F2p prayer is unreasonable
Wow, great post Alksei! Very well written and not at all hard to decipher! Seriously, have you ever cook before the x-feature was added? It was a pain in the wrist that I would give you, but it was also quicker. Knowing Jagex, adding a feature like this would not take a minute to implement. Look at all the bugs that are surfacing lately at about every update. Please, if you are gonna exagerate when posting, make sure you don't look like a fool anymore, there are people reading this. The only thing Jagex should do to get more members is make their member game so entertaining that only fools would not pay to get added benefits. If they make their free game too fun, the F2Pers would be satisfied and have no incentive to get members. The OP has played this game for several years, you could say that he probably loves playing this game, yet he hasn't upgraded to members... Does that mean he's not satified with the game? If he were to get that update, would he be satified enough to get members? You could bet on it that he would still stay F2P. Once again Alksei, I praise your powerful debating skills. I can't wait to see you destroying my arguments with your technical grammar and your skillful use of the capital letters.

F2p prayer is unreasonable
I would simply have no use for something like that as every members would. Having to go through an interface to bury my dragon bones while slaying would be pretty inneficient and a real pain in the wrist! We already have worship-x and offer-x that offer better xp per bone, this feature would be as useless as silverlight. I wouldn't want Jagex to devote enegy on this while neglecting some new skills, quests or minigames.

NEW! Should skillcapes become f2p items
I seriously wouldn't mind F2P having toned down skills capes. No equipment stats for example. They shouldn't have acess to the 2nd and 3rd most useful cape in the game. They can have fun with the emotes all they want until the next update.

F2p prayer is unreasonable
You are a funny one Maur. If playing RS hinders your performance at guitar, you should make a choice between the 2. This is a game, something you should enjoy. Looks like you are not enjoying prayer trainning, solution : don't train it. I too play guitar and if playing RS would cripple me, then I'd stop right away. No matter how close I'd be to a F2P "legend". My health is more important than some internet status. Sure you can make suggestion, I can also reply that it's not a great priority to implement this for the player base as not many paying costumers would benefit from this. I'm not an angry member, I'm just saying that what you are asking should not be a priority. This is something useful only for hardcore F2P players who train prayer, those who usually never support the game by paying for upgrades. In your country, who has the better chance to have a word with your president? A dirt poor kid or a wealthy and influencial business man? It's all about context. So from your point of view, F2Pers are less fortunate? From my point of view, they are simply not willing to pay for members benefits. You keep talking about your full game... where is your highscore? Tip.it's forums... pretty far from the main website. Where are posted your full game news? Ohhhh that's right, they are often included in the midst of our news, a tiny part when that happens.

Skillcapes - Advantageous or Disadvantageous?
It's a matter of personnal choice. Not everyone powertains, not everyone skills to obtain a cape. Getting a trimmed cape also gives you the second best cape in the game and the best prayer bonus from the cape slot. If you think you're wasting your life playing a game, you should quit. I don't think skill capes ruined the market, the end skill have always been at a loss ever since they introduced the x-features.

A question regarding Prayers, and Magic Defence.
Sorry anthonyL, but Jagex clearly said that magic defence is affected by 3 things: - defense level - magic defense bonus from equipment - magic level I think his question is fair and your answer doesn't explain how higher defense is better than magic.

F2p prayer is unreasonable
I simply click on the bones while fighting them, timing my click as to not miss a whip hit. Sorry, that would definitely be a useless feature for me and top serious slayers.

F2p prayer is unreasonable
If you don't like trainning the skill, then you are not enjoying your time playing. This is a game. When you are not having fun, you are not playing, you are working. I would only see such behavior from someone who is playing to gain a status. What I really don't get is why someone who enjoy this game so much (top player gotta mean something right?) would not pay to access all the features members has to offer. The crumbles of our table are so cheap that I fail to see how someone could not find a way to raise the money to pay for it. Like someone said in another post : skip 2 hamburgers or a 6-pack of beer or a pack of cigarette or one movie rental a month and you're set for members.

F2p prayer is unreasonable
ohhh I'm gonna have a fun time replying to all these posts! Jagex have no interest in updating something that won't benefit their paying costumers, that would piss off too many paying costumers and make some of them leave while cathering to non paying costumer will only encourqge them to not suscribe. F2Pers choose not to pay and benefits from members features and upgrades. I know Jagex could do that, it's their game. They could upgrade more features for F2P if they wanted, but that would be a bad business move. First rule of business : keep the costumer happy while making money. I am a costumer, F2Pers are not. They are simply enjoying a ride, not THE RIDE. When I'm doing slayer, I don't waste time burying bones unless they gives at least 30 xp... Sorry but it would not be a ground breaking upgrade to members. All X-features are slower than clicking used to be. I wouldn't want to waste my time with an interface while slaying, I want top effiiciency. Sorry Quelmotz, but this is a sad post. I don't want Jagex to spend their time on F2P because I pay to play for added benefits. You may call that greed and selfishness but I could turn it back on all you asking for F2P upgrades as whinners, cheap and undeserving of Jagex attention. If Maur doesn't want to get carpal tunnel from trainning prayer, I strongly suggest he becomes member as trainning the skill will take less time and he will have a varied gameplay to access.

