And I did timing on this a while ago, and I found that a full round for demon butlers to make and bank Planks with the log notes in your inventory takes a little under a minute, which i think well justifies the extra 50gp it takes. Either way, I have tested this a while ago and it is per trip, not per item, that the butler will count before asking for your salary.

It sounds like you may not have completely formatted your drive. If you simply used your Windows disc to do a repair, then it probably didn't repair properly and is giving you this problem (For example, I had to do that before, and several things wanted me to install SP2, but when I tried to, my computer said I already had it). Best thing I can say for you to do is to gather all the new files you want to keep and try reformatting again...

I think its the hassle of constantly getting pmed for name changes To change your user name in phpBB, when enabled, you just open your profile and edit it there, like you would any other part of your profile. When enabled, the area where your user name is displayed becomes a text field which you can change. When disabled, it simply appears as it does on Tip.It.

I'm pretty sure there is an option in phpBB that would allow you to change your Username, however I assume the Administrators have it disabled for reasons I wouldn't know.

Another option would be for you to stockpile a bunch of Oak Planks and, if and when you can make them, make Oak Larders in your kitchen, having your butler bring you the planks from your bank. I find it much faster to keep the noted planks in your inventory and just have your butler un-note them rather than going through the dialog to find Oak Planks.

I don't know personally how the in-text advertisements work, but it's possible that whatever script is running (or whatever it is) that finds these hot-words is causing the lag. The code has to scan the entire page, and essentially chooses at random where and when it wants to put the advertisement. This could put significant lag on a large page with lots of words to scan...

Are you sure the cartridges aren't clogged? Perhaps you might want to consider getting a new cartridge just to check to see if it isn't that. That's about the only thing I can think of. If the printer pulls in the paper and you hear the cartridge head moving back and forth, then everything is working find and it becomes a problem with either the cartridge or in the way that the ink is put onto the paper. If getting a new cartridge doesn't fix the problem, then you'll probably need to take it to a professional repair center.

To the second point you made, despite warnings we make about not using your Runescape password here, there are some people who are rather lazy or uncaring about the potential dangers of using their password elsewhere, and will still use the same password. I could probably safely bet that 10-20% of the accounts on Tip.It (that may be an exaggeration, but it may still be accurate) use the same password on Runescape as well.

I'm sure Jagex doesn't like fan-sites because they're exactly that: fan-sites. Jagex has no control over what gets published (outside of complaints to our administrators, which are usually acknowledged) and so could risk harm to their reputation if anything were to happen. For example, if Jagex linked to Tip.It as an official fan-site, and we have another issue with the password database like we did several months ago, people would complain to Jagex for liability because they endorsed the site that caused their accounts to be stolen. I'm sure Jagex isn't necessarily attempting to shut down all the fan-sites by taking away their business, but are instead making it less necessary for players to go searching for a fan-site that may be dangerous to their computer and their account. The reputation of Tip.It has been earned for a while, as has the reputation of RuneHQ. This word eventually gets out and people will then trust these sites and know they are safe. Of course, as I mentioned a bit before, no site is totally safe and Jagex is simply trying to prevent liability for any issues occurring with the sites.

Why shouldn't it just get moved to world 101? That's the nearest world to the P2P Tip.It world (99) so it would seem like a logical choice...

Donations are not a consistent means of revenue. Most of the people who visit this site could easily fall in the under 18 age group, and therefore can't make donations on their own without parental consent. We all know that most parents of this generation (note I say most, not all) don't like video games and would never want to support them, so this makes these children even less likely to be able to donate. There's also the issue that those who are capable to donate may not have the financial stability to be able to spare a few dollars to donate. Ads are our best means of keeping the site up and running. If this means that there will be a minor inconvenience, then it must be done. Note that these in-text advertisements do not appear consistently after the first time. When you load a page on time, the link may be there, however if you revisit the post another time, it may not be there.
