  1. Especially if you use your spec to heal hp and prayer (SGS, granite mace, excalibur enhanced) or hit more or harder (dds, BGS, AGS, d long, d mace, d claws...etc). IMO, using d baxe spec is a waste of other spec available.
  2. congrats, Agility is a pain for me and i plan on getting most my levels from tears and circus...sigh 12k xp per week... I don't see past 80 for the next year! Awesome agi and mining cape
  3. 99 prayer and RC... very nice. Those are nice 99s.
  4. Very impressive indeed taking into account you have somewhat "low" cooking and fletching. All skills 75+ is also impressive, the only black spot is the non members period you find yourself in... G luck with your goals.
  5. grats on the level, not particularly impressive, but every level is a step to maxing out. The blue charms are indeed impressive, because they are such good experience; people tend to use them right away, seeing a nice pile like that is cool.
  6. Very impressed by the fish, agility and RC lvls. I don't like str-based characters, but to each its own. Nice bank value and total level. have a nice vacation!
  7. depending on the G.E., the best items for supercompost are usually low lvl tree roots and calquat fruit
  8. all skils 80+ is pretty impressive good job
  9. I had a goal of getting 2100 that I reached 2 weeks ago. The next step is getting all skills 70+ that I plan on getting in the next 2 weeks. I just unloaded my 150M GPs on some skills that I finally plan on buying. I'm looking at getting 90 smithing, 95 fletching with the bolts I will make and 99 magic from enchanting. I plan on getting 74 hunter for ninja implings and at least 87 herblore from slayer herbs and farming that i plan to get to 99 this summer (got 95 doing it the profitable way, now I feel like burning some cash). I'll probably unload a couple dozen mils on crafting to get it to 90 also. All in all, I plan on getting 2150 at the end of the summer if no new skills are released.
  10. I understand how frustrating it is if a cannon takes the majority of the exp or the last hit, but honestly, if you get the kill then it is quicker Slayer exp for you and with a drop as well. We don't have much control over cannons. I was actually saying that it is stupid to refer to campers as ignorant or intentionally ruining others experiences, when Slayers often do exactly the same thing when they cannon tasks such as Dagannoths. 15 minutes for a dagannoths task with cannon... I'd gladly ruin 15 minutes of someone's life for a swift task.
  11. What defines me is my ugly half-bald monk-looking green hair and beard. The fact that I don't have a training outfit and will usually look pretty noobish when skilling. I guess I'm a true slayer because I kept on slaying past 99 for the enjoyment of the skill.
  12. What is slower? Fighting for spawns and hopping in the tower... or clicking 1-2 inches farther in the abyssal plane? I agree with the more spawns for slayer part though.
  13. Fairy plane ALR, it's better.
  14. here's some numbers that I crunched a while back... I used to make 135k per hour mining essence at 81 mining when pure ess were 140 ea. Do the math for prices today. Since logs price have been stable since my last test : I made 120K per hour cutting magics (22.5k xp per hour) at 92 WC I made 110k per hour cutting yews (41k xp per hour) at 92 WC
  15. Last time I checked, these jars were more expensive than empty jars... and they sometimes break when you open them. You are better off buying the jars themselves.
  16. I feel pretty lame replying after Jettrider because my post will be much shorter and his post reflects a lot of preoccupation to a number of high level slayers. Camping is by all means a matter of choice, you can either train combat through slayer all the way, or camp at several monsters (waterfiends for charms, green dragons for money, armored zombies for xp and abby demons... for balanced training). Of course, filling the upper level of slayer tower makes the slayer angry (fairy rings code ALR seems better IMO...), but everyone has the right to fight what they want. I respect the fact that you are doing what the hell you want, but in my perspective, a camper is a lazy player that just sits his hero in a place and just kills stuff. I met a ton of campers who would stay there for hours (without banking herbs and gems, without getting more potions when they would run out....talk about lack of efficiency). Yeah it is generalizing for all based on a couple cases, but that's how it looks from my perspective. Adding a couple more monsters to the most crowded ones who solve a lot of friction between players though... kalphites and abby demons are the first to come to mind.
  17. With a ranking system and an XP-driven community, spending millions to level skills is not that surprising. The fact that the supplier is getting a nice chunk of profit is also unsurprising ( just look at smithing, the smelters profits while the smithers spend). Like you mentionned; there are ways to profit from herblore, but these are few and not very easy to achieve compared to buying and mixing. Herblore has always been hard to level prior to the G.E., now it's easier but you have to choose between wealth and experience.
  18. slayer rings are very useful, but they cost a lot. Let's say you plan on using 100 rings during your RS "career"... cost of gold bar ~ 200 gp x 100 = 20 000 gp cost of gem = 1 gp x 100 = 100 gp The marginal cost would be 20 100 gp for 800 teleports... so 26 gps per teleport...not so bad eh? Now let's add the opportunity cost of those slayer darts runes you chose to sacrifice for that ability. 300 slayer pts (ability) / 35 slayer pts (runes) = 8,5 stacks of runes 8.5 stacks X 250 = 2125 deaths and 8500 minds value of runes = 637 500 gp for deaths at 300 ea 85 000 gp for minds at 10 ea total cost of 800 teleports = 742 600 gp meaning a cost of 928 gps per teleports Before buying that ability, ask yourself if you plan of using those rings a lot, if these teleports are worth the cost...etc
  19. good job and nice balanced stats. I'm closing in on all skills 70+, but only because I gave myself a huge kick in the butt to finally start hunter the proper way this week (got most of my lvls from 31 - 65 hunter through tears of guthix).
  20. yeah the only reason someone should wear initiate is not having the proper quest done.
  21. nice mage and abby heads, The rest is pretty average, but I guess you don't like skilling... Camping is a choice though, I see a lot of people dissing camping that will suggest training ranged at aviansies, or combat at armored zombies...
  22. Last I checked, Proselyte gave a better prayer and defence bonus than initiate which in turn gave a similar prayer bonus but better defence than monks robes... Someone correct me...or praise me. I am pretty sure monk robes have better prayer bonus than initiate (at least the bottoms do). ~Dan I just checked tip.it's prayer guide... monk's and initiate have the same prayer bonus, be it bottom or top. Proselyte has only the top with a better prayer bonus, the "cuisse" or legs has a similar +5 prayer bonus that initiate legs and monks bottom share.
  23. Last I checked, Proselyte gave a better prayer and defence bonus than initiate which in turn gave a similar prayer bonus but better defence than monks robes... Someone correct me...or praise me.
  24. By that logic, ahrim's armour is overrated because zuriel's is better. Or adamant armour is overrated because rune armour has better bonuses. The cost per hour of Zuriel makes it worse than Ahrim for trainning purpose. Rune armour is better than adamant in the long run because the initial investment will be compensated by better combat rates (less need of food, less banking time which meqns more fighting time, which meqns more drops). The same logic can be applied to the Torso. Taking the time to get a torso over the time to gather cash for Bandos or even getting proselyte body will result in the long run as a worse investment. Torso is also only better when fighting low attack monsters. Anything with high attack will result in eating more (cost), guthaning more (cost and loss of whip time), praying (no prayer bonus from the torso...) It's all a matter of calculating the time, costs and the illusive and uncalculable "player preference".
