Mind giving the rest of us your definition of human, i'd be interested in seeing it. Emotions is what makes up existance for human beings. We know its true for other animals as well. Mammals cry when they lose their offspring, Birds get angry when their eggs get broken etc etc. Emotions is in fact the very reason we all live and breathe today. Love, Hate etc. These emotions in turn determine our actions and no matter how rational a thinker you are emotions get involved in every day life. An emotional purpose to everything. Fear is one of the most vital, most powerful emotions as it limits ourselves. Some people choose to break certain 'fear barriers' and others choose to just be scared. But no matter how many things you do that you have been scared of doing, you'll always be scared of something. Fear, Love and Curiosity i think are probably the three biggest drives in human society. The love for wealth tempts you to steal. The curiosity drives you to steal. The Fear deters you from stealing. If you tell me you have no fear of doing anything then i clearly wont believe you.

Atheists don't believe higher power will punish them if they do wrong. Can't you just accept that some people actually don't do bad things because it will make them feel bad and they can relate to the other person. Not because they fear something will happen to themselves. Your telling me that there is NO Fear involved in any of your judgements. Okay maybe not fear in God or whatever but what about the law? What will your peers and friends think of you? What about your family? If you tell me there is no fear involved in your decision making process either your some kind of complex higher human being than all of us or trying to be some kind of 'no fear no [cabbage]' kinda guy? Yes i admit i have morals in me and i hate to do wrong things because of morals as well, but fear is also what constructs these morals. If someone doesn't want to do something then it is because of their judgement. Judgement is based upon what you feel are the consequences and the fruits of your actions. If the cons outweigh the pros and your not willing to take the chance its because of fear of taking the cons. Early man had an idea of higher power. We can see this in aboriginal art people believe in spirits, demons, monsters and beings that will punish/reward respectively (sp?) for doing right or wrong. Higher power was instilled into law, fear was instilled into law. And fear is what stops the world running into complete anarchy today. If you are genuinely not afraid of anything, then your technically not human.

Laws and Religion follow the same trend of Retribution. Being punished for sins or crimes you commit. Therefore it is rational to think Law came straight out of Religion. However unfair or fair it was. If you read 'The Merchant of Venice' By Shakespeare you'll see the laws are anti-semittic (sp?) and pro christian. If this isn't based off religion then i dont know what is... The world is based off Religion. What is Religion? A Person's beliefs. Someone who is atheist still has beliefs, morals therefore he believes in a higher power who will punish him for doing wrong. You can't deny that there isn't a higher power if its in logical or not logical to believe so. I'll say it now, i am an atheist but i do know that i am in fear of something. Everyone is afraid of something. And i am fearful of retribution. That is why i will not commit the crimes i have wished to many times.

Wow, what a load of bull. You actually think that athiests or those who don't follow these religious writings would soon lead the world to anarchy? You actually think that we don't have any sort of 'morals' so that if no one in the world was religious morals would just, you know, go away? Here is the facts, ok? Humans have little things called laws. These are not dictated by some 'holy book' and are put into place for the good of humanity. If there was no religion we can still have order, the two don't just go hand in hand. Does religion teach morals? Yes. But do the two come together? No. Anyone with a good head on their shoulders knows between right and wrong, and can keep up a good moral upbringing even without religion. One could say, for example, that religion really is just causing more seperations between ourselves and more reasons for violence. I'm not saying I think this is true, but saying that it seems to follow some of the same logic. Has it occured to even THINK for a second where these laws come from?

thats really sad, you cant say the bible cant be applied to modern day society because its scriptures like the Bible (Christian), Qu'ran(Muslim), Bhagavat Gita(Hindu) that stops the world from descending into complete anarchy. Every country has been united by religion in some way people argue that people are divided by religion more than united. I agree you need to allow abortions to let the world be 'free'. But there are certain things that should not be allowed. Therefore none of us can truly be free unless the world goes into a state of anarchy. We'll never be free because we will always be governed by one power. This one power whether it is elected democratically or has captured the hearts of people through his words and the teachings (holy books) is still one power. Teachings in any religion and holy book follows the same trend. Trying to supress the brutal, savage nature of man by giving him guidelines in the way he should live his life, make himself happy without hurting others...

