So basically you're annoyed that you have to go through more search pages than you wanted to to find stuff about yourself.

I just got it. Who here's able to restart-trade with me to get all three starters?

The thing I've wondered was out of all the people we see, the chances that they have used the site or forum, or even read your posts, without you knowing they have. Like especially at a university, I'm sure there are people that play/have played and most have heard of tip it, probably a good percentage use the forum. I just think it would be cool to some day find someone who plays rs, find out they use these forums, find out they know me as Adam007 there, and have a fun chat over it. Low odds but some day. :P

My school had a "Virginia Tech Tomorrow" threat written in the bathroom. We had to wait in a long line to get into the school and first be searched. The past few days we haven't been allowed to leave classes during the hour either.

I love the idea, it's just too bad you're planning on having so many kids do such varying over the top accents that she'd obviously figure it out. I'd try to have only 3-5 kids involved and make sure those involved are great at their accents and wouldn't slip on em if you really want to trick the teacher.

Yes, a death is a death and all death is equal in that sense, but that's not we're discussing. We know all deaths have equal weight, but why is it a ridiculous notion that Americans would care more about stories they can relate to? There's no such thing as being emotionally detached from all deaths. You would be an emotional wreck if someone close to you died (I assume?). You'd feel bad if a distant cousin was murdered. But you wouldn't feel bad if an Iraqi insurgent was killed. This isn't to say that one death has any more weight than another. Just that it is ok to personally place your own emotional value on a death. This is what news caters to. How much we can relate to the death and the emotional value involved. Again, the news we hear is the news we want to hear, not the news of most importance.

Haha, it wasn't because of the 'orca leak.' I made that picture half as a joke so people would suspect that prices were going down because of whales (for some reason there was a rumor that you could catch whales) - but prices on sharks were just as low when I made the picture. I'd love to brag and say I alone caused shark prices to drop, but I didn't. :P

I don't know if anyone said this yet, but the simple answer to your question is that news channels air what gets them the most viewers. This was a highly emotional story that is extremely relatable to most Americans, because they've gone through school and the idea of this is very scary. On the other hand, the war gets less interest because it's the same stuff day after day. People lose interest in who was killed on day x. TV channels put on the air what gets them the most interested viewers, not what is the most important globally. That's why we have local news, national news, and international news. If you want global news, really you have to use the internet or BBC or something, because most American channels are primarily national or local and report on what Americans care about, not the importance of the issue.

Indy, I'm 5 foot 10 and weigh 110 lbs too. :) Love getting that shocked reaction when you tell people your weight... I'm assuming once I get to college with dorm food I'll fill out though. I've got that same crazy fast metabolism.

In middle school I found a bunch of files that had user information for the whole school just laying around in a network neighborhood file. I didn't touch anything or modify anything but a year later I'm called into the principal's office and scapegoated for it because other kids I figured it out with linked it all back to me because I was the one who found the files. Anyways I was questioned for about a half hour each day for a week, and I made things difficult because I knew they were out to get me since they were only questioning me at this point and had already gone through everyone else. My parents also got involved with administration and it was really stressful for me at the time, since I've never gotten into trouble before. By the end of the week the vice principal told me he'd have to give me an in-school suspension. Feeling like all hope was lost since he was firm that I had to be punished, I jokingly asked if I could get an out of school suspension because if you're having an inschool suspension everyone knows about it, and I didn't want anyone knowing at the time. Surprisingly he acted surprised, "you'd want that instead?" he asked. Of course I'd prefer out of school. I was allowed to pick the day so I picked the day before winter break when all classes just watch movies. I considered it a vacation extension. :P

If it's one or the other I'd say heaven, because in Judaism hell doesn't exist. If a heaven does exist though, I'm fairly certain I'm living a good enough life so far when it comes to 'judgment day.'

You're 18, math isn't to hard to figure out... I wasn't trying to challenge anyone, lol. Just being different.

218 months old. (yes, I have to be difficult)

The only thing about darkness that scares me is stubbing my toe on something on the floor. :P

No I'm not ready. There's so much more in life I want to do and experience. If I died today I'd honestly feel like I missed out. I really value consciousness. I mean I'm loving life now - I'm just not ready to give it up. I'm sure there will be a day when I'm ready, but that day won't be for a few more decades. I don't necessarily fear death ever in day to day situations to effect my decision making, but I would be afraid of impending death if I knew it was coming up before I felt ready. As for sacrificing myself for a loved one: Like everyone I say I would. But I don't really know how I'd really act in such a situation faced with death. Nobody does.

Maybe there won't be any more leaked images from the KB now with this update. ;) -
It's possible she meant conscious in the sense of a super-ego, the thing that tries to censor out indecent thoughts/actions, meaning that you should write with full intensity, without worrying about censoring your writing.

Since I don't know anyone irl getting it and usually my friends and I do the restart and trade so we both get the three starters thing, so I'm wondering - does anyone want to do that over wi-fi with me? When it comes to Pokemon I'm really OCD and if I don't have the three starters it just won't feel right. :P

It would be nice but not expected. Jagex doesn't ever name anyone publically in announcements anymore. Famous players have died and they don't make a news announcement, although they did in their past.

I come in on the completely indifferent towards both group side of things. My school has no chavs and very few emo kids, most of which just look goth-like and I can't tell the groups apart anyways. I guess I should be glad that the sole existence of identity stealing groups like these aren't taking over my life like it is yours.

Skills of are higher value to me. They're what require time. I have plenty of money but I don't have the time to get the skills. I could easily buy several skills up to 99 - I have the money for it, but skills show dedication and hard work. Money doesn't. I might have over a one billion net worth but I paid only a fraction of what it is now, so it doesn't have as much meaning as someone who earned high skills.

I have a few questions to everyone on this thread 1. Question Creator: Why did you waste all this time typing up those mindless questions? 2. Question Repliers: Why did you waste all this time answering those mindless questions?

Exactly what I was going to say. You're desensitized (you spelled it wrong every time in your opening post) to fake violence. You see someone get killed in GTA and obviously you don't feel anything. But rest assured that you're not desensitized to real life violence. If you saw the same thing in real life of course you would react differently to seeing it in a movie. Think nothing of how you perceive things in the movies, because you know it's not real, so you shouldn't expect to feel really emotional about it.

I've done it a few times. Generally you're just prolonging the inevitable by doing that, because if they're that close to quitting anyway, they're bound to get bored a few days after even after you spent an hour persuading them to stay.
