  1. It shows. Anyways, one of my clanmates recently celebrated her 56th birthday. So I don't believe you're the eldest :P How ironic! One of my clanmates also celebrated her 56th birthday recently! Isn't that kind of freaky?
  2. tyrto: its a multi combat area? nerdattack16: have you ever beat bandos? No. But I've seen firsthand experiences of people my level with hairbrained schemes to try and solo it. PHAILED. Now, if you did take your aforementioned clan, then yes, you would stand a pretty good chance. You'd want to send in your best guy first though, so he can tank on it.
  3. Go with either archer ring or ranger boots to your current setup, I'd say. And if you're safespotting, then invest in a Zamorak book if you don't already have one. Pages are 150k each I think, and it gives +8 ranged attack.
  4. I just wore ranged defense armor and maged it.... I had 65ish defence and 60ish mage and it worked out fine... didn't hit me once. Seriously. I'd suggest bringing a DDP++ and special it when you can, then range it with a crossbow and decent bolts.
  5. You don't stand a chance. No safespots there, and your skills are nowhere near good enough.
  6. Flesh Crawlers, level two of Stronghold of Security.
  7. I'd suggest that you use a magic shortbow with bronze arrows, or a bone crossbow with bone bolts. Try fire giants, moss giants, caged ogres, or maybe even experiments. And here's a Post Count Guide for the Chicken Feather thing. Welcome to Tip.It! Hope you enjoy it. :)
  8. Your first question has been answered, so let me suggest something: There are better, cheaper training weapons than Karil's X-Bow, and don't even bother with the coif - it has only +3 ranged attack, as compared to a +7 god coif (which are fairly cheap).
  9. That kind of would be illegal, and you can't carry noncombat items in anyway. Tried bringing in some money once - didn't work. You could bring the airs, though... but there's no guarantee that they'd target each other, or kill each other, or get out with them alive. So no, you can't get them. Although I've heard of illegal ways... I don't suggest them.
  10. Your options are... A] Bronze knives (Least cheap, fast) B] Bronze arrows + MSB (Cheap, not as fast) C] Bone bolts + Bone crossbow (Cheapest, but slowest) I'd suggest caged ogres or white/black knights. Just wear your basic ranged gear: blue dragonhide, amulet of glory, archer's helm, etc.
  11. S'cool, my last dry streak was 80+ runs. but I broke it with a Guthan helm. :) Just keep at it, and you WILL get items.
  12. No, no, no, no. No. With your stats, you shouldn't even consider doing Barrows like that. If you even make profit, it'll be with large amounts of luck. Here's how you should do it. Helm of Neitiznot > Berserker helm > Farseer helm Torag's Platebody > Rune platebody Verac's Plateskirt > Torag's Platelegs > Rune platelegs Amulet of Fury > Amulet of Glory > God stole > Unholy symbol > Holy symbol Unholy book > Book of balance > Rune kiteshield Dragon boots > Rune boots > Mystic boots Barrows gloves > Mithril+ RFD gloves > Chaos gauntlets* God cape > Skillcape > Obsidian cape > Cape of Legends Ring of Life Inventory: melee weapon (whip > scimitar) 150 casts of spell (*Fire Bolt is best for you, since you can't use Slayer Dart, but make sure you have Chaos Gauntlets) teleport out (ectophial, teleport tablet, or charged glory) super defence potion highest d'hide top and chaps you can wear ranged weapon (MSB with adamant+ arrows, Karil's XBow with 50 racks, or rune c'bow with mithril+ bolts) spade two prayer potions (4) (don't even touch these except for emergencies) monkfish optional super attack potion if meleeing Karil (you can, but I suggest using a whip, and bring a DDP++ for the special) Order of kills: Dharok - pray in dragonhide for more magic attack bonus Karil - use up rest of prayer, sip one dose if you're getting owned though, and don't forget your defence potion Verac, Guthan, Torag - don't pray, just cast in melee armor Ahrim - range him, don't pray except for emergency With your magic, you'll do great casting even with a negative magic attack bonus. You should also get at least a 10-12 kill count, as it does affect the amount of runes you'll get. No need to get any higher than a 12-13 kill count though, won't really do anything after that. I highly suggest checking out one of the many guides we have in the AoW/Player-Made Guides sections.
  13. ...you'll have to be a bit more specific on what you want. We're not mind readers. Well, I'm not anymore, ever since that car accident. (Cook's Assistant is a good quest.)
  14. Answers in bold, hope it helps.
  15. You only get experience for essence crafted, not runes made. I could craft one essence at the air altar with 99 runecrafting, but I'd still only get 5 experience (and 10 airs) for that one essence crafted.
  16. Ranging is pretty efficient with 75+ ranged, preferably 80+. You'll need mithril or higher bolts; I hear emerald [e] bolts are the most useful, for poisoning and attack power.
  17. Pretty sure that means what is more commonly known as the Chaos Altar, right? Shouldn't be in too deep, surrounded by lots of bone spawns... I had that clue once, just pray right in front of the altar.
  18. Doesn't really matter where you stand, but there is a double spawn of iron dragons right by the entrance. As long as you're a few steps away, they won't melee at all. But make sure you have full prayer when you enter, so you can pray through black demons, or in emergencies.
  19. No, I don't get your drift. See, when I say that I'm a combat junkie, I mean that all I really like to do is kill things. Oh, and I like to buy unnecessary stuff and sit around talking to people.
  20. Actually, I'm pretty sure that's why revenants were introduced: to make the wilderness just as dangerous as before.
  21. To sum it up, bots are all but gone, which means we have nobody to sell all their willows to general stores anymore.
  22. I'm a huge combat junkie, and I don't have the patience to skill. Of course, this gives my friends plenty of fodder to make fun of me for, when their totals are so much higher than mine, despite me having more total experience... but I digress. On to the pictures. Start off with the first piece of Barrows luck I've had in at least fifty runs: And yes, I really was freaking out. :P And my best of bank... Not only am I somewhat-poor (I prefer "middle class"), I have no motivation to actually work on gaining money, because it's not really fun to me, and that's why we play, right? To have fun. :) And I just love boaters, got an outfit for each one. :P Books are all totally filled, too. And we'll end with a level I've been trying to get awhile, followed by my most recent stat picture (taken today)... Oh yeah, and a hawt outfit. Please don't flame the skills, since I won't listen to you at all when you say I should raise them. Toodle-doo! :) ~ Nerdattack16, Dec 2005 - present ~
  23. Well, it seems to me that if you hit an average of 6 with bronze arrows, you'll gain at least 3.5-3.6M experience, not picking up (see bottom). Picking up the arrows, well, at least 7M experience, I'd have to say. Plenty enough to get you to at least 90 ranged. Not Picking Up Average hit: 6 6 x 4 = 24 Average experience per shot: 24 24 x 154,000 = 3,696,000 Rough estimate: 3,696,000 experience Average hit: 5 5 x 4 = 20 Average experience per shot: 20 20 x 154,000 = 3,080,000 Rough estimate: 3,080,000 experience
  24. Well, I didn't really expect to get it the first time, but... ...actually, I did die. Totally messed up a bunch on prayer, but I learned, and I'm beginning to understand luring a bit. I think that I can do it, and I might try to get money for a fury or archer ring. After that, who knows? Thanks for all the help, peoples. This can be closed now, mods. :)
  25. Bone crossbow + bone bolts are extremely cheap, yet very efficient; crystal bow pays for itself in some cases, as in having it on the lowest recharge and ranging monsters with good drops. Plus, some people like to show off their crystal bow. :P
