  1. Praying animation was changed in general, not necessarily for changing magics; at least it was on my Gilded Altar.
  2. If I may make a suggestion: If the issue is your son mistyping his password, perhaps you should have him write it down somewhere (but keep it well hidden from everyone, of course). This way, if the issue is him forgetting how to spell his password or what exactly it was, then he can just look at the paper and have it right there. If the issue is just that he's having problems typing it (i.e. he's a bad typist), then just suggest to him that he slows down and makes sure he types out the password correctly the first time, even if it takes him a little longer to do.
  3. If the fact that the forums open a new window annoys you so much, either upgrade to Internet Explorer 7 or install Mozilla Firefox, as both support tabbed browsing. This way, your new window will not open itself in a completely separate window, but instead in a tab within the current window, which helps to keep things much more organized.
  4. I'm not an Administrator so I can't give an absolute answer, however I do manage my own little phpBB board on the side, so I could probably safely answer your question. With the standard setup for the boards, no, what you ask would not be possible. The only field we have the ability to change is Max Login Attempts and then a Lock Out time. I presently am not aware of any mods to the phpBB system, however, that would allow for what you ask.
  5. can you explain it because i dont understand it :-s :-s :-s If your membership runs out, you are no longer able to log into Member's Worlds until you have more membership. Also, regardless of your Membership status, you cannot log into a Free World if your character is currently standing in a Member's Area. Therefore, when your membership runs out, you would be fairly stuck if you were in a Member's Area, so the game would automatically teleport you to Lumbridge when you next logged in.
  6. Don't think this was posted... If your Abyssal Pouches are only slightly degraded, but not to the point of first degradation (meaning they would then hold less essence), the Dark Mage in the center of the Abyss will still restore them, meaning that you never have to worry about making extra trips from decayed pouches again, so long as you stop by him regularly.
  7. It might be server strain. If I understand this correctly (I don't have a 360; I've yet to update from Gen-2 consoles yet), everyone who has an internet connection on their 360 is required to download this update. You then have other features which require a fairly constant connection. This would be similar to Runescape on an update day: When the update first comes out, the servers may be slightly laggy because everyone is downloading updates. So I don't think it would be a Red Ring of Death prediction, but rather you noticing an abnormal server strain as it affects your system. Give it a week or so until everyone has downloaded this update and you should be fine.
  8. I do have a minor suggestion. I can probably assume that in all scenes, every player will not be required. I would like to suggest the use of convenient clothing for all casts members, ideally including some kind of head-covering piece for certain members. My reason behind this suggestion is that should someone be absent, another player can dawn their clothing and we continue on. The head-covering piece would be to prevent people from seeing the difference in hair and (ideally) skin of that player.
  9. Agreed. A month perhaps, but definitely not a week. Now there are a couple of things I'd like to know before I consider this. 1) [not really important, but it's a legit question none-the-less] Since you say that you will be doing this with a company, will there be any benefits, either monetary or otherwise, to the person who is chosen? 2) Will the person be able to communicate with you via the internet for the podcasts (like using a microphone) or will some arrangements have to be made for the person to come to you guys. 3) What makes you think (this is an honest question, not casting doubt on this project's success ability) that you will be able to make this podcast worth it? Do you have advertising somewhere that you plan to use? Besides these forums and the other fan sites, how do you plan to get your podcast noticed by those not using fan boards?
  10. Ok, unfortunately, the software I have doesn't work with animated pictures. Per your request, I did manage to get the part of the animation you wanted, and I was also able to lower the size of the first alternative you gave to fit. This jpg is at 94% quality, which is still pretty good. You can't see any of the graining so it still works out. This one only had to be dropped down to 98% quality, since the color differences are rather low. Perhaps someone else can do better with your animated ones, but either way, here are my attempts. Also, for future reference (and possible current reference), people in the Gallery boards usually have better software and might be more able to help you whittle those down to size.
  11. http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp Try installing that then and see where that gets you. Short of that, I don't know what to say.
  12. Try rebooting. I used to get that error every so often. It's not Runescape, it's your browser trying to load the Java Client but hitting some error. Also, if you have rebooted, try updating your Java Client as well to the most recent version.
  13. Some of us have software that can help with that issue. If you post the picture here, one of us might be able to manipulate it without actually changing it.
  14. Well then, if you want/need a website to use, I have a suggestion for you (and hopefully, my statements, as crew, can be a little more truste http://www.getphpbb.com/phpbb/new_forum.php To prove this site's safety: http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/getphp ... F&aff_id=0 The second site is called SiteAdvisor, and can be accessed as an add-on to Mozilla. It's made by McAfee so it's safe. As to the main site: it allows you to create a free version of the forums that we are using here. I already have one of these boards, so if you need help getting them set up, let me know and I'll see what I can do. Now of course, the general warning needs to go out that you should not use the same password on this site as you would on Tip.It or Runescape. While the Admins of the site do not have access to your passwords, it still reduces liability (although I will admit that if one of the Admins is in a particularly bad mood, they have the ability to reset your password... they still can't see the original though).