to be honest this is whats the problem with the world. The minority make the majority look bad. See in India and Pakistan they say Hindu-Muslim wars escalate to huge amounts of violence and the two sides literally hate each other yet, when we go to Pakistan (im indian btw) we see no problems there everyone in fact treats us like a normal person. And in India the general population doesn't have a problem with Muslims. In fact it is the minority which seperated Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. The minority that still make the east and middle-east look like the most violent hell holes ever. And the minority which appears to make the majority evil as well even though they have no involvement in anything. Whats even sadder is religion even though it unites people it divides people more than it unites them. Religion is in fact a cause for many wars, many major wars as well. My mother is Hindu and my Father is christian. So I've not chosen a religion as of yet. But the way i see it, most muslims have no problem at all. Heck most asians have no problems or extremist views. In fact they say all the Taliban, Hezbollah... They all misinterpret Jihad to their own liking. I went to Kashmir where there was a LOT of feuding over from India and Pakistan. When my mom asked a Kashmiri Muslim what his views on the terrorism were he said: (Translated roughly of course) "These people are not true muslims. They misinterpret the Qu'ran to their own liking, give the wrong impression of the Qu'ran to the world and then make out that they are defending their religion. They are not defending their religion they are only bringing blasphemy upon it and are a shame to what Islam truly stands for."

Now most of us will think that the Big Bang caused the Universe to be what it is. This is one of the most well known and well proved theories compared to the many others floating about. Scientists have also said that the Universe will eventually go back when it stops expanding, a big rip occuring in space time. Now when this happens everything rips apart even down to the sub-atomic level and there is NOTHING THAT EXISTS. Now i try to imagine what not existing is like... I think its black and then i realise you can't imagine it being black because there is no light existing, therefore no black to be seen. Then i imagine it being white and soundless and then i realise it can't be white either for the same reason. After that i try to not imagine anything, a blank image. But even blank has a colour somehow. Okay so now it needs to be colourless, soundless and nothing should be there. Impossible to imagine. And then i always somehow manage to arrive back at the black thing... Even though i know its impossible im content with it or else i get a headache trying to think about it. What do you think of Existance and non existance then? What do you think its like?

This was a great read and it really did bring some valid points up but this is my view: The Reason for commiting suicide is because your life is 'unbearable'. Megan's view on unbearable just shows she is weak. Commiting suicide shows you are weak-minded. Depression makes you weaker and weaker. Its only when you try and combat depression that you become stronger. I know this is difficult but it is true however that these people are very weak and their lives must totally suck. Im sure we've all been verbally abused or gone through a time in our lives where friends have turned against us? We get on with our lives though. People who commit suicide live for the past. People who survive, live for the future.

To be fair, the way you put it you makes it look like you'd rather Runescape be like real life. And that just sickens me, who cares if the economy 'crashes' for a couple days, a game is meant to be about fun not about catering to one group of players who like to horde away their money and complain if the slightest update causes a 2mil net loss of their overall 750 mil fortune. I think these random event ideas would be great, holiday events do get tiresome and im pretty sure a lot of people are quitting because holiday events DO get tiresome and theyd really like some difference in a game thats really repetitive. Iban and the goblins a worldwide quest, and to prevent lag possibly make the worlds for these events say they make some more worlds dedicated to events. This'd be great, its something that is missing from this game. Unless your job is to monitor the RS economy and keep it stable or something (in which case you need a life) then why would you care whether the economy crashes?

Id say its because the D Scimmy is much more prestigous than D long ever will be. Purely because MM will always be harder than Lost city. No matter how many easier methods there are for MM the keyword is easier, never easy. Lost City remains easy and was one of the first quests i did as a member. But MM took me a LONG time which i needed the help of several people.

No-one exceptionally hates pures and pc products... I mean i bet most people envy the fact people make another account with better stats on one skill than their own main. I bet they envy the fact they didnt have PC when they were leveling to lvl 126. To be fair its just envy. And pity, i feel kinda sorry for the people who have the TIME to make a couple hundred skillers. But i cant admit i dont envy them for having the determination to do it.