F2p prayer is unreasonable
It's mostly a matter of opinion, sure F2P is a full game, but in comparison to P2P it's a pretty small-sized game. I'd say it's an incomplete version of a full game.

F2p prayer is unreasonable
I'll say this again, we have no need for bury-x because we have already worship-x at both houses altars and the ecto-thingy. If you keep insisting that F2P is a full game on its own and have no link to P2P whatsoever, then keep this is mind: it's a free game with limited updates, what you propose is something so very few players have a use for (the crippled account players who wants to max out F2P), the majority of F2Pers would have a better use of updates to the combat triangle than anything else. A free game should be rant-free.

Help test a game in Cambridge
They probably have lots of beta testers on the payroll. What they lack is the behavior of kids and mid teens and since they can't hire them... I would bet that these kids who will show up for testing are established players and not some random kids. People are jumping to wrong conclusions a lot on these boards.

Help test a game in Cambridge
I don't know if it's been mentionned in the thread yet, but Jagex probably already have enough testers that are of working age. This is a call to people they can't hire to test: kids and teens. Just because they are looking for this demographic to test something doesn't mean that this is their target demographic. For those who wish that they asked them to test their updates, I'm pretty sure you could simply apply for a job in Cambridge and hope you get pick. I don't know what the fuzz is with people being annoyed by their target demographic so much. I mean what do you want them to say? Would you want them to state : Our target demographic are young males ages 12 to 25 who are scared of girls, live with their parents and would rather play on the computer than hang out with friends on a friday night... Just throw your insecurities out the window and enjoy the game.

Why slayer?
@ Ravian If we were to follow your logic, everyone would be training at Armored Zombies, colored dragons or Aviansies. These places would get crowded pretty fast.

everything just a little more impossilbe
I agree with Ray that it's overreacting to say that people are gonna quit over this. This is yet another rant on price manipulation which is kinda totally justified, but from there people have generally 3 choices. 1- Wait for Jagex to fix this problem 2- Move to another skill while the market is stabilizing 3- Keep paying top price and act like nothing's happening I would suggest #2, it's part of my adapt and evolve mentality.

Should F2P get skill capes?
4 I'd say unlikely, but not impossible. There would be lots of cash to be made from that feature. This has no link whatsoever to RWT, I don't know how you would make a connection between those 2.

Slayer Cannonballs
Beat me to it by about 15 seconds. He'll just be more convienced!
-
shared or accurate..
I was about to post something in the lines of what tongobongo wrote. It all depends on if you are training on low-mid level monsters or high level monster (usually slaying). If you are camping a low level monster and do not need to bank or eat food, training agressive skills (str and att) first then going with def will be faster as you will get higher xp rates while not needing the added defense. If you are training at places where defence is a factor, the training controlled is probably a better choice as defense will come into play to give you better xp rates (less eating-guthaning - less banking). I'd advise going controlled as you won't have to downgrade from the whip.

Slayer Cannonballs
just buy them in 5k batches and you will get a feel on how many you will need. If you use your cannon on every opportunity, you'll end up needing more but if you only use them for kalphites, dagganoths and scarabites, you might not have to order more often. Either way; they are easy to buy overnight and since you will need to visit the G.E. often to sel your loots, this won't hinder your progress.

Hypocrites
sorry to burst anyone's bubble but these guys are going for post count and it's pretty obvious with the way they are spamming the rants forum with one sentence post and +1 posts. And it's pretty obvious you've never read any of the quelmotz/ratchet arguments. Seriously, read some more of the rants forum before you decide that certain people are just spammers. Edit: *points to your one-sentence post* And you aren't? I was gunning for Essorath and quelmotz mostly as I found lots of spamming matches between those two either in the rants forum or the debate club. I'm an avid reader of the rants forum because we used to have pretty interesting thread called Slayer sucks but since the OP quit TIF, the rants are not that impressive anymore and the debates, rarely supported. I'm not blaming Ratchet here but I have no idea why he/she is having a go at quelmotz. BTW, when I log in the rants forum and the first 5-10 topics have been last answered by the same person, it's an easy way to spot a spammer or someone reaching for higher post counts.

Pfft, just cause SOME of my posts are [developmentally delayed] doesnt mean they all are \ . Its just the rants forum is pretty boring atm. I didn't say they are all spams, but you get my point. I have to agree with you that the rants form is pretty boring lately... ever since some "unnamed" mod had a go at Compfreak and kinda made him quit TIF.

Should F2P get skill capes?
You know what, I think F2P players should be able to get skill capes only if they have ever been members at one time in the past. That would be an incentive to F2Pers to become member for just one month to acquire some capes and this would inject a couple hundred thousands $ in Jagex coffers to invest in some interesting members update. Everybody wins except every F2Pers that wants a cape, they'd lose 6-10$... not that big a cost IMO.

Jagex' way with Scape.
Interesting topic. I think monsters should not drop things that can be acquired through gathering skills (either ores, bars, logs, unfinished ores...etc), but should drop more items you need to gather through non xp activities (2nds for herblore, summoning, vials of water....etc). This would slightly revitalize some gathering skills and give an incentive to train them instead of bypassing them by going to the transformation skill first. I'm not saying they should reduce the value of monster drops, only that they change the items you get. Eliminating or reducing the no-XP chores is something I look forward to.
