First off, this is the wrong forum. You'd want the Forums board if anything. this board is for corrections to the main website. To answer your question, here's what you want to do. Place "" (again, without the quotes) after it. Do not add spaces between these bits and the link, and it should add. Remember that the limit for your signature is 450 pixels wide by 175 pixels tall and a limit of 30kb. Going to lock this since it was the wrong board.

I played it earlier in the year, and I'll resume playing it once my dungeon master can find time for us to do so. I was running two characters (Mage and Cleric) and I believe I was level 7 Mage and level 6 cleric when I finished. The Warrior on our team was 10 years old (his father is the dungeon master) and I know there was one time where we walked up on a sleeping red dragon (this being when we were each about level 3) and he wanted to go attack it... At this point, we're at some castle way up on top of a hill. Last I can remember us doing was launching two simultaneous Level 6 Fireballs at a passing group of 100 goblins (battle trained) and nuking all but 6 of them in the process, which were quickly taken care of by the theif/archer on our team. I believe the next thing we tried was taking a flying carpet we had, stuck an Elven Cloak of Invisibility over the flier, took my Fireball Wand (lv6) and tried to blast the top of the castle where the watchtower was. Conveniently enough, there was some kind of forcefield, meaning the end result was the goblins on top waking up, shooting at us, and that character taking about 12 damage... As for finding the book: the best way you'd even consider finding it would be to use google, but if you can't find it there, then you probably aren't going to find such a version. Dungeons and Dragons has such popularity that I'm sure the creators of it keep careful watch over their copyrighted material.

I thought this was what you meant by lying. :P Aren;t there other ways of permanently banning a computer than IPs? Isnt there some other information specific to a computer that they can use? I'm sure eventually, the major Operating System creators might make available a specific code that you use which identifies your specific copy. That would then be possible to ban with since rather than banning the connection, you're banning the copy of the disc and the only way to get around it would be to buy a completely new copy of this operating system. Of course, we don't have this yet, so as of now, the IP ban is the only effective method (kind of).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Net_Authority It may be Wikipedia, but I think it suits the purpose enough...

Misplacedme Said that I can make the Guide, however If It's good enough she will move it over to the Main Site. ~Alina MPM is a guy :| It's kind of hard to tell by someone's avatar. :| At least you didn't call an administrator by the opposite gender  *ducks below Albosky's punch and runs*

The runescape clan chat NEED's a new host.
darkblade986 replied to kieranread's topic in General Discussion
We are working on setting up a new clan chat that will be an unofficial one, however it will be run by one of the crew. I do not know what the progress of the chat is, but I can check on it in a while. However, it must be understood that this clan chat is an *unofficial* chat. We do try and keep it neat and spam-free, however we are only human. -
That depends on what you're looking to do. If you're looking for quick and damaging hits right off with the hope to kill your enemy quickly, then a Dragon Dagger(p++) would be better off. If, however, your goal is just for training, I would recommend the Dragon Longsword, since it has a better max hit, attack rating, and is still decently fast.

I would recommend trying the following and seeing how it works out. Stick to Ruby Rings, but also stock up on an equal number of Cosmic Runes to the number of rings you will be creating (and possibly an equal number of Fire Runes to cast enchant on them all, which is like 4 per I think). Then find someone on the forums and try sending them a PM asking if they'd be willing to buy Ruby Rings that only need to be enchanted, but that you'd also provide the Cosmic Rune to do so. Depending on how much they're buying for (I occasionally see 5k each), you could offer to sell them for 2.5-3k, meaning the person profits extremely well (considering you barely break even at 5k per ring when smelting), and they'd only have to spend a little time enchanting the rings. I've never really seen a market for Sapphire Rings / Rings of Recoils, so I would avoid those unless you're desperate for experience, and the Emerald and Diamond rings see almost no market at all either, since most people who need them either only buy 1 at a time or can make their own (case in point, I have 50+ Ring of Dueling(8)s in my bank made by myself). Again, I recommend those only if you are desperate to get experience.

Rather than outright asking them if you can get M rated games in general, ask your parents why they won't let you buy M rated games, and try and get specific reasons (such as because they think they're too violent, they don't want you seeing/hearing sexually suggestive things, etc). Then find a specific game that you want, and do some research (notable research, like online reviews, not "my friend said...") to try and play down the reasons for the rating. If you can prove to your parents that what they think is in the game isn't as bad as they truly think, they might let you purchase the games. You may be required to do this several times over if you have multiple games you want to get, but doing this kind of research should help persuade your parents in the future to allow you to purchase these video games. You might also want to mention that the ESRB ratings are only suggestions, and they may or may not be truly indicative of what the game is actually like. As a last resort, find a review of the game outlining it's absolute good points, while "conveniently" leaving out issues that might make your parents change their minds. If all else fails, you either continue what your doing and risk never gaining their trust or you can just wait 2 more years until the ESRB ratings say that you are old enough to play the game, at which time your parents should have no logical argument to use against you except that they don't want you playing video games that much.

