  1. last I checked : Sharks are 12k xp per hour and 115k cash per hour Monkfish are 35k xp per hour and 105k cash per hour Suggest you do monkfish even though you are looking for better cash, the faster xp will make you level faster and in the end you will achieve better cash per hour rates.
  2. Total value increases from woodcutting, mining and monster drops (coins, alchable items and hides). GPs are actually coming from coins monster drops, alchemy and selling to shops (and trading to specific NPC). A GS might be worth 20-70 mil, it does not bring any GPs to the economy until it is alched for a ridiculously low price.
  3. As for Evil Trees... I usually join a CC specifically for those and hop when someone calls a tree I want to cut and burn, once I get my reward, tele to lumby and use my leprechaun banking bonus at the 4 yews west of lumbridge castle. It is probably one of the most efficient way to use that bonus. If you are lucky, you can get 60 minutes of no banking per day which will improve your xp rates by about 10% for that time period.
  4. Fly fishing is only 10% faster and a quarter of the profit mons would yield. Stick to piscatoris until 99 and use either an ibis or granite lobster familiar while either using fish potions or admiral pies. I get around 35k xp and 110k gp per hour at monks with pies and ibis at 93 fishing. Fly fishing is closer to 40k xp and 30k gp per hour at Shilo with the same set-up. Do not bother with cage lobsters, tunas/swords and sharks. trust me I tested them all.
  5. very balanced stats and quite impressive. Good job Mr Editor.
  6. Seriously dude, awesome guide. Whenever I feel like star hunting, I check your guide for locations and I recommend it to fellow star hunters. Keep up the good work.
  7. Party hats being lower than 2 years ago only means they are not the prime status items anymore. The spirit shields are more rare at the moment and actually serve a purpose other than showing off wealth. There are so many expensive and useful items nowadays that you can choose what you want to buy as a status item. As said previously, the economy is actually more alive today than it was before the G.E. I remember alching most of my rune items because of lack of motivation to log into w2 and type endlessly "selling item X". Some items had previously no market (farming payments, 1-2 doses potions). Sorry to burst your bubble, but there is an economy. If you think it's a big sham perpetrated by Jagex, then it's only an assumption and here's my opinion : you're wrong.
  8. i wouldnt agree with average player having 10 mil... alot of lower leveled account are members now that barely have 100-250k just a thought #-o My bank is worth 300 mil... So basically 29 low level members and me average to 10 mil. You can find people with a bank worth a lot more, so I feel the 10 mil average is pretty sound.
  9. don't you need face mask at the well? I imagine dharoking there would not be pretty efficient.
  10. I agree with TheDay on those, being that Jagex handled the RWT pretty poorly (adding new updates to compensate for flaws - d stones, lumby chest, bh revamping...) and that skill capes add a perverse effect on the game. The thing is though, players were the one asking for a status item showing 99 in a skill. I don't think Jagex is too blame for this, but the average player is. I must also add that I don't really care about skill capes as I own a fire cape which is still better than these.
  11. Isn't PJing way old? I seem to have experienced that a lot a mage bank since RS2 was released... It's not about age or anything, it's about the person in front of the computer. There was more scamming a couple years back and I don't care if it was a 12 years-old, a high school graduate or a lawyer playing on his free time, a scammer is a scammer no matter what. Blaming the younger generation is short-sighted but that doesn't mean that saying teens are more immature than adults wrong... It's plainly obvious that when you compare both population sample, that statement will remain true. Statistical analysis will show that in a population, you'll have dumb people, bright people and "average" people. In the adult one, you'll get the average person to be more mature than the average teen because of life experience and education. This is how life goes, you'll have lots of teens more mature than adults, but you will find more adults to be more mature than teens. Translating this to the game, the people ranting assume that the general population of RS is now younger and therefore less mature. It's an assumption that I don't approove because of lack of proof, but it's a possibility.
  12. Well they are already profitable... The beaver will break even mostly, but it's real use is the wc boost. Magpie only exists to produce gems and rings and you can expect around 8-10k profit per 35 minutes pouch. Fruit bats are the perfect farming producing familiar, generating from 10k to 20k per 45 minutes pouch. I think those are mostly balanced and the only cons are the action-stoping teleports or item producing. If the item gathering would work like granite lobster or ibis when fishing, it would be fixed.

