  1. I agree with Ray that it's overreacting to say that people are gonna quit over this. This is yet another rant on price manipulation which is kinda totally justified, but from there people have generally 3 choices. 1- Wait for Jagex to fix this problem 2- Move to another skill while the market is stabilizing 3- Keep paying top price and act like nothing's happening I would suggest #2, it's part of my adapt and evolve mentality.
  2. 4 I'd say unlikely, but not impossible. There would be lots of cash to be made from that feature. This has no link whatsoever to RWT, I don't know how you would make a connection between those 2.
  3. Beat me to it by about 15 seconds. He'll just be more convienced!
  4. I was about to post something in the lines of what tongobongo wrote. It all depends on if you are training on low-mid level monsters or high level monster (usually slaying). If you are camping a low level monster and do not need to bank or eat food, training agressive skills (str and att) first then going with def will be faster as you will get higher xp rates while not needing the added defense. If you are training at places where defence is a factor, the training controlled is probably a better choice as defense will come into play to give you better xp rates (less eating-guthaning - less banking). I'd advise going controlled as you won't have to downgrade from the whip.
  5. just buy them in 5k batches and you will get a feel on how many you will need. If you use your cannon on every opportunity, you'll end up needing more but if you only use them for kalphites, dagganoths and scarabites, you might not have to order more often. Either way; they are easy to buy overnight and since you will need to visit the G.E. often to sel your loots, this won't hinder your progress.

sorry to burst anyone's bubble but these guys are going for post count and it's pretty obvious with the way they are spamming the rants forum with one sentence post and +1 posts. And it's pretty obvious you've never read any of the quelmotz/ratchet arguments. Seriously, read some more of the rants forum before you decide that certain people are just spammers. Edit: *points to your one-sentence post* And you aren't? I was gunning for Essorath and quelmotz mostly as I found lots of spamming matches between those two either in the rants forum or the debate club. I'm an avid reader of the rants forum because we used to have pretty interesting thread called Slayer sucks but since the OP quit TIF, the rants are not that impressive anymore and the debates, rarely supported. I'm not blaming Ratchet here but I have no idea why he/she is having a go at quelmotz. BTW, when I log in the rants forum and the first 5-10 topics have been last answered by the same person, it's an easy way to spot a spammer or someone reaching for higher post counts.

Pfft, just cause SOME of my posts are [developmentally delayed] doesnt mean they all are \ . Its just the rants forum is pretty boring atm. I didn't say they are all spams, but you get my point. I have to agree with you that the rants form is pretty boring lately... ever since some "unnamed" mod had a go at Compfreak and kinda made him quit TIF.
  8. You know what, I think F2P players should be able to get skill capes only if they have ever been members at one time in the past. That would be an incentive to F2Pers to become member for just one month to acquire some capes and this would inject a couple hundred thousands $ in Jagex coffers to invest in some interesting members update. Everybody wins except every F2Pers that wants a cape, they'd lose 6-10$... not that big a cost IMO.
  9. Interesting topic. I think monsters should not drop things that can be acquired through gathering skills (either ores, bars, logs, unfinished ores...etc), but should drop more items you need to gather through non xp activities (2nds for herblore, summoning, vials of water....etc). This would slightly revitalize some gathering skills and give an incentive to train them instead of bypassing them by going to the transformation skill first. I'm not saying they should reduce the value of monster drops, only that they change the items you get. Eliminating or reducing the no-XP chores is something I look forward to.
  10. If everyone has the power to report that easily, everyone will be on their toes and force themselves to not use offensive language and break the rules. What's wrong with people not breaking the rules? If you wanna use offensive language, or unnappropriate language for kids, find some other form of channels to get the message across. Clan chats are designed for RS and RS rules are mostly PG. This is annoying, but we all have to live with it. I'm all for a censor and rules compared to unsupervised chats where you get the worst from everyone.

  12. Another combat driven character quitting. G luck with your troubles. At least if you come back, your bank will be pretty well organized.
  13. yeah one of the most impressive bank I've seen so far. These banks are always owned by skillers. About the pure ess... did you buy those or got them from mining-monster drops?
  14. Yeah ... too bad Jagex fixed this. He won't get the kill. Weird, tried it with a friend near the G.E. might be because I didn't teleport... Someone else killed me and my friend got the drop...
  15. Totally true, but since there are a lot of teenagers playing this game, it's not surprising to see them asking for advice on personnal insecurity issues on these boards. The best advice I have for them: grow it out, it won't matter in a couple of years.
  16. sadly even with protect prayer, claws will sometimes kill me or the whip hits during the 10 seconds safe zone.
  17. Everyone who has experienced PVP worlds knows what a teleport/G.E. rushers is: waits for someone to teleport and rushes them with either claws, dds, some even ice burst you. They usually choose their prey wisely (those without protection in terms of armors). I usually die 50% of the time when I get rushed so, wisely, I don't carry anything on me when going to the G.E. or teleporting to varrock. This results in either me having to teleport back or having to get some food from the bank to get back at max health. This leaves the rusher with wasted specs and runes every time. After a couple deaths and near deaths I decided to fight back... but not the PKing way. When I get rushed and survive to the bank, I retrieve 76K and leave my char at low health. I then teleport to fally and get killed there. The rusher gets a kill but have no idea where the loot is and wastes his EP. So tip.it, how do YOU fight back?
  18. Kudos to Jagex for their quick response to this problem. For all those still asking for protect item, start by reading why it was removed. Gaining EP through a safe situation is not really what Jagex had in mind when they released PVP worlds. Now they have a +1 world for all the sissy rushers and pjers and the real risky worlds for those who want a challenge. Expect some tweaks in the following weeks has emergent gameplay surfaces. A message to all those who are still asking for the old pking system along with the removal of trade limits... get over it already, it's not coming back!
  19. Great of them to have finally explained it all. I'll just avoid the PJ bounty world. They should explain these corrective updates more quickly from now on. Once again; hats off to Jagex for their tweaking of this game.
  20. Whips, Godswords, d boots, barrows will all drop for the simple reason that more people will avoid PVP and go to these places instead to make money. The supply will make these items go down in price, and all levels will have the opportunity to buy these cheaper. PVP weapons and armor will probably rise or stabilize depending on how many pkers will use these items. the supply will surely fall but let's wait and see how demand evolves.
