  1. If you took all the time and effort you'd put into this new account, and instead used it on your old account, then your old main would be so much better. It's really not worth it to drop an account that already has a huge advantage on a completely new one. Unless you've got an old mule with a few party hat sets. In that case, then make him your main. But you probably don't. So why am I talking? I don't know. But if you are just so set on ditching a perfectly good account that could be exponentially better if you took the time to make it that way, then I'd say just make an all-around good character. Which is probably what your main already is, or at least it could be. As for her not being any help, well I guess this entire post isn't helping at all, or you're just a fool. So be it! Go make yourself a one defense, ten hitpoint mage pure. I don't care. I'll just shake my head and wonder how someone could be so foolish.
  2. This is a pretty neat discovery! EDIT: It got moved, so cool. Anyway, I would totally do this if I had the money.
  3. Wow, um, why are you praying? Rune armor, dragon scimitar. That's only 200k at the most. Bring some food, collect hides and bones, bank in Bounty Hunter, repeat. You could also mine for gold or pure essence.
  4. This will tell you everything about it.
  5. Never, ever leave RuneScape for World of Warcraft. You will probably hate it, since just about everything degrades. It's like that in a lot of MMOs, actually. The degrading isn't that bad, anyway. For the full set, it costs less than 30k an hour, which you can easily make through skills or combat. The effectiveness of the armor makes those low costs very worth it. Also, look at your keyboard lights. Is one with an "A" or the words "Caps Lock" next to it turned on? Yeah, I thought so. Press the Caps Lock button. We don't want to see your excessive caps.
  6. Use a helm of Neitiznot, or at least a berserker/warrior helm. Also, so you know, the DFS costs at least 25 million... but it's also pretty much the best shield in the game, for every kind of monster (except basilisks). Add an obsidian cape, dragon boots, and your best Recipe for Disaster gloves or a combat bracelet.
  7. It's the dragonfire shield.
  8. Ankous drop adamant arrows, deaths and bloods, noted pure essence, some herbs and seeds, a few alchables, and the occasional level three clue. They're easy to melee, just wear decent armor, and bring a super set and some food. Basilisks are good, they have some good rune drops and some alchables. Aviansies are great, but since you're too damn lazy to train range, you'll never experience profits upwards of 400k per hour in stackables + alchables. Dagganoths are... not too bad. With a cannon, you get a lot of fast kills, and they drop decent herb seeds, a few runes and coins, and level two clues. I can't think of much else that fits your limited skill set. You should train slayer and range more to expand your boundaries, and unlock some good monsters to kill.
  9. With a bunyip, you are guaranteed eight hitpoints a minute until you run out of summoning points, which is great for most monsters. With Guthan's, the healing is random. I once went five minutes killing greater demons without healing once with Guthan's, then I healed four twenties in a row. It can be... unreliable at times.
  10. Um, this really could have been locked five posts ago instead of sort of going off-topic. :P Seriously, it's pretty much a pointless suggestion. I should have researched a bit more before making this topic. Go ahead and lock this, please (even though I already said it could be locked, all three or more moderators that posted in this topic ;)).
  11. What I really want to know is what happened to the guy's leg who kicked him? Is it broken? Bruised? Shattered? He's the real victim here, especially if his leg is badly injured.
  12. I'm not sure if there's a table, but there is a bestiary. Just multiply the monster's hitpoints by 4 for attack, strength, defense, ranged, or magic experience, by 2 for cannoning, long-range ranged, or defensive magic experience, and by 1.33 for hitpoints or controlled experience.
  13. I've heard that they're equivalent to mithril or adamant arrows, so I suppose they have virtually the same comparisons of power and accuracy that broad bolts do. When I used broad arrows, they seemed closer to mithril than adamant in terms of power, but closer to adamant in terms of accuracy. I never reached my adamant max with broad arrows, but I seemed to hit about the same as with adamant.
  14. Well, I did not know that. I suppose then that this topic is pointless and should be locked.
  15. I'd suggest a magic shortbow, unless you are fighting monsters with high defense. In that case, use the crossbow. ...wait, Zamorak books are 16 MILLION?! Damn, I remember buying all my pages for 200k each!
  16. Within the past week or so, there have been numerous topics in the Rant forums that break the rules. I've actually noticed that bursts of these rule-breaking topics pop up from time to time. I'm just paraphrasing here, but basically, you're only supposed to write rants about RuneScape. All other rants do not belong there. But where do they belong? We don't have a place for them. I think we should just stick two sub-forums under the Rants forum. One for RuneScape rants, and one for non-RuneScape rants. The rules for the RuneScape-related board wouldn't have to change at all. As for the non-RS rant board, there could be certain parameters to guide rants to, or it could be about anything. I'm not exactly fully supporting a forum in which people can rant about each other, the community, other ranters, or even the TIF boards themselves... but either we need to make it possible or change the existing Rant board rules, since people keep doing it anyway.
  17. I agree with pretty much every point. I also hope that one day, in the future, people will realize that EVERY NON-RUNESCAPE RANT GETS LOCKED BECAUSE THEY'RE AGAINST THE FREAKING RULES, SO THEY SHOULD QUIT MAKING THEM. Or at least try to get the Rant board rules changed.
  18. Just double-check all the items, make sure you're equipping them all, and make sure you're actually using "Panic" for the emote.
  19. I'd say that the normal human butler is the most cost-efficient. You can build three larders in the time it takes the human butler to bank and return, so you don't need the shorter times of the demon butler.
  20. This topic is spam. Read the Rant board rules. We really need another Rants board for people like you who can't be bothered to fit within the definition of the Rant board rules.
  21. I would suggest Slayer for the decent-sized, varied amount of charms. You get not only charms for summoning, but Slayer, hitpoints, and [combat style] experience!
  22. I would make a rant about people like you who make rants that aren't about RuneScape; unfortunately, that is against the rules. Therefore, this topic is spam and should be locked.
  23. Quit calling us all fanboys, damn it! It doesn't make us fanboys just because we like the game!
  24. Max out your mage bonus and wear an antifire shield. If using a bolt spell, make sure to wear chaos gauntlets. Bring casts of whatever spell you're using (40-50 per dragon on average), 10+ antifire potions (4), high alch runes, 875 gold for entrance, an axe (preferably one you can drop/alch later on), one or two pieces of food for emergencies. Drink a dose when you start taking damage from firebreath, and make sure to stand a few steps back from the dragons. Also, I'd suggest only killing iron dragons. They are much easier than steels.
  25. Dude, I barely hit 30s at 75 strength, and that's with +100 strength, whip + rune defender, a super set and a black mask on-task. Him hitting 30s with a rune two-hand at 76 strength is impossible, even with strength potions, a maxed strength bonus, and the 15% prayer. Feel free to loudly laugh at him and make demeaning jokes about him. Also, strength = max hit and attack = accuracy, like everyone else said. Someone with 99 attack and 1 strength would hit a lot - a lot of ones, maybe twos.