    Slayer Sucks

At gargoyles, if you have a SGS for specs, a healing familiar is pretty much overkill and a beast of burden is a good alternative as the drops tend to add up (mith and steel bars). The t-bird for example will give you added space and minimal faster kills, which is much better than a bunyip. Lower levels will probably need the hp regen more than added space though.
  14. agreed, no need to stop doing what you are doing when your familiar produces something. Hopefully something Jagex will look into when (if) they ever plan on upgrading summoning.
  15. It does not increase your chances of getting to spin that rare wheel, but if on that rare wheel, there are crap drops, and it increase your chance of getting a quality drop on that wheel, then by definition it increases your chance for a "rare good" drop. As we don't know the full mechanics, all we do is pure speculation.
  16. black hides, nose peg/slayer helm fury/glory/salve (e) ammy best gloves you have fire cape/skill cape (t)/ god cape defender whip/dds specs ring of your choice inventory : 1 super set fill the rest with monk have a beast of burden filled with monks also There you go, cheap inventory, that's what I always do (2 trips each task, banking the good stuff).
  17. The ring of wealth probably works. If you have one, wear it. If you have a warrior ring or berserker ring, then you have to ask yourself if faster kills and experience will counter-balance the lesser rate of rare drops "in the long run". If you don't have these, then stick with the ring of wealth. It's mostly a matter of choice as I've never seen any in-depth analysis of the ROW, while the warrior ring and berserker ring can be studied pretty easily with a couple hours of training.
  18. Well I can probably make some for you, but you have to realise that with spawn time on a busy world, you can't get more than 80-90 nightshade per hour. Add in the time to break the coconuts, fill the milk into vials and then you can start making the potion. If your plan is to buy 80k weaon poison ++, one supplier is simply not enough. I suggest you stick with the G.E. They are a great money maker fro herblore, you are bound to get some sellers via the G.E. In fact, stick with the G.E., with exams coming soon, I'll probably spend my RS time fishing and studying.
  19. I have no idea how fast they buy, but being one of those procuding them, I can tell you they sell pretty fast. Sold 200 under 3 minutes yesterday. Would have made more, but ran out of alching materials at cave nightshade spawn...
  20. Sure this game has evolved into user-friendly territory and safety-first concept, but it doesn't mean it's all that bad, the home teleport is something I use almost every slayer task to recharge prayer. I agree that common sense should be learned by experience and some features like the wilderness ditch were un-needed as you had warnings before going into the wild prior to it. I still think it's a great game, RWT ruined it and it caused the trade limits. The grand exchange is pretty good for players like me who hate standing in a crowded world spamming "selling whips 1,4mil" repeatedly. Sorry you feel this way about the game, people change, games change, adapt or quit. To me, this game is light-years away from the crappy classic I started playing.
  21. No I don't mind. I like slayer.

    Slayer Sucks

AFK-ability should not be an issue here... It's in the same category of "possibility" of rare drops from high level slayer monsters (player preferences ). I think this thread has shown that slayer is not the most efficient way to train combat. But it comes pretty close enough that a player who wants to get his overall skills up should train slayer. Of course the percentage of player that will hit 2376 total levels is pretty low, but there is a lot of people that will aim for it without ever reaching it. Those will want to raise their slayer level and it is pretty faster to train combat via slayer than maxing combat and doing slayer once you're 138.
  23. Ahhh my bad, I get it. I have to admit it's kinda playing with the variables... but I'll concede it!
  24. 49K per hour with melee? Seriously? I thought armored zombie were 100K xp and 170K profit? That would put melee ahead of mage and in comparison to ranged, you would have to value money vs xp.
