I've seen a lot of great opinions so far. I'm not sure the community is really degrading. It's just different. There aren't big names like you mentioned anymore, and I see that as a problem. People don't really have anyone to look up to when making topics and posting. There aren't really role models anymore, but these boards used to have tons of them. Instead the community has in my eyes become waves and waves of people who come and go. Which is pretty similar to how things used to be - it just seems like less people stick around and become these role model type figures. Maybe they go to other forums like DI where they have more freedom. Who knows. I do agree that things are way different, and I'm usually one to claim it depends wholly on perspective, and that usually things do stay the same. With this forum though, I do think that overall the community has shifted in a different direction.

Tip.it Mod/TET/Crew/Researcher/Admin/Jagex Avatar Resize

Most staff have 80x80 avatars already. Most new members to the forum will be glad to be able to have a larger avatar, but to us established members, it would just create unnecessary work for us to rematch our current avatars in size. -
If it isn't hard to do, why not try adding it though? I think it'd be a nice feature to draw attention to people who might not otherwise delve that far into the event forum to find out about events. If they just see that an event is starting soon on the top of the form index page, click the link, they'll find out a lot about the team and maybe attend an event when they otherwise might not know about the team's existence. Granted this might bring an influx of people who just tag along and basically make unneeded noise, so it'd need to be tinkered with if implemented.

I'm not against it. I just think 99% of the time it's an artificial thing rs players for some reason need to experience and just get out of their system.

The point is to meet people you haven't known before. Why would someone who you're already friends with say hyt to you? You'd just say hey and go along with normal conversation.

and thats why you have rules one. no flooding the chat screen. Which covers about one out of the hundreds of annoyances we'd have to deal with.

You don't need to bring in the 12+ film industry or whatever allowed words list into this. There's no universally accepted list of words for an age group. On daytime TV you hear swearing, and that's accessible to people under 13 too. Jagex is fine in implementing a censor, and in my opinion it's more to protect the sanity of older players than anything. Obviously there is a small fraction of people who haven't and shouldn't unnecessarily be exposed to that language, but the fact of the matter is that if you give these prepubescent kids the ability to swear for the first time in their lives (their parents hopefully disallow it to the right extent), they'll go crazy and act like idiots because they can. And nobody wants to hear people swear just because they can. It's like when a toddler picks up a swear word and keeps repeating it because parents react when he/she says it. It's just annoying to hear.

I don't think I would have ever gotten as involved with graphic design through photoshop without it. Through it's community I learned a lot about site and forum maintenance. I got interested in economics through it, but more than that I learned a lot about psychology and human nature.

Nice job discrediting the entire field of orthodontia off of your one lucky instance. I'm sure everyone else who didn't get braces and needed them at the time are glad they took the same risk. By "all my teeth and turning from white to yellow..then orange.. then dark orange..almost to black," do you mean all of your teeth, and each tooth in entirety, has turned almost black? I doubt that's the case, and if it isn't, it could just be the area of your bands around your teeth turning color.

For the same reason I took the image he took a picture of and uploaded, took another picture of and reuploaded, then I took a picture of that one so I could do the obvious thing of taking another picture of it after I already uploaded it, so I could upload it once more. I hope you understand our reasoning.

I can't get much more relaxed at any other place than my house, so I don't really have a place where I go to "just relax." I do go camping once a year though like you, and it's a different type of relaxation. It's nice being away from the world but after a few days I start really missing the comforts of home.

How did you feel before you started playing? Any situations going on at the time that may affect your gameplay at that time? Over the past few years I've really toned down on video game playing, so when I do play I feel like I deserve a break to have fun, but still feel like I should be doing something more important. What are you feeling while playing this particular game? What do you feel like doing with these emotions at the time? I feel pretty relieved, just enjoying myself. I don't know how to answer the second part of your question. How do you feel after that particular session? relaxed, more tense than before, paranoid? I feel like I just wasted a bunch of time and that I need to catch up on whatever I should have been doing, because I usually play for awhile longer than I should have. But I'm usually still glad I played, I do feel more relaxed and the break was fun.

I'd rather have sugar than sodium benzoate or whatever carcinogens they're using to replace it.

Assuming the one's site doesn't have crazy shipping, the difference in the batteries probably wouldn't be enough to be worth the price difference, right? My budget's probably around 1500 max, and as for games, I don't need anything high end. I don't play computer games that much, so at most I'd just want to be able to play the game without too much lag.

With college coming around, I'm doing the routine laptop buying thing. At best buy they recommended that I get this, but often those guys aren't completely honest. I just found a similar laptop for $720. Since I don't know specs that well, I was wondering if anyone could quickly skim over it and let me know if there are any glaring obvious things lacking or anything that's underpowered. It's about $1050, so can anyone tell me if I'm getting a good deal? I'll be using it for all kinds of multimedia, sometimes games (nothing that heavy, just so I can play them without major lag), and being able to have a lot of things running at once. So a big thanks for anyone able to help me out here and give me their opinion.

If nothing immediately comes to mind for you then just invest it. To answer your question directly though, personally it would just go towards college.

He's talking gp, not items. You can't have that much gp.

It's not a party, it's visiting my grandparents and eating dinner... not your crazy teen spin the bottle parties. Those darn teen parties just get way too crazy. Them and their spinning bottles.

I'd go with completely ignorant. I'd bet the majority of people who put down clubs for being noisy, a headache, too many stupid people, etc are just saying that in compensation that they've never been to one.

One of my philosophies is to live life with the purpose of making memories. You know whatever happens it will be a good experience for you, and a good memory. It's your first time going, so better learn now than later. That way you'll be more at ease your next time - everyone has to have a first.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I'll get around to it. If healthcare was made free though, would doctors still make the same amount of money? From what I understand expenses would be spread into taxes so they'd make money that way, but would this effect insurance companies or doctors' salaries?
-
It's not about the money. It's about time. These studios aren't being stingy about Harry Potter movies. The issue is the movies are close to 3 hours each and obviously you can't fit everything in.

Of course a lot of people have most of those already, but apple is the first company to put them all together in a portable touch screen phone. That's what people are paying for, the portability of it all, among other things.

Why do you call yourself an emo? Did you wake up one day and decide you needed to join a group and then change your look to fit that mold? If you don't want to be 'discriminated' against, don't give people a reason to. Half the time they're annoyed you assimilated yourself into a stereotype. If you want to lose the stereotype and the associated perceptions people have of you, actually be yourself. You didn't come up with the idea to dress like an emo. You got it from other people.

Isn't worth relative? All these features are bundled into one tight package in a product that no other companies have put out yet. So to some people that's not a lot of money, it's useful, it's a status symbol, and it'd be worth it. And some people it's the opposite. I think it's pretty cool, but if I do get it I'd wait a year or two until it drops and they make it better.
