Nests--Too hard to get?
To be perfectly honest, I'd almost call it a 400% increase. As I said, I would usually get 1 nest per trip. Without it, I'm lucky to get one in a set of 10. Ok, so maybe it's a lot more than 400%. But would you have really kept reading if I said outright 1000%? And what I meant by "doesn't increase by much, but increases it a lot" is that the amount of nests is low enough as is, but using the Lucky Rabbits' Foot increases the amount quite a bit.

Nests--Too hard to get?
There's something that every seems to have forgotten... Lucky Rabbits' Foot When the Eagle's Peak (?) quest came out and you became able to catch Ferrets, it also unlocked the ability to catch rabbits. These rabbits could then be caught to take a foot and make a necklace. Wearing this necklace while woodcutting increases the chance of a Birds Nest. When I wore one before, while chopping oaks, I was almost guaranteed one nest per trip, occasionally 2. While this may not help the supply of nests very much, it does increase it a lot more.

Discontinued items..?!
Well then, what about life runes? And other stuff that got deleted? I don't see a reason to list an item that doesn't exist. That's like listing car tires there. Life Runes were added and removed (I think) before the item database was even started here. We only created this database this year, and the Life Rune was back in Runescape Classic. And your reference isn't exactly correct because car tires were never in the game. We have items in there that no longer exist, and we leave them in there so that people who want to go back and look at them can. That's the reason we still have the destabilizers from last years Hallowe'en(?) event. They aren't in the game, but they did exist at some point.

What happened to the old newspaper? I think he means that edition 2 has finally been released...

Bestiary: Kochei the deathless
It may also come down to the point where whichever one of us sees it first may not have the immediate time to do the update. For example, every so often, I have a moment in school where I can check these boards. However, since the school and my home computer are in different places, I can't access the site-updating software we have, and so I can't do anything.

Closest Iron to bank?
I agree with the fact that the Dorgeshuun caves are the best place to mine iron, but it's the method that I don't like. They're telling you to bank in Dorgesh-kaan. Instead, I suggest you talk to Mistag and have him take you back to Lumbridge Cellar, where you bank at the Recipe for Disaster chest and go back from there. Use the 3 iron ores near Mistag in the little cave near him (there's 2 in 1 clump and an extra one at the entrance) and you'll be fine.

It's getting higher...(Hi-Scores Expansion)
I wasn't talking about it being fair. I was pointing out impracticalities, improbabilities, and disusabilities. I really need to tone back on the "no" prefixes...

SMTP error message while posting? Makes no sense to me.
Connecting to the mail server with each and every post regardless of mail settings is a rather stupid way to do it when you can just selectively connect and send mail as required per thread. You can go look in functions_post.php for the user_notification function and look at what the code does. It checks for subscribed users before trying to connect. :P Fair enough. I don't go looking through a site's code though. Don't want to get blamed as a hacker :ohnoes:

SMTP error message while posting? Makes no sense to me.
It has nothing to do with just you. If *anyone* has subscribed to the thread with the email options everyone that replys will get the error because it fails to send the emails other subscribed to. I'm not so sure its whether anyone is subscribed to it, but the fact that it exists and could be subscribed to. What I would imagine the board does is it connects to said server and finds itself in the list. This connection would be where the error is coming from, and not the sending of the e-mail itself. After it makes the connection, it finds subscribed users and sends the e-mail. So you'd get the error one way or another, and this would probably just be an issue with the mailing server. This would be a problem on our end somewhere, and is absolutely nothing to worry about since your post still gets posted. All it does is inconvenience you to go back through the main forum index to get back to where you were.

It's getting higher...(Hi-Scores Expansion)
There's a couple issues I can see with this. 1) These things are not actively counted in Runescape at present. That means that all these High Scores will do is show who has done how much of the action since the board has been added. 2) I fail to see what kind of relevance that these High Scores would have. About the only things on this list I could see even having marginal use would be the Most X-Monster Kills, which could be useful for team killing of monsters. 3) All of these items work on single-count systems, meaning that each time the action is performed, you only gain 1 "point." This would leave positions 5,000-1,000,000 each sitting with 1s, which has no relevance to a high score at all. While, yes, a minimum score could be set, as is present with the current High Scores, people would again only go long enough to get on the High Scores, and then quit after obtaining it. 4) What would be considered as completing one of these actions? For example: Players PKed/KBD Kills/KQ Kills: Most Damage? Doing any damage? Killing shot? Barrow Runs: Kill 1 brother? Kill all brothers? Make it to the chest and collect? Dragon Drops: Drops occurred? Drops picked up? Most Kills: Chickens, anyone?

