, you DO need the firecape to beat the Karamja Elite... Anyhoo, I don't think it's jealousy so much as instant gratification. Jealousy, in the general context of high level updates, stems from instant gratification, and the fact that the people who already have the level, in a sense, receive instant gratification. Wait. What? The rest of your post made sense to me, but er... I don't have a problem with high-level content - anyone can become high-level with time & effort. I do have a problem with exclusive content and the notion that certain players / cliques are entitled to an elite status. Interesting that the thread is titled Exclusive Content and not High-Level Content, isn't it? ;) Er, high level content IS exclusive. Because, until you GET said levels, you are EXCLUDED from it. Also, that definition sucks; your not supposed to use the word your defining in the definition. Exlusion: excluding someone. If you don't know what exclusion is, you don't know what the hell excluding is. Not that it looks like your fault, but still. Frankly, not only do we need high-level content, we need high level USEFUL content. Fishing is almost useless because you can buy the fish. The adaze - ooo. We have dragon pickaxes. And dragon hatches. The only point of the Adaze seems to be to cut willows to finish off your 99 firemaking while getting wc exp on the side. Or, 90+ firemaking requirement that might make abyss rc'ing slightly easier. Smithing - rune platebodies. Yeah. In dunge, prom....ok, kinda useful. But, not really necessary imo. Woodcutting - the recent high level updates for it including Ivy and the Sawmill. Ooo. Now you can get 99 WC faster. Still ain't useful.

That would defeat the entire purpose of summoning as a skill.

"Life is too short to worry about highscores"
If all that was need to be said was the story of some guy who's life was ruined by his video addiction, then sure. And FYI, I really don't think he'd've become the president and made peace in the middle east, solved starvation in Africa, started a martian colony, and come up with a cure for cancer on the side, using nothing but a paperclip, string and a toothpick, if it wasn't for his video game addiction. Just throwing that out there. Also, please fix spelling errors. What's a maht? I'd probably express my disagreement with whatever you are trying to say in that last sentence if I actually knew what that was.
-
"Life is too short to worry about highscores"
Some people just need to quit. Some people have too much trouble balancing otherwise. And btw, do you think it's childish for a former alchoholic to completely quit drinking anything alchoholic? Really, him needing to quit video games completely is exactly the same concept. I'm taking a bit of a videogame break to catch up on my classes... I'm having some trouble balancing lol.... tbh, a break would be a good thing anyhow.... I have to agree with tripsis 100%.

what to bind...
Tbh, he'd be better off unbinding the b axe for the hood. Once he gets to 100, bind a prom b axe (or any other item he wants) then wait for the next primal one. Btw, hate the OP for having a surgebox -.-

Level 4 with Fire Cape
Yeah, get rid of the items, knock out quests, etc. I could honestly see people botting just for a statwipe now. Level 3 with firecape. Level 3 with all elite diaries done. Level 3 in Legneds guild or in TD cave. Etc.

is there going to be another xo weekend?
Realistically, you should expect them. To me, the answer is a definite yes.
-
is there going to be another xo weekend?
They've had two weekends already, I expect more. Not more then twice a year I do hope. They've still got work to do on them to prefect them imo.

what to bind...
I'd stick with the hexhunter and bind saggi arrows when you see some.

cant you be generous and repair some1 grave?
YES! especially wearing their items and turning off chat. It was great knowing they were probably crying behind the computer screen. I always stole peoples stuff from there corpses, but that just seems cruel. Really? Always thought it was fair game. And if someone took my stuff when I died, sucks to be me - I wouldn't hold it against them, unless they started flaunting my old gear in front of me. If the guy took my stuff after I died, I came back, found him with my stuff, and he said tough luck.... my view was, hey, it IS my tough luck. Although, I usually bless all the graves I see. Frankly, unless I DC, or die at rock lobs....or gw if I ever went there.... I can get pretty much anywhere in the game within my timer. Least anywhere else that I might die at. Like TD's a couple of days ago. I'd really like to not have to replace my void lol. Only thing I lost was 2 potions lol. That being said. You can't always count on graveblessers....

Do the Math for a Sticker
This section is called "Help & Advice." I cba going through all the pouches, putting them in the planner, and getting the cost. It would be a great help if someone had an idea or could do it. I am certain it would.

Do the Math for a Sticker
Or, say, what charms your using? How will you be getting the charms? How would that factor into the monetary cost - would you lose money doing it? Way too damn vague a question...

Is selling BCP worth it to get extreme's?
Yes

What Weapon?
Imo, ZS > SS. About equivalent at waterfiends...anywhere else I'd use whip tbh. (I don't corp.) SS is useful if your the type of person who likes to train str; me, I'm happy with my controlled options.

99 Dungeoneering
Holy crap! You were dunging with Neijeski! I know her! O.O Although we aren't supposed to talk about people here >.> Oh, and gratz. Quite the achievement.
