It was a clan chat. There is bound to be competition when multiple santa sellers encounter a potential buyer.

so naive....most merchants sell only about 100k - 200k above the price that they bought for(talking about rares). Ripping people off is not what we do. Besides, rare prices fluctuate by the hour. There is no way to set a price on something for more than a day. You cant say "a green mask is worth x gp". It always changes. And about killing his business....I understand what forum hijacking is and I am against that. But he is the one who advertised his chat in the first place. Then he decides to kick people out for no reason. A rares chat CANNOT survive without people trying to undersell others. Its how the system works. I am saying that what he did was inappropriate in my eyes. If you host a clan chat, its fair game for anyone to talk to anyone else. Isnt that what a clan chat is meant to be? Its not private. Everyone interacts with everyone else. My rant is that the owner was a big jerk in doing that. I am not mad that I lost a trade. Sometimes we lose, sometimes we win. I completely understand that. Its the way the owner dealt with competitors that I didnt like. Why make a clan chat in the first place?

first post! nice mask! I had the same goal as you and achieved that a month ago. Once you merchant masks, and santas, the money kind of just flows in steadily. My first green mask, I sold for 23.5mil! I was selling for 20.5, but the guy offered 3m extra. I was so happy. keep it up though.

Hey whats up man. I see you in world 1 a lot. You just kinda stand there with that reaper hood and people just trade you lol. I wish I was that lucky. I have to type "selling blue mask-anim" over an over again. For me, the income comes in slowly. I play 2 hours a day also, but the most I seem to make is about 200-400k.

Ok heres the story. I am f2p. I merchant rares. My resources are: w1, RSOF and clan chats. I find a post on RSOF Discontinued section saying "Come sell your rares here..." I join the chat. It is full of people and some famous merchants too. So I am thinking, hey.."This is cool." I am standing in w1, browsing RSOF and clan chatting at once and trying to find good deals. Some desperate guy joins the chat and says, buying santa. Of course, some newb merchants say "I sell it for 25m...." Amazingly, this buyer says ok to 25m. I check his stats and he is legit. lvl 120. At the moment, santas were about 23.7-23.8m. Then, the owner of the chat says to the guy "I sell my santa 24.9m". The buyer is very happy and says "anyone lower?". No one replies and the owner of the chat and the buyer confirm the meeting place as world x, place y... I am like "whoa, this guy is legit." I could try and make a little profit here and I say in clan chat "hey I sell a santa to you for 24m." One second after I say that, I get kicked out by the owner. I mean come on!!! :wall: :wall: :x He was totally ripping the guy off by selling for 1mil over the normal price. I believe that it was not in the spirit of the game for him to do that. I mean, he advertised his chat so that buyers and sellers can meet. Yet, he kicks out people who try to undersell him. Where is the honor in that? Why bother making a clan chat if you kick others for no reason. I was not breaking the rules.... I know I cannot name people explicitly here , so let me give you a hint. The owner is a well known merchanter who is a level 3 and his name begins and rhymes with "solo" and ends with "one who swings pickaxes"... Guessed it?

ya...he is rght. i tried to get a few noobs into "req assist" from me so that they could mine iron and I would get xp...it didnt work. good thinking jagex!

I like to trick noobs into thinking that I will give them free stuff. I basically go to varrock center with a rare and some noob starts following. I lead them all around runescape saying that I am giving them money. Then I run to draynor jail guards and they die. I then rejoice at their death. Call me a tyrant...I dont care. Its addictive.

Why make a guide when the event is pretty self explanatory? I mean the instructions are all there already. Great guide though...just not seeing how it is useful after halloween.

I can get 48k per hour mining iron at alkharid. no kidding. tried and tested. 84/85 mining. 270k till runite time.

Wish I was P2P...But it seems like a good method. What is the xp/hour and the money/hour? I would rate the guide 8.5/10. Great pics and descriptions. If you have a good number like at least 35k xp per hour then this is an awesome guide.

Oh man....that stinks so bad....I am really sorry to hear that. This is entirely Jagex's fault. What if you had lag and accidentaly pressed the release button? There should be a confirm screen.

Ouch....hope you didnt lose anything valuable. The green path...try it from a non pk world like 43 or something. No one pk's in that world so use the green path to get to the yard. Then switch to a crowded world but not w17. That is designated as pk world by jagex.

Spamming? I am rating your guide by constructive criticism. Ok, I am standing in world 1 varrock bank at the Wiz g place. I am saying "Buying wiz g full 775k" No one is selling to me. What now? Do i just wait there until someone finally sells to me? I also see other people buying the set for 800k. Do I offer more?

Some of those prices are off.... Overall 5/10. You are merely listing buying and sellign prices of items. Tell us how exactly we can buy the items at those prices. I mean, saying it is one thing....doing it is totally different. I mean if it were that easy then everyone would do it and get rich. What tips can you share with us that help us obtain items at those prices? If you could answer that question for the wiz g and t robes, then I will take back what I said.

get your facts straight. they respawn almost instantly in full world. have you ever tried it? Prolly not. I never said it was the fastest nor the most efficient. The title says, "without a single gp." I even admitted that the best way is buying bones. But the price is 400-500ea. That stinks. 450gp for a measly 15xp. At my def...I can afford to take rune and risk it. Even if it is a lvl 126, in f2p the most he could hit is about 25. i have my protect prayers and food. I just runn south from 30-20 and bam...tele. Besides i am not saying that you take rune. Take dhide for all I care. I just take rune because I am more attentive that way. It keeps me on the edge of my seat and I am alert.
