  1. You will definately need an Elemental or Elemental Mind Shield, regardless what method you use. The Skeletal Wyrven's Ice Attack can hit through prayer, similar to what a Dragon's Firebreath can.
  2. If you're members, you could always try picking flax. Flax gives you no experience and can easily be sold for 100ea in large enough quantities.
  3. Clues like that usually are posted in this method. "Drawers, East Ardougne." Rather than post the entire message, we provide the only 2 pieces of information needed to find the appropriate area. In this case, the clue was listed under search as "Draws, upstairs in East Ardougne." Also, while I have this post, it should probably be noted somewhere in the Coordinate section that if your level 3 Coordinate Scroll leads you to inside a ring in the duel arena, you will not have to fight a Saradomin or Zamorak wizard, however you will need a friend or someone to challenge you to get into the appropriate arena.
  4. As you said, and I won't deny the point, a lot of people use the Off Topic forums. However, an equal number (if not more) use the General and General P2P forums and the other related forums. I'm sure that if an Off Topic topic received a lot of attention, similar to the present Hot Topics, it will be considered. Most of the present Hot Topics so far have been game-like, however, or are based enough on opinion and on a topic that most, if not all, members of these forums will know about. For example, this week's topic, "Most Annoying P2P Quest," relies on a player's knowledge of quests, which almost all players do and as such would know about. Looking through the Off Topic forums, the most active topic I can see is UEFA Championship League/Cup topic, which only has 300 posts. I honestly have no clue what it is, nor would most of our members. In addition, most of our news announcements deal with Runescape topics, and as such we will rarely, if ever, talk about non-Runescape topics unless they relate to the site. Long story short, I would have to put a disagreement to this topic, at least until the Off Topic forums become more populous and/or a method to announce the topic in an appropriate fashion (note what I said above about our announcements) is found.
  5. I was trying to figure out if the effect was every time you used the staff or what - you've stated it is only the first hit. I assume it's 100% of the time on the first hit. Let me know if it can miss, ok? Wait, this can't be quite right, as darkblade states above the effects are cumulative. So it's possible for it to happen more than once. Please, someone tell me: does it happen for EACH TIME YOU CAST THE SPELL USING THE STAFF, OR DOES IT *SOMETIMES* HAPPEN AND *SOMETIMES* DOESN'T? Thanks to anyone who can help. If we can coordinate in game, I can pull out each staff and we can determine it once and for all. We can use my house to test it so that we don't have to worry about prayer.
  6. I'll go ahead and say what people have said before. Autoers don't work by watching the screen and clicking where they need to. Instead, they use a modified client that tells them exactly what to do. For example, if they got the Sandwich Lady, then their client would say something to the effect of this: Server: Random Event received: Sandwich Lady Server: To solve, click: Triangle Sandwich Autoer Client: Click Triangle Sandwich Autoer Client: Click Yew Tree So by making Random Events that rely on the player making actions based on visual cues will be very ineffective. Any solution to a macroer problem needs to deal with hiding Server responses while still making a player able to solve the event.
  7. One major problem with this statement... The 800gp you claim is coming into the economy was already in the economy, i.e. no money is added in to Runescape just by purchasing supplies. Purchasing items from players does not add money into the economy, it simply transfers it.
  8. Why is there no monkey bones for F2P!? Probably because since you can only get them one other place in F2P otherwise, there might be some kind of hype over them about them being "rare" or something... EIther way, I have to disagree with both suggestions. Doubling Prayer XP would be unfair for everyone, especially those who don't train prayer. If anything, it would have to be a constant about given to all players to keep them equal. A person with 5m XP in Prayer would go to 10m, however a person with 10m would go to 20m, gaining twice as much as someone with not too much lower a level. As for the shop, the only way this could possibly work is if the prices were extremely low, which would crash the player market on these kinds of bones, and could also give some players who haven't trained their prayer such a jump start on others that it could make prayer too easy to train.
  9. Skill Capes Prayer Books The new Dragon Weapons Player Owned Houses Hunter Skill Need I continue? :D (Please say no, I can't think of any more)...
  10. I agree with the fact that this idea could be vastly overpowered, however I have a small suggestion that could fix this. When constructing your Spell Book, you must pay for each spell you add. Each spell would cost a different amount based on the type of spell, and overall power of the spell. So for example, an Enchant Spell could probably cost 100gp/level in your classic book, while an Attack Spell may cost you 500gp/level or 300gp/level for a Teleport Spell or other spell. In your Ancient Spells, you'd probably get 1000gp/level for Attack Spells and 300gp/level for Teleports. Lunar Spells would probably be 300gp/level for teleports, 200gp/level for Support/Skill related spells (check knowledge base for that terminology), and 700gp/level for the Vengeance Spells. So for the Spell Book listed below, this is what you'd be looking at for this custom spell book... cure plant - 13.2k (lv66) moon clan tele - 20.7k (lv69) stat spy - 15k (lv75) monster examine - 13.2k (lv66) Npc contact - 13.4k (lv67) watchtower tele - 17.4k (lv58) house tele - 12k (lv40) slayer dart - 25k (lv50) entangle - 39.5k (lv79) flames of zammy - 30k (lv60) sara strike - 30k (lv60) claws of guthix - 30k (lv60) high alchemy - 16.5k (lv55) all enchant spells - 78.3k (total lv261) tele block - 42.5k (lv85) ice barrage - 94k (lv94) edgeville tele - 16.2k (lv54) Total: 509.6k This may not seem like much, but my prices probably could use adjustment... Would make a nice money drain however (*winks at Jagex*)
  11. Just going to clear this up real quick. A while back, someone mentioned that if you don't want someone looking at your stats with this spell that you should just turn your accept aid off. This spell is unaffected by accept aid being on or off, since technically it isn't aid. I could still have fun with this at the fishing guild in world 99. I cast that on one person, and he claimed that he was about to wet himself when he saw that. Honestly didn't need to know that little tibit of information but whats done is done. Main thing I can see this spell being used for, as people have said time and time again, is to check staking. This could also be useful just to freak out the occasional member-newb (note I said newb, as in new) and to claim that you just saw his future... Hmmm... I may have to try that... Too bad this is a member's spell, I could really have fun with this in F2P...
