You'd do pretty good at the level 50 spiders, third floor of Stronghold of Security. No drops, though, go to the ankous if you want some decent drops.

The point of RuneScape, which is in fact a game, is to have fun (while still following the rules, of course). If they have the most fun merchanting, then let them! What's stopping you from not having fun because they're there! By the way, the point of this sort of game is to have fun. Obviously if you spend so much time complaining about merchants, then you should find a game that you do have fun whilst playing. Think about that.

Thats because you only have 76 attack, with 80-85+ you should have a problem healing before they hit you, even lower probably. I was using super sets though. I thought having 91/76 attack might help a bit more... but it didn't. :| EDIT: And if you look up his name, "garados" (I'm assuming his Tip.It name is also his RuneScape name) then he only has 71 attack. He'd be in worse shape than me, so he'd probably do well to listen to my advice. :-w

I can't take a picture, but here's my inventory: 40 laws + 20 earths + fires + waters for all modern teleports, with an equipped air staff. I wear a charged glory, a dueling ring, and I bring along a charged Games necklace and 10k for boat rides and such. I bring an antipoison just in case, and a few lobsters plus a weapon. I always bring my spade, sextant, watch, and chart too, so if I get a coordinate I don't need to bank. Wilderness: all you need is a spade, your clue, a dragon dagger, and the watch + sextant + chart. If you start getting PKed, then drop your spade, watch, and sextant. That way, you don't lose anything of value, and you keep your food. As long as you charge prayer first, Zamorak mages are insanely easy with mage protection on. Hope this helps. :D

Don't worry, anyone can do that quest - even level 3s. :P Just bring some food, and 200ish of your best magic spells, can't take a staff though. There's a safespot you can mage from. It might take awhile, but you can do it.

Oh yeah, it heals on them. But it really sucks because, well, last time I tried using Guthan's on them, it didn't work very well at all. Since Guthan's is pretty unreliable, and they hit a lot when you have such low magic defence, I was healing for 15s but getting hit for four or five 5s in that period. I'd suggest either melee praying when healing (although that'll drain prayer pretty quickly) or just not bringing Guthan's. Maybe Bones to Peaches instead? :P

They're still in business, with over 3 million cabbages picked I believe. :o Here's the link.

I know a few pure skillers that do hunting, and a few with 99 hunting. You should be able to do it. Might want to carry around a teleport for emergencies though, but aggressive monsters do not populate hunting areas.

Certainly. Places like Wal-Mart, convenience stores, gas stations, etc. sell them. They're usually in $25 increments.
-
Guess I'll be maging him then. Should I prioritize melee defence, while still keeping a positive magic attack, or go all out for magic attack while losing my melee defence?
-
I can figure out the entire quest, but what should I do for the final fight? Combat 91: 76 attack 74 strength 70 defence 75 hitpoints 54 prayer 67 ranged 69 magic Equipment: Rune/Torag plate, Dragon/Verac skirt, rune defender/kite, whip/DDS, glory, climbing/rune boots, Neitiznot helm. I'll obviously wear a ring of life. ;) I heard that he's really hard to melee, but I figured I'd get a second (or third, or fourth, etc.) opinion.
-
Yeah, definitely. Since you cannot access Cooking Gauntlets, then you'd be much better off buying loads or raw tuna, salmon and trout. You wont burn any of it, and it'll be much more cost-effective.
-
For a beginner Barrower, you're off to a good start. Let me throw in real quick: I'd suggest a Verac's skirt instead (same defence, but with prayer bonus), and a helm of Neitiznot (prayer bonus, no negatives on attack). Since you only have 47 prayer, you could use every prayer bonus you can get. Try using a Guthix or Zamorak book, as well, it helps a fair bit. You can easily do Torag, Guthan, and Verac with no prayer. I only pray on Dharok and Karil, and Ahrim if I have prayer left. Instead of a combat potion, I'd suggest an (super) attack + defence potion, they'll both help loads. Try only praying on Dharok and Karil, works pretty well for me, and I always run out of prayer on Karil (70 defence, 54 prayer, about the same defence bonuses as you). And you really should consider getting higher prayer, like 50+. ;) And a 15 kill count is perfect, by the way. Don't bother getting 20, and 10 might give too few runes. :P

Is the quest attivement cape just for members?
nerdattack16 replied to camel006's topic in Help and Advice
Indeed, the quest cape as well as all skill capes are members only. -
67-70 Ranged: Absolute Fastest, No Chins :P
nerdattack16 replied to nerdattack16's topic in Help and Advice
So a bone crossbow would actually be faster experience than a magic shortbow? I wasn't sure of that. I suppose I'll try that stuff out, thanks everyone. :) -
Do we need a new membership option? Hourly ...
nerdattack16 replied to truffoo's topic in General Discussion
Not a bad idea, actually. Let's say I just want to try out a day of membership, to fix my bank or to try some minigames or something. I pay a dollar, get a whole day. I decide I like it, so I register for the $5/month rate, and Jagex just got another happy customer, plus a little extra money. It seems like this would be great for people wanting to try it out. There's no reason why they'd need to replace or remove the $5/month rate, they could just add this in. Monthly subscribers can keep their old rate, and interested players won't have to subscribe a full month if they have sporadic play times, or just don't like membership. -
I'd like to know the ABSOLUTE FASTEST way to get from 67 to 70 ranged. Chinchompas, along with other ridiculously expensive options, are not an option. Everything else would be open.

what is the max hit a non-member can achieve ???
nerdattack16 replied to needmore's topic in Help and Advice
Explain the 33s I've seen hit by a F2P PKer then (iraqi 0wnage, something like that). ;) -
Same problem happened to me once, with a double agent on an emote clue. He spawned twenty-eight times. :D I just logged out and logged back in, killed him again, and I got the casket. Maybe you can try doing that.
-
It's kind of weird, actually. It won't register that you're wearing it, when you look at your stats. But wear full rune and a whip in F2P, and the whip will protect above everything, despite the fact that it's technically worthless in a free world... trust me, I've personally tried this.
-
Neither red nor black dragonhide trimmed exists - you might be mixing Zamorak dragonhide for red d'hide trimmed, though. And nobody knows why it doesn't exist... maybe Jagex will add it in the future. That would be neat.