Construction Question
To make Planks via the butler method you must: 1) [if logs are not unnoted]: Give Log Notes to Butler to unnote 2) Give unnoted logs to butler and send to Sawmill, as well as pay butler. My personal suggestion, however, would be to use the following method. 1) Complete the [An Enlightened Journey] quest. 2) Unlock the balloon routes to Castle Wars (10 Yew Logs) and Varrock (10 Willow Logs) 3) Have as much weight-reducing clothing as possible (Spottier Cape, Boots of Lightness and Penance Gloves) 4) Take the number of logs you have to plank, divide by 26, then round up to a whole number. Chop that many willows. 5) Take the number you got before and divide by 8. Obtain that many Emeralds, Gold Ores/Bars and Cosmic Runes (or substitute all for Rings of Dueling). Method: 1) Use the Castle Wars Bank Chest and get 1 Willow Log, 26 Oak Logs, and enough money for the trip. 2) Go to the Castle Wars Balloon hub, and fly to Varrock (payment - 1 Willow log) 3) Get to the Sawmill Operator and convert your planks 4) Use your duel ring to return to Castle Wars and repeat.

@Germans and Japanese
Last year, in my Problems of Democracy class, we went over the Holocaust heavily. We read some book from a Holocaust survivor (can't remember the title, it was by an Elie Viseal person, and the last name I know is spelled wrong, but it's German). After we read the book, the author then came into our school, as she had done with many other school, and described the experience for us. I live in North-Eastern America, and we definitely don't just skip to the gory bits and the basics; we were given descriptions of what they had to go through. We skimmed over Pearl Harbor on the anniversary of the attack, but that was about it. We should be getting into the Japanese issues later this year. EDIT: The name was Elie Wiesel, and the book was called "Night."

the Veterans Disarmament Act and the G.A.P. Act
If you don't like these kind of topics, then don't open them. These boards are not owned, controlled or operated by you and so you do not have a say over what people can or cannot post. This topic provides legitimate discussion over a proposed government action, and if you do not like such discussion, do not comment on them. Simply saying "shut up" has no discussion value what-so-ever. If you have a legitimate argument with regards to these proposed regulations, then by all means, post them. NEVER should you tell someone to shut up because you don't like their point of view or their choice of discussion. Now then, getting on topic: The only time that the use of guns should be restricted is whether a safety risk can be indisputably proven. No one person should be immediately prevented from owning a gun (barring age regulations, say 18+; 14+ if they've passed a special gun safety course or something, and then only with guardian supervision). All people should have to go through mental screenings, criminal checks and prove an understanding of how to safely use a gun. Any issue that comes up should be scrutinized until it can be determined whether the person can safely use a gun. Also, I believe that any type of criminal action that results in any kind of chronological punishment (Community Service, days in jail, probation, etc) should become immediately ineligible from owning or controlling a gun for at least 10 years. That's about all I have to say on this topic.

Ipod help
Most movies I've seen on computers usually run 56kb/sec to 256kb/sec. Lowest I've seen is 28kb/sec and the most I've seen is about 300kb/sec. Using these 4 numbers... 3gb ~ 3084mb ~ 3158016kb 3,158,016kb * 1 sec / 28 kb = 112,786sec ~ 1,879min ~ 31 hours 3,158,016kb * 1 sec / 300kb = 10,526sec ~ 175min ~ 2.9 hours Now the 300kb video is rare, and the absolute most common I see is 56kb/sec. So you're probably looking at about 15ish hours on the 3gb iPod. Assume you upgraded to the 80gb one, you're talking 400+ hours.

Back lit wireless keyboard.
Depending on what you use for your computer, you could possibly get an independant number pad. I know my mother has a USB one for her laptop, but I don't know what brand it is (Logitech I think). It's not backlit, but if you're any good at typing, the number pad is second-hand typing and could be done without a glance. If not, you might instead consider a cheap alternative to be a booklight that you could just attach to the top of your computer screen (if you're using a laptop or something, that is).

pest control planner calculating wrong xp!!!
This fix has been on our to-do list for a while now. I'll see if I can't get it bumped up a few pegs, but it might be that the formula doesn't have an immediately recognizable pattern (don't know personally; haven't done Pest Control for a while).

Need Avatar Help
If you need an easy way to do it, I know of one, but it's not necessarily guaranteed to preserve quality. What you need to do first off is a little math. It's easy though, and you only need to do two problems. ((Desired Height Dimension) / (Current Height Dimension)) x100 ((Desired Width Dimension) / (Current Width Dimension)) x100 Next up (providing you're using Windows), open up Paint, which is usually found under Start > All Programs > Accessories. Load your image in there, and go to Image > Sketch/Skew (or hit Ctrl + W). In there, where you see 100% in two different boxes, enter in the values you calculated above and it should shrink it down.

Steroids/Doping/Other substances that give you an edge
That, or everyone else is using more steroids and stuff. The point of competitions are to show how good you are; not how good you can make yourself artificially. If you have to resort to steroids to try and win, they you aren't trying hard enough and you should just try harder.

Moderator Application Discussion Thread - Check your Inboxes
I hate that too... usually what I do if I see it past 10 or so posts (only had to do it once though) is I go in and post something to the effect of "Stop posting in this topic. You're only making the issue worse by keeping it at the top." Now of course I only do it just after another person "spams" it so that I'm not blamed for the bump directly, but all talk usually stops after that.
