I actually like the updates and I am a merchant. I can still make money. You just have to know how. Mild solutions that allow some RWT to go on is kinda stupid IMO. If they want to get rid of gold farmers, they must completely get rid of them. On dec 10, the autoers and gold farmers were nuked (spartan lasered, headshot, K.O.ed). I can log on to any world and see honest players at yew trees.

Nvm. Mods lock this thread. Jagex has fixed RWT, so this suggestion is no longer viable. To those who dont understand the point of this suggestion: Before Dec 10 updates, there were too many autoers at the yew trees and that is bad for honest WCers and also hurts the economy. The gap at GE meant that autoers could easily bank their yew logs. Now that jagex has fixed the problem...I see it as a benefit for WCers.

Any who I remembered when I had a ZGS, and lord behold, I sold it for 37M when the price was down, demand seemed to be be going down, but, eh...I bought a Santa for 20.5, It's around 22.6-.8 now, so, it's all good. thanks everyone. i will post my bank pic soon. reached 30m today. thnx to merchanting and rune mining. funny story when mining: i use two scouts. i log in with anim7 on a world with no pkers. but the instant i log on, i get attacked by a lvl 105 ranger/meleer. i run west into multi combat and down to lvl 40. i then start walking. meanwhile my prayer is on range protect. the pker then pulls out a scimmy and bam 19. i put on melee protect. and so i kept switching prays until lvl 20 wild. i am still walking all the way and he is hitting 0s and 5s. i was so scared at lvl 46 wild, but turns out 71 def + dhide = no death.

Hey. For a long time, I wanted a green mask and 85 mining and 100 combat. Two of those goals are done. Here is me getting 85 mining today at rune rocks. My rare goal was accomplished a couple months ago, but never got the chance to take a screenshot. So here is a pic of me buying a santa. Pre GE and PreDuel arena update of course.... Sold that santa for 23.5 a few hours before staking was ruined. I am a rares merchant, so I have had up to blue mask. My bank pic is coming soon. I will post it as soon as I reach 30m net worth. Shouldnt be too hard..with 85 mining :D 500k more till I hit 30m. Future goals: 100 combat - too lazy to AFK flesh crawlers... Well said. These morons still will say that their combat is better. And if your combat is higher they will say that your total lvl sucks. And then, we you finally get 126/2277....people say "n00b. u r 4 n3rd. y u have such high levels nerd."

I am thinking that GE will raise prices for about a day or so. I mean, the RSOF is filled with people still trying to sell santas for 23m ea. Then, there are those who are like "amen to you. save the rares...raise the prices...". I am thinking that on the first day of GE, people will put their santas 22-23ea. From what jagex has said, we just set a price and put in it the GE and wait for a buyer. Thus, it kinda eliminates bargaining (two way negotiation) and people will give in to pressure and buy the item. I am taking my chances and trying to buy a santa 18.5-18.7. The update will most likely occur tomorrow. and so tonight, prices should be rock bottom.

Preupdate santa prices: 23.8 After update: prices went to 18.7 within a day. Then prices started going back up to 22m. then they are down to 21.8m again... now, they are around 20-20.5m very unstable. staking is a very important part of p2p. members stake eerything from gp to phats. Suddenly jagex decided to put a tentative market price on rares and put a 3k gp cap on staked amount. Players could no longer get rich quick unless they entered tournaments.

we are lucky man. i ended the day with 27m cash instead of buying a santa. would have lost 2-3m but thank goodness i sold mine for 23.4 the day before the crash. Then, on the day when santas reached 18.7, i bought one from the same guy i sold to for 23.4. I felt so sorry for him so i offered him 1k iron ore extra. lol. great phat.

I have tested this with earth strike. earth staff. full addy. 10k mind and 10k airs. cost me about 240k but used only a little bit of those runes. randoms were limited and I was training my other account in another world while doing this. perfectly legal. i had sound off on my noob and sound on on my main. Fire strike is not economically sound. 240k gp/ 95k xp = 2.5gp per xp. airs@12ea, minds @12ea. I am a merchant, so I can find airs 6-8ea and minds 10ea. At 7ea airs and 10ea minds, that is 170k gp for 95k xp or 1.84gp/xp. averaging 2gp per xp, it should cost 26mil to get to lvl 99 mage. Or...13 mil for 92 mage or 6.5m for 85 mage. Pretty sweet deal. Problems: takes time. you need patience. 9 hours to get 95k xp. I only did it for 1 hour though. Too boring. for 99, 1.3mil casts needed. at average of 3 sec per cast, it should take 1083 hours or 45 days.

No way. The chat owner went to world 1 and begged peoople to join his chat. That is not analogous to a forum thread AT ALL. A forum thread for selling rares means, the seller has the item and puts a price on it and waits for someone to buy it/offer. Clan chat is totally different.
