My RS Wallpaper
I would cry if I used that wallpaper. It's just so cluttered and no pictures make any sense. If it were all you and the same character...

im a begginer hope u like ma sig c/c
Yeesh... [*:2pnmnpmr]Text. Really, really sucks. It's the completely wrong colour and is too sharp. [*:2pnmnpmr]Background. Really doesn't fit. You've got swirly backgrounds with some sharp text and a techy render. [*:2pnmnpmr]Filter pile. Move away as soon as possible. They look really tacky and amateur. [*:2pnmnpmr]Border. It's ok... But it should just as well be a 1px black. This should also be on top of EVERYTHING, including render. [*:2pnmnpmr]Render. No blending atall. The render should be below the border. Got a long way to go yet.

Final Fantasy
FFVIII was a great game. :) The graphics are a whole lot more advanced (from what I saw of FFVII atleast). But do not match FFX (evidently). The battle system is no different, really. Except for FFVII you have to equip Materia while in FFVIII you have to equip Guardian Forces (sorta like Aeons for FFX). Materia generally only gives a few benefits such as +2 strength or a new skill whereas Guardian Forces give everything the player needs. It affects skills used, stats, weapon abilities and some extra things such as being able to "capture" the enemy into a card for a side-game. The whole chibi versus non-chibi debate is personal opinion. I loved FFVIII for it's good graphics and the storyline really matched it. But the FFVII's graphics really bring out the fun side in adventuring. Whoa, do NOT get it for PC. The PC versions of FFVII and FFVIII only play the music using MIDI files, that's BAAAAD. You'd be better off getting it for a console or using an emulator. I'd still say FFX. Great graphics, great storyline and only a single disk. Also allows play of FFX-2 for a story addon.

Final Fantasy
The fights are only really close at the beginning and in boss battles. Random battles are rarely ever close, they just get annoying once they become quick OHKOs because you waste more time waiting for the battle than the battle is.

Final Fantasy
I agree that random attacks can get quite irritating. Which is what they attempted to remedy with FFXII. Instead of going OMGRANDOMATTACKLOLFIGHT the monsters just appear on the map. I can't go into any specifics, I have nae played it, but maybe someone who has and is a fanatic *coughlionheartcough* can enlighten us.

Final Fantasy
All except FFX and FFXI have ATB fights, but FFX-2 has the most interesting one. Grar, i'll get it in the new year and still beat you to the ending. :x Yeah, I think a show called "Bo Selecta" first used the term. Makes you sound like a chav when you use it though.

Cadburys' Signature Gallery. (Big 56k warning)
And i've looked through everyone of them. I've looked at them, and i've tried to implement them into a signature. All the parts I want highlighted with them never are. I use gradient maps, cloud layers and coloured gradients. Using a large render that fills up the signature just hides any brushing or effects and means you must squash it into one corner where it isn't blocked. I only really use scan lines to darken signatures. I haven't used them in ages. I sometimes use some white grids and set them to overlay, but I don't tend to use any renders which go well with it. Look at most of my signatures, they are generally anime or game character renders. Just getting a picture of sakura and placing a grid behind the image is just really random and probably won't add much depth. I do something similiar to that, but more subtle. Genrally I take an outline of the render, fill it with white and do a high level blur to it. Then I set it to overlay and a low opacity. Then erase anything that looks bad. I call it blending. Take the Penlo signature for example, if I were to use blue and yellow the render would simply fade into the background. That's not what I want, I want it to blend but still visible. Most filters generally stink on signatures. I generally only use blurs, renders and artistic (cut-out) filters to add lighting, flow or contrast. I appreciate you writing all this, but I do pretty much all the things you listed but in a different manner or just lesser.

FFX is a very newbie-friendly game. Also has a great storyline. Still waiting for FFXII over here in Britain. :x

Zombie killing tactics? ;)
- Cadburys' Signature Gallery. (Big 56k warning)
All the galleries going about reminded me of mine. Updated with new signatures. OMGLOLBUMP- My Animation/pic gallery
Interesting style, i'm guessing you use flash? Problem with animated GIFs is that they're harder to compress. I know in your other topic you were saying you couldn't get them able to use here. Well, the dust devils one is a big no-no. Even with 4 colours it's still 70kb. But your d-smithing one is easily possible with minimal to no quality loss. I'd recommend, though, that you did a new character for each pose. Just having someone stand with his hands out and some dust devils randomly get killed looks silly. Still, interesting.- Well. Check me out, doing the signature thing. [Gallery]
Much better. :) [*:nmc2lmvc]Small render. Try sharpening it, it's quite blurry. Then feather it a bit. (~4px) [*:nmc2lmvc]Large render. Feather it a bit. (~7px) [*:nmc2lmvc]Colour. It's a bit off, your render is mostly orangey/reds, you should make it that. Also it looks like you are using a H&S layer. You should use a cloud layer set to overlay. [*:nmc2lmvc]Contrast. Up it a bit. Signature looks quite flat at the moment. Make the adjustment layer above the brushing but below the renders. (~5 brightness, ~20 contrast) [*:nmc2lmvc]Text. This is good, it's simple and not at all obstructive or OMGINYOURFACE. Perhaps add a motion blurred line under it? Getting better. ;)- Cadburys' Complete Signature Tutorial! (Photoshop)
Way to spam, he's free to bump a topic if he has some positive comments or feedback. Besides, i'dve soon bumped it anyway, i'm going to add how to pop-out soon. >.>- my new sig MY BEST SIG ( GOT TO SEE PLEASE IT REALLY GOOD
Looks like a stock with some text on it. Care to post the original?- rate plz give c/c
Filter pile + random, flat colour + render - blending + bad text - border. [*:wm0aeenk]Filter Piles. MOVE AWAY FROM THEM. You will not get any better doing filter piles, they also look really tacky and amateur. Learn to brush. [*:wm0aeenk]Random, flat colour. Why? You could also choose better renders, they are black/dark blue so you won't be able to get a very good signature with them. Don't use hue & saturation layers either, use a cloud layer set to overlay. [*:wm0aeenk]Blending. Where? You can't blend a black render into a yellow background no matter how hard you try. From the look of it you just do a filter pile and slap a random render onto it. First rule of using a render; get the render first and build the signature around it. [*:wm0aeenk]Bad text. Never, EVER use a pixel font for any size bigger than 12. They look hard on the eye and although they generally go with anything, they should only be used for subtext. To match the render, use a gothic font. To match the background use a wavey font. [*:wm0aeenk]No border. Use a 1px black or cinematic. Make sure this layer is onto of ALL layers. Don't do a d2k, take our advice and use it.- Zombie killing tactics? ;)
Let's paint a picture here; you've been told there's a zombie invasion in around an hour. You seriously believe the drunken hobo and decide to arm yourself with your weapons, defence and your boom box. WHAT DO YOU GET?! Weapons: Defence: Hiding Place: Technique: Theme Song: Weapons: Golf clubs. Preferably older non-hollow ones. Defence: Slab of metal with make-shift handle. Hiding Place: Gardening center. Pitch forks [bleep]es are spiiikey. Technique: Bash and slash. Theme Song: Southern Cross/Northern Lights - 403. Go nuts. Note to Sp4de or other /b/ers, this was not stolen from /b/. :P - Cadburys' Signature Gallery. (Big 56k warning)