I think this picture sums up the general consensus on the update... You all know how the rant about the Assist System reached 3000 in almost nothing? *insert facepalm emoticon*

I must disagree sk8_tolivv. While yes, it may take a little extra time, you save a bunch of money on Glory Amulets (1 @ 60k vs 20 @ 60k -> 1.2m). Now then, here's my suggestion. 1) Stock up on Law Runes, Earth Runes and Air Runes (equal quantities ideally), and have a Lectern in your house that can make House Teletablets. Move your house to Rimmington. 2) Bring your Law, Earth and Air Runes, a good Pickaxe (wielded) and maybe 5 buckets. Exit your house and mine Clay in the Rimmington Pit Mine until your inventory is full. Walk to the Well near the Rimmington General Store, fill your buckets and make soft clay, then go make your teletablets in your house; repeat until you have enough. 3) Place your Quest Hall with your mounted Glory Amulet near your Portal or move your portal appropriately. Go to Edgeville and stock up with Runes, Pouches and about 10 Teletablets, as well as high magic boosting armor and a wielded pickaxe (Steel should be sufficient). 4) Walk to the Ditch. Hop it, then turn on run and run to the mage. Keep your screen on inventory view and be ready to click your teleport if needed. If you are attacked with melee, teleport before you are poisoned. If you are attacked with Range, you shouldn't take enough damage to have an issue, so continue running unless you take large amounts of damage (40% or so, however unlikely). If you are attacked by Magic, do not teleport until a spell actually hits you (If you get bind cast, but it splashes, keep running. If it hits and you stop, teleport IMMEDIATELY. 5) Enter the nearest obstacle that you can (either the Agility Gap or the Mining Rocks), then head to the Nature rift on the northern end of the inner ring. Craft your runes, teleport to your house, get back to Edgeville, restock and repeat. I usually don't restock on teletablets until I have about 3 left, and then I just add 5 to my stock (so that if I somehow get killed, I don't lose much).

Magical [wagon] could be Magical Donkey. Never thought of that, eh? :-w You have to go by what a normal person would logically assume it to mean. Since the maturity level of Runescape is as low as it is, Donkey would be one of the last things to come to someone's mind (so I applaud you for thinking about Donkey; it shows your maturity level is at least somewhat higher than others).

Marshalrusty was added to the crew after the server issue a while back. He works with the company that hosts our servers (so I think) and was added to help clear up that incident last month.

Heh... Are we sure you aren't from the planet Vulcan, referencing everything as illogical? I swear, I was reading through that conversation and every time I read your lines, it came out in the voice of Lieutenant Tuvok... I am such a trekkie... :anxious:

Can the flood prevention feature be reigned in?
darkblade986 replied to qeltar's topic in Forum Updates and Suggestions
All of these suggestions that ask for a post limit on privileges usually result in people bringing up the point about spam, however this one is different. I agree; those of us with X many posts should be able to get around the flood filter. (Not asking for special treatment here, but the crew should at least get such privileges, since we have to go around posting quite often in the W U&C boards, and occasionally we need to make multiple posts at once). If you won't get rid of the flood filter, at least make it a bit more manageable for those with the acquired privilege, such as 15 seconds instead of the 30seconds/1minute control that's currently set (whatever it is). -
Why no multi-quote button?
darkblade986 replied to Schwarzenegger's topic in Forum Updates and Suggestions
There's another forum (I.P Invision Power Board) that has this. Now given, the forum doesn't hold as much discussions as here (and more or less is filled with spam, relative to these forums, including one random person shouting "BURN THE WITCH!" every other post -.- ), the multi-quote button does come in handy. I can really see it being handy in the Bugs / Suggestion board. A suggester can multi-quote people and respond to them all at once. As for the abuse issue, I really can't see it becoming a problem. We just need to report people who do abuse it for spam and continue on as normal. -
The following are from pages 196 - 202 of the Assist System rant... You know, this guy kind of has a point... :-k This guy spammed this at least once per page I looked at. Need I say anything more? An update coming soon?

Just wondering: Does anyone know of a world where lots of people do the Barrows, or do they do them on whatever world they feel like?
-
About the only way I can see this being accomplished correctly then is to ask the person using the calculator for an "Average Damage per Round," and calculate that in after asking for attack style as well (Accurate, Aggressive, Defensive, Controlled, Ranged, Magic). From there, the calculator should all work out.

You need to make sure you inspect Evil Dave in the dining room and go through the dialog with the Gypsy. After that, go talk to his mother and then Dave himself in the basement. At some point during your conversation, you'll hit a long paragraph that, for some reason, all seems to make sense. It's at this point you need to stop and mention something about the magic requires it or something.

How do i count my Hitpoint exp accurate?
darkblade986 replied to Taoyection's topic in Help and Advice
Actually, it's 1.5xp per hp of damage inflicted. As for how to figure it out, here's what I'd recommend. First, figure out how much XP you need for the level (the total of all your affected levels if you're leveling multiple ones). Then divide this number by 4 to get the amount of HP damage you must inflict for that level. Finally, multiply this number by 1.5 and you will have the amount of Experience you will gain for the levels earned. -
People are not here to view your signatures or your avatars. They are supposed to be here for the discussions. The signatures are a convenience provided by the administrators to help make yours posts more distinguishable. You should not need more than 30kb to make a distinguishable picture to identify yourself. Either way, these limits will not be evaluated for another year at least, since they were just reevaluated earlier this year. Also, the reason why the limits are so low is because a good handful of people on our forums are on dial-up connections, and loading signatures like the ones you demonstrated (I noticed one was 70kb) would take a long while. Assume that we allow 15 posts per page (which I think is phpbb default). Assume everyone on that page then had a 70kb signature. Multiply that by 15 and you have 1050kb to load. That takes a long while to load on dial-up, and in some cases, it tries to load the images before the text. In short, the limits are low so that the discussion takes priority over the images.

The theory about better seeds, I might buy. However, it should be noted that my Spirit Tree Seed was obtained from chopping Oaks.

I find that very very very very very very hard to believe. I have cut over 250 mage logs, and 500 yews in the last 4 days, and i havnt got 1 nest. And yes i am using a rabbits foot. Need I really say more? Since you get oaks faster, it calculates the occurrence more often, meaning more nests. Of course, I might have just gotten a very lucky streak, but I'm sure there's probably a calculated difference between different trees.
