  1. Actually, the idea is that you go under the bridge, through some small underground cave river thing, then surface at the pool. Which, ignoring the bridge, still leaves the question of breathing. Either that or how there can be air underground there and yet have a pool above that.
  2. I was thinking that myself. I wanna see the good stuff!
  3. If you just started, you have 0 prestige. That there could cut your exp in half. Did you solo? Die? Beat all the floors? Etc. For people who are just starting to train DG, but have gotten several levels off of tears/penguins, your best bet is to beat all the floors you can on C1 difficulty. Then reset. Also, prestige/resetting. People get confused by this, but this is how it works: beat all the floors you have open and reset. If there's a floor you have the "level" to do but it isn't on your available floor list, beat the highest level floor you can. Shields aren't worth having, ranged prayer is iffy since no curses, the surge box isn't very useful, although it could come in handy on strikes. Also, it might be worth not spending tokens many tokens until you can get a rapier, or maybe just one item. And the class ring: get level 1 in all the ones you think you might use (once you get some tokens) or just level 1 in all of them. Level 1 in all is cheap enough that the tokens don't make a difference. And you should probably never spend tokens on exp (unless your like 10 exp away) or have like 110+ DG and none of the rewards left to buy interest you.
  4. They should fill up the bottom before they go to the top. If someone is, for example, at 80 hunter. And the next reward is at 90 (over 20+ hours of grinding away, btw), it really is not enjoyable for everyone involved. Then don't get it. Some people are not as stunningly impatient as you. I'd like to direct you to this post.... 80-90 is a bit of a stretch, to go all at once without much in between. At least with combat, you level slayer a long with it. I think one of the reasons I was able to get 99 magic is I was constantly going for some new spell or other. 80 for charge, so I could hit 30 with mage and snare people. 82 for Ice Blitz, because Claw + entangle sucked in FoG. 85 magic for teleblock. 87 magic so I could enchant onyx, to train better with lol. 94, Ice Barrage. 95, Fire Surge. 96, Spell swap, 97, all spells unlocked, not that I've ever casted a miasmic spell. (This isn't a comprehensive list.) A few of those levels...well, spells I didn't use as much. But my point is.... I had a goal of 99 magic for ages, but the way I got there was through little goals and achievements on the way. Not this big gap from 80 to 90. I'd say the best skill would be one that had new, useful content every other level. All the way up to 99. This is why I think some of the bests skills are magic, DG, summon, construction. (I like house building...)
  5. Try googling fluorescent bulbs. Look at images. 95% of them are the swirly, energy saving ones. Which, incidentally, are a lot brighter.
  6. I've yet to try one out, but personally I'm just not interested; I like real books where I can turn the pages and I like the smell of them. Yes, the smell. And holy crap. I just remember some story I read for high school English.... set in the future, and one part of it these two kids explore their Grandpas attack. They're amazed by these books that don't change what they say when you turn the page; and point out how impractical it is that they only hold one story, whereas the "books" of the kids hold thousands....
  7. I am not going to attempt to decipher that post. Please the english language. Or the french languague, I can understand that. Or latin. Or japanese. Or arabic. A real language. Obviously, my post was a joke. If you had taken half the time it took you to type your rebuttal to think about my post, you might have gotten it. Anyway, if you're going to insult the way people type, perhaps you should use proper grammar yourself. (Since I'm guessing that English isn't your first language, the least you could do is to eliminate typos from your posts.) I have taken the liberty of highlighting your most egregious errors in bold font (poor punctuation and capitalization aside) so you can see how much you fail. Additionally, consider disusing sentence fragments. I'm sorry. HOW many origami ornaments did you fold? I wasn't under the impression cooking was that fast.... Why do you even care? Cutting willows is enjoyable? On-topic: your really gonna hate me for this, but I'm actually wondering why your cutting willows at 99. Lol. I mean, not that I'm saying you shouldn't, but if I was ever at willows and saw someone with 99wc cutting them, I'd ask why they were cutting them. Assuming I wasn't just running past the willows to get anywhere and didn't want to bother stopping to chat. He's ranting about people like you; maybe you should just accept that different people enjoy doing different things  Not perfect with the English language, but frankly, I refuse to look at posts like those. Make whatever character judgments you want about me for that, it's the way I am. Thank you for pointing out my typing errors lol. Sometimes what I think and what I type doesn't always match o.O As for the cooking, it just seems odd to me that it takes the same amount of time to get 99 cooking as it does to fold origami ornaments. Yet the posters...post seems to imply that it does. Last part: I didn't mean that judgmentally but... what I'm saying is, it's doesn't seem unusual to me to ask why someone with 99 WC would cut willows. Not saying he shouldn't, but if I was ever around someone with 99 WC cutting willows, I might ask out of curiosity. P.S. My first language IS English. Tell me what that says about my above grammar fails o.O P.P.S. As for sentence fragments.... this is the internet. Grammar and spelling isn't as important here as it is in English class.
  8. THAT would be cool. They do that somewhat with penguins (well, on Halloween they're pumpkins, no idea about Christmas) but a landscape update would be sweet. Actually, if they do that, maybe they COULD put Santa hats on some of the bosses o.O Hmm....you know, one of my favorite holiday events was the one with the zombie head where you ran around with it scaring kids. It was much more intergrated then wandering away into Deaths house away from the rest of RS.
  9. Problem is, leechers are actually an example of emergent gameplay. Cos of the whole 90+ players get half exp. I don't think leechers should be banned; Jagex should fix the system so players don't find it beneficial to HAVE a leecher o.O
  10. Because I failed to find that amusing in any way, I'm going to ask why someone with a chaotic has only 70 prayer and picked up a gold charm.