  15. Role: One of the following, in this order Hero (Someone well known would be good) Servant (Anyone) Crew Member 1 (If we can get a real crew member, that would be great) Terms and Conditions: accepted
  16. Not sure if this was mentioned, but here's something I just realized. Like how the duel arena is basing its 3k stake limit on the Grand Exchange, Jagex could use it to track unbalanced trades even easier. The simple thing they could do is the following: Set up the game so that all trades will be recorded, regardless of amounts transferred. Have a staff member look down through a list of sales: This list would appear similar to below- (Player 1's Offer in GP) - (Player 2's Offer in GP) : (Difference) So for example, if Iron Ore was 90gp in the Exchange, and Coal was 200, then a trade of 10 Iron Ore for 20 Coal could appear as the following 900gp - 2000gp : 1100gp The reason behind the color is because it can be a scanning method to find imbalanced trades quickly. In the example I gave, the difference was all of 1100gp, which isn't too terribly much. However, if someone were to have purchased around 5m GP, then the trade would look like this. 5,000,000gp - 0gp : 5,000,000gp Jagex could then open a log of this trade, identify whether it was either a glitch in the system or an indication of real world trading, and investigate the accounts from there. While yes, the actual act of the trade will still occur, it would give Jagex the chance to investigate and ban those accounts before the purchase can make its way into the economy.
  17. About the only thing I can think of you trying would be to do Start -> Run -> "msconfig" (without the quotations). Go to Boot.INI and then click the Advanced Options button. From there, verify that the MAXMEM field is unchecked. Again, that's the only thing I can think of it being. Maybe someone with a bit more building/diagnosis ability than me can help you if this doesn't work. NOTE: Short of what I have told you to modify, DO NOT modify anything else, as I have no clue what other changes might bring about.
  18. Just to verify on your math; if you don't want to worry about having to put more money in, then for 13 days, you will want to place 1,650,000gp (1.65m) into your coffers.
  19. Here's what I would recommend doing. Establish the area (ideally rectangular in shape) that you wish to use. Click Ctrl + A on your keyboard (or Edit -> Select All) and then drag the entire image so that the top left corner of the area you want is lined up with the top left corner of the editing window. Next, scroll to the bottom right of the image and make sure you deselect the image first (hitting Esc should do it). In the bottom corner, you should see a small square (you might not however). Click this square, or the corner so that you get the dragging arrow (the one that's double-sided). Drag this up to the bottom right corner of the area that you want. WARNING: If you make a mistake, such as cutting out too much, the only way to fix the error is to simply Paste your image from the clipboard again and start over.
  20. Ok. Problem solved. It wasn't an issue with system requirements; it was an issue of buggy coding. As I described above, the line of code that prevented use of the game on older Graphics Cards also brought that incompatibility to some new graphics cards. All I had to do was find a specific bit of this coding and change 3 "allowdevice" lines from 0 (no) to 1 (yes). Problem solved. The reason I got this integrated graphics card issue was because one of the "solutions" I found mentioned that the game wouldn't accept Intel integrated graphics cards, which I thought I had (yet to confirm this, but it's irrelevant now). Now that everything's cleared up, this topic is officially done.
  21. The issue seemed to be with the game itself. Apparently there was a bit of code that was designed to prevent older Graphic Cards from playing the game, but it apparently prevents newer ones from playing as well. I apparently need to "hack" (I use that term loosely) into one of the files and change a couple 0s to 1s, which should fix the problem. We'll see how this turns out once I get reinstalled. If this doesn't fix anything, then I guess I'll just have to go without the game (I'm borrowing it from a friend, so I won't be out any money).
  22. The idea wasn't to make it unintegrated, but rather to trick any programs I'm running to not know it was, as that was an issue that appeared when I researched the problem. However, I just contacted Dell Customer Support regarding my game to try and establish what was wrong, and the person who I talked to (who was actually English \ \ ) found something that I plan to try once I reinstall the game. I found the external sound card solution and I'm saving it as an absolutely last solution (my mother has already said we aren't doing it...).
  23. Ok, so last month, I purchased a Dell Inspiron 1520. This thing came with a Core2 Duo processor and (apparently) an integrated Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT graphics card. Now I have a game (Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War if you must know) that does not like these integrated graphic cards apparently. This only just became an issue because my old computer was a Desktop computer that wasn't integrated graphics. Now here's what I'm wondering: I've tried updating my drivers, rebooting, and I've found tech support things in Google that were awfully unspecific and didn't help the problem. What I would like to know is whether there is a way to trick my computer (or at least the program) into thinking that I do not have an integrated Graphics Card. I don't necessarily care about the quality of the graphics if it becomes a necessary sacrifice, but does anyone have any suggestions?
  24. Just tossing up confirmation that this is the ring of which he speaks.
