Yep. And one particular emotion I always cringe when watching is love. The best way to show love, some directors think, is to make them have extreme physical contact 'just cause'. I repeat myself because we keep going in circles and people do seem to realize that just because they are dogs does not mean that they should be left outside 24/7, because they are animals and that certainly means they are not vulnerable to heat stroke, sun burn, hypothermia, need to be with their family, etc! Oh no, not at all! You act like the dog is just going to lie there in the sun until it dies... If it gets hot they'll move to shade or get water.

It's also a risk to keep them inside because of house fires. Generally speaking, house fires don't happen often enough to be considered a credible threat to the dog. Although, around here, dog theft isn't a problem, either. Fair enough, but there are still all the risks associated with heat and cold and sun. Still, no one has been able to come up with a GOOD reason to keep a dog outside yet Ok then, how about this: Outside dogs have a better immune system because they co-exist with the diseases. Outside dogs have a better resistance to cold and heat because they live in it. So while it may be "too hot" or "too cold" for your dog, it won't be for outsides. Outside dogs don't need restrictions such as "Don't chew this" or "Don't pee here" They're pretty much free except for the fence.

Oh my, he has an awning or dog house that can protect them partially from the rain, but what exactly are the dogs going to do when it is really hot out, like it tends to get in the months known as summer? Or cold during winter? Go inside their dog house or under their awning and crank up their doggy AC/heat? Depending on where you live there are lots of things that can attack a dog OR PEOPLE THAT CAN JUST WALK UP AND TAKE YOUR DOG. Yeah he can get hurt inside, the difference being that you would be INSIDE WITH HIM to know if he got hurt or stop him from getting hurt. God damn some people are horrible pet owners Oh, and yeah because going outside for 20 minutes a day to play with your dog is the same as having them live with you in a steady family where they can be with all members of their family. They don't just stand around unless they're chained to something. In the Summer time dogs look for shade and water to cool off. In they Winter time they grow thick fur, which is also another reason why people don't like dogs in the house because they get hair on furniture and a common guest could be allergic to dogs. What if the dog gets hurt inside but no one is home? It's the same situation. You're starting to sound like the PETA...
