It'll hit the same, but keep in mind that the Zamorak GS special only freezes your opponent in place. Not extremely useful except for PKing and Castle Wars, maybe. The Bandos spec, on the other hand, does the whole "drain stat" thing or whatever so that might be more useful to you.

Yeah, so I left RuneScape awhile ago, but I want to try playing again. I don't have much in the bank; aside from 30 million in gold and a whip, it's virtually devoid of useful items. I'd just like a really basic rundown on items/quests I missed in the last four months, if that's all possible. I'd also like to know about the sort of things I should buy for getting back into combat training. As far as I know, the best stuff is still Torag's, rune defender, dragon boots, fury, whip? Maybe Guthan's? I'm just looking for advice. As said before, got 30m to spend. I'm only looking to train attack and defence right now, alongside slayer and a bit of ranged. Sooo.... yeah! Any help would be much appreciated!

Just so you know, the slayer helm doesn't have the black mask effect when you're not completing a slayer task. If you got the helm, and then stopped Slayer, then it would be pointless to have. You'd have to keep slaying or just don't bother with the Slayer helm and use the helm of Neitiznot. If you don't want to use prayer potions at all, then just use Torag's plate and legs. Best defence for cheap, and it'll last you forever. Other than that, your set-up is fine.

I did decent with Verac's at my stats (80 attack, 75 strength, 80 defence? I think) but I always did better with magic. However, I made more with Verac's but not lots more. I think maging would be more time-efficient for you. If you really want to Verac, make sure to bring range stuff for Ahrim and a super set.

But when you think about it, what is it really used for most? Combat, or the other insanely useful things like enchantments, teleports, alchemy, and the crazy-[wagon] Lunar spellbook? Yeah, it's hard to take on a well-equipped warrior in 1v1, even. But in my opinion, combat isn't the primary use for magic. You could always try a combination of rune and splitbark. I used to tank somewhat decently against warriors my level in stuff like that.

Let me get this straight. You took all of your possessions into Bounty Hunter for the sole purpose of losing them, when you could have sold them for money, and you're complaining that you've become bald? Are you serious?

Some really good "one defence pures" secretly have 2 defence. I think you won't lose any more fights with it. You'll be fine.

I don't know. Since the only profanities I tend to use on the Internet or in real-life are "damn" or "gorram" (shoutout to all the browncoats, yeaaaah) then I don't really mind the censor at all (especially since "gorram" isn't censored). If they lifted it, it would be pretty annoying seeing people say such enlightening phrases as "ill [bleep] your [bleep] you [bleep]." But some things should not be censored. "Phone?" "Butt?" Seriously? That's just weird.

Ice giants and warriors in the Port Sarim caves are good, and have fair drops for F2P. They're sort of far from a bank, but you can use the explorer ring to teleport to the Draynor cabbage patch, speeding up the banking process a good deal. Giant spiders and flesh crawlers are pretty good for power training.