  12. Lets see... after I got that spell, I managed to obtain a death warrant from SaidinWoT by proceeding to read his stats (I want his 88 Runecrafting!) and found out that most fishing guild macroers actually have lv2 attack, for whatever reason or another... Also had some fun one time when I cast it. Someone wanted me to read their stats, so I asked for 1 cosmic and 5 bodies (the runes required, minus the astrals) and so as I was casting it, I went and said "Open your mind!" just cause I could... As someone mentioned, this ability was already available on a restricted basis with the high scores; this just makes for a convenient way to see the stats. This may harm staking just a little bit for the stat pures, but I'm sure those who don't have it won't be affected by it... Besides, I doubt a person with low defense would survive long enough against the 343 to have any chance... I ended up using 26 sharks on it one time, and the second time I came back with Barrelchest Anchor and somehow managed to hit a 24 and a 12 on it with the 2 specs, which made the rest of fighting him easier...
  13. Flatpacks. Given, you have to build the room itself, but I personally bought my costume room items.
  14. Um, no. Jagex is not going to "bend" the rules just because it is a problem. If everyone started murdering people, do you expect Government to make murder legal just to prevent it from becoming an issue? I can also tell you that you have broken a black-list suggestion for the 3 worlds that would be autoer only ([Private/exclusive servers e.g. Nor any servers based on Age/Player Levels or all PvP] and [New servers and their locations])
  15. Not when there's 3 of them, each using a different style of attack, who can each attack you at the same time and hit you for 30+...
  16. To get to Waterbirth Island, talk to the guy on the far west dock of Rellekka. You want the guy on the land-side of the dock, not the far end. Talk to him, pay him if necessary, and you'll be taken to Waterbirth. The monsters that drop Dragon Hatches and Mud Battlestaves are the Dagganoth Kings which are level 303...
  17. I would probably say for this spell, to keep it from being abused, you could only note 1 item at a time. Probably would need 1 Law, 5 Airs and probably 2 Earths. Theory behind those runes (yes, I thought of this logically) would be the Law for teleportation, the Airs for the transfer and earth since you're sending solid materials. As I said, you would only note 1 item at a time, however I'd still say it's rather unlikely that Jagex would even consider this for the reasons everyone else has said.
  18. We are aware of this, and we are constantly attempting to remove them. If you see any ads that advertise such sales, please report them to this topic.
  19. Yanille is the closest place to a bank, but requires a relatively high construction level. The most cost efficient and practical method to level up, at any level (past 15) is Oak Planks. Observe the random math I did a while ago... Plank & Nail (this assumes that you a: never bend a nail and b: you're making the nails yourself, so at 0 cost). 100gp to Make / ~100gp to Purchase 100gp/29xp = 3.44gp/xp Oak Planks 250gp to Make / 400gp to Purchase 250gp/60xp = 4.17gp/xp (|) 400gp/60gp = 6.67gp/xp Teak Planks 500gp to Make / 1000gp to Purchase 500gp/90xp = 5.56gp/xp (|) 1000gp/90xp = 11.11gp/xp Mahogany Planks 1500gp to Make / 2000gp to Purchase 1500gp/140xp = 10.71gp/xp (|) 2000gp/140xp = 14.28gp/xp So truly, the best guaranteed XP is in Making your own Oak planks, however purchasing them is just as good (although it may be alot in the long run). So if you want efficiency, use Oak Planks (too lazy to do a cost comparison of other items). Speed would be Mahogany Planks once you reach lv40 (lowest level mahogany item).
  20. To be perfectly honest, I don't see why it would be against the rules. Can't give 100% guarantee that this is true, but as far as I can tell the kill gives you "first dibs" to his items, and it's your right to refuse to take them and let them disappear. If someone else decides to take these items then, you've given up the right to them and there's no rule breaking. In short, since you never took your prize, you never became owner of them, and therefore you haven't traded between accounts. However, before you even consider trying this, send a message to Customer Support, because I'm sure seeing a new level 3 account pick up quite a hefty drop would raise suspicions...
  21. Before we can even consider what you're asking, we need to know specifics about it... If you are not able to get your picture to load, at least describe what you are asking, and which map you are talking about.
  22. Just two things to this... 1) Doesn't 100 cannonballs seem a little excessive for 1 potion? Maybe 3 would be more appropriate, considering the effort required. 2) The person at the Astral Altar is the Oneriomancer.
  23. Is anyone else having problems getting the game to load now? I went to get the stuff to load, it loaded the game code, and then the JAva Window went black and won't do anything now... Whoop, nevermind.
  24. In response to Errdoth's post... This was the first 4-1/2 pages of the Suggestion's board... need I continue?
  25. I agree with this. I mean, yeah I'll keep playing for a while, but eventually it'll get a bit boring and I'll stop playing eventually...