  11. We're not supposed to mention names, so I'm just going to say that reading through this thread will go a long answer the OP's question. Lol. Suppose I could throw in something about Elitists having taken over, subconsciously looking down on people, suggesting that you should be uber rich from merching and have chaotics and maxed combat stats. *insert the ninja* Wait, what?
  12. When they thought about this, they had two separate thoughts: 1. Considering what the Bonecrusher does, it should be worth 34k tokens. 2. Considering what the Bonecrusher does, level 30 seems a reasonable requirement. The fact that 34k tokens means 340k exp means level 62 NEVER, EVER OCCURRED TO THEM. When asked about this, Jagex simply pointed out item 1 and item 2. The key to understand this is NOT to think hard about it, or perhaps at all. DON'T go looking for logic. The problem is, the token amounts appear to be chosen arbitrarily. Whatever they based token requirements on, it wasn't based on how many tokens you can acquire and have acquired AT that level. The only items that you can have the tokens for BEFORE you have the required level is: Arcane Stream. Split Dragontooth Necklace. Nature Staff. Mercenary's Gloves. Celestial Surgebox. Sneakerpeeper Pet.

  14. Smoking kills is probably a bad idea, I somehow get the feeling that a person who hasn't really touched member quests could do it. Or have the slayer level. Or has the combat level, which he could acquire in F2P. Great to do, but not something the average new member would be able to do.... and for that matter, probably can't come anywhere near affording a full slayer helm. I'd say lost city is a great quest to do if you want to kill stuff and have 60+ attack.
  15. Uhhh hell no. He almost got pwnt. It's a lot safer just sticking to Ranging Jad then. That's the way i enjoy it anyway. But i heard having a Saradomin Bow will make the Caves a lot easier seeing as the Special Heals? But those must be pretty costly and hard to get, right? Guess i'll just stick to what has worked the best for me. SoulSplit, Dhide, V Helm, Zammy Book, D Boots, Fury, Barrows Gloves and Extreme Ranging Potions. Will also be using Broad Bolts with a Rune CrossBow and Diamond (e) for Jad then. This still is pretty much the standard setup i assume? Oh and oc course i'll take my Whip + Rune Def for the waves up untill the 360's come out and play. Beating seers diary hard/elite will give you a sword that has a (probably) better healing effect w/o the slight prayer restore I think the saradomin bow has. Anyways, the saradomin bow is a bow, and in the caves a crossbow is typically your weapon of choice. And there's always Guthans for some healing if you want, not like that's anything new.
  16. Really, between high level floors and time, they should've removed the cap by now. Maybe Jagex should've done some research into making higher level monsters for higher level players on P2P to make it harder? Especially mages.
  17. Oookay.... not a bad idea, but except for the farming thing, didn't they do this already....? Also, that would be more hated then most events because of the P2P advertising. False advertising, because not not many (I don't think any) crops grow in 5 minutes, let a lone trees. Also, people like me want ALL the rewards. Even if I can't have them all at the same time, I still want to acquire all of them. And what's wrong with a bloody chat?
  18. Actually, unless he somehow goes with like four 126s, he's unlikely to run into the reduced exp anytime soon. Have to agree that it's kinda stupid how you need say 30 dunge for a reward, but level 50 to actually have the tokens. Problem is, Jagex looks at DG and goes, oh, this reward should be level 30. Then goes, oh, this reward should require 30k tokens. And doesn't connect those two thoughts with the whole 1 token = 10 dung exp. P.S. Sorry if my numbers are off. But you get the idea I hope.
  19. Yeah, that sucks. No way to lower fishing on F2P. I know that for the witches potion quest you need burnt meat, and if you use cooked meat on the fire you burn it. Hopefully Jagex will add something here? =/ Also, I'm 72 and had no trouble o.O I ended up fishing them south from the Lumby church, in the swamp if that helps o.O
  20. Um....sell it to the GE for max price, then abort the offer. Then, when you withdraw the item, make sure you withdraw AS an item. Also, you should only do one at a time so the default option is to get it as an item and so you don't try to withdraw multiple rune items in item form.
  21. So, I heard some of the new tasks aren't listed. Could someone please list them for me? D=
  22. Seems rather unfair that you can't run and such. I understand the point of an enclosed arena, but ancients would still need to have a point imo.
  23. I still don't get why the titan/lurker don't carry more then 7 ess. Also, have you noticed the BoB gap in summon? Lurker's at 62, tort is at 67, abyssal titan is at 93, yack is at 96. Yeah. I'm at 91 summon now, yet I'm still stuck with lurkers and tortoises. Bit offtopic here... I'm more annoyed at the tortoise thing because all the abyssal familiars only carry 7. Couldn't do like 9 at lurker, 13 at titan and 11 at the one they should put in between? >.>
  24. No offense, I have trouble imagining a way this would work. Unless it's more of an arena, with a starting room filled with a crapload of resources, you have 5 minutes to make what you can and battle. PVP DG wouldn't work with death penalties; the only NPC kills count gets confusing if you have monsters AND players fighting at the same time; biggest issue I see is lvl 3s coming to P2P DG in order to leech. They form one opposing group, the other 5:5 group of say 130+ does the rest of the DG. They get double exp for having the skillers and the monsters are a much lower level because of the level 3s. Omg. That wasn't intentional, but where have I heard that before? rofl.
