At 90 fishing I got these results, shilo : 36k xp per hour with something like 25-30k profit monkfishs : 32k xp per hour with 105-110k profit per hour. substract the cost of 2 fish potion for both. Bear in mind that these were done without fishing boosting familiars...

Since I bought a Sara GS for slayer lately and I have 99 def, I found myself with "too much def" (meaning I would heal more with GS spec than monsters would hurt me). So I sold my guthan set and bought bandos for added prayer and str bonus and found myself with adequate defence for most monsters and a slight bonus in xp rates. At the pace I'm going lately, I'd gladly trade 10-20 defence for 1-2 more str bonus and still have enough def in conjunction with the healing effect of my GS. I don't think I'm dumb for choosing bandos over dragon as, in my case, it would be "too much def". BTW, I mostly slay for combat so this applies only to slayer with high def skill.

I wish they'd introduce ways for non members to gather 2nds for summoning and herblore that have no use to them except to sell to members. Making all 2nds lower in price for the members benefits and a new way for f2pers to make money. Yeah, they deserve to make us members happy.

I only cannon 2 tasks... Daganoths under the lighthouse and Kalphites lvl 85. There are more than enough daganoths for at least 3-4 players under the lighthouse. I'll set up my cannon there without a word and leave 15 minutes later. If there is another slayer at Kalphites, I'll hop 2-3 times and then settle for the first world without a cannon "kicking" the meleer with a "sorry mate - I've hopped too many times already". But I won't feel bad about it. If the meleer stays, too bad for him and good for me as I'll be getting "half-kills" faster.

Training using controlled with the whip is better as long as there is no way to gain the same (or higher) xp/hour for strenght. I don't know the rates for sara sword for str, or how it compares to GS but from what I tested, whip still beats those on normal training. I'd advise training on controlled and DDS spec-ing on str. Make up the gap on the last levels 97-99, that's what I did and I didn't regret it. Just crossed the 29 mil XP in HP last week end. Edit: after seeing Utimalballr's last post, I guess training individually is better IF you have the means to a SS (cash-wise). I'm pretty sure that the difference between controlled and individual is very slim given these conditions. It also depends on your choice of training (slayer, best xp/gp monsters, no def monster such as rock crabs) If you need to get defence is order to train efficiently (slayer, dragons, etc...), then obviously you need to level defence, but if you train on low level monsters, you can train attack and strenght to high levels before getting to defence (this way you gain faster XP rates).

Yeah monks are better than lobbs in terms of money and xp. Fly fishing will give you a slight profit with more xp than monks and barbarian fly fishing will give you even more fishing xp but at no profit. If you are only considering lobsters and swordies, lobsters are better. Just use up your gloves than stick to lobbies. have fun fishing

yep, but anyone asking for ways to make 26 mil is a noob... Might as well give noob advice. Bank grinding is indeed gross and boring. But it also gives money... not right away but you eventually sell on the G.E. at an extremely nice profit.

Yeah RS is truly dead, I can't log in... please help me! It's all a matter of opinion, I like this game better now that there's less bots, no more RC pkers and no one getting supremely rich in matter of seconds 4 specing in the duel arena. That's my opinion and no one's gonna make me change it.

Debating and insulting is not the same thing. There's nothing wrong in trying to debating, but If you can't debate without resorting to offensive language, I suggest you use the ignore list. You also have to take into account that using offensive language to someone sitting on a chair in front of a screen that you can't see is not worth the risk to get a ban, mute or any black marks. I also found that using intelligent replies will deter any players trying to abuse me. Replying something that has no link to the abuse you're experiencing is also confusing to the abuser. i.e. -abuser : no-lifer noob! -me : my dad just died... -abuser : ...liar noob! -me : nice weather today... they usually stop after a while and I get a good chuckle trying to imagine them in front of their screen.

Pick or buy flax and spin into bow string. Will give you slow crafting xp at a profit. Mining pure ess in also nice money for low levels but bad xp. You could also mine gold ores and sell on the G.E. It's about as good as ess money-wise but you get around 3x the xp. Fishing anchovies is surprisingly good money seeing as they are used on pizzas. Telegrabing wine of zamorak west of goblin village on a crowded world is nice money and slow mage xp. Give those a try.

True but when you operate it you get a +1 bonus for a while which is usefull when woodcutting or fishing for example. Ever heard about fishing potion? admiral pie? the fish cape gives a rubbish bonus. As for woodcutting, I'm pretty sure ava's accumulator would give you more profit creating arrows than the +1 bonus. The only thing going for any skill cape is the prayer bonus (over fire cape) when trimmed and the thing people call "internet pride" for having a 99.

I put all my lamps, tomes and xp rewards in Runecrafting as it is one of the most slowest skill to train. You could also put your rewards in skill that cost the more per xp. Construction, prayer, summoning and herblore are good choices. One solution is to put those rewards on skill you hate and wouldn't train otherwise (I hate hunter and I like that my tears of guthix rewards help me every week to "train" hunter).

He was indeed the first to get 99 slayer just before farming came out actually. He was getting around 300k per day and was at least 500k xp ahead of and the #2 and that made him the first one to ever "max out". Then Jagex released farming like 2-3 weeks later.

There is a feature in-game called the ignore list. It helps a lot if you can't control yourself over internet insults. It's a bit like the DOTA games in warcraft : the skilled player will sometimes insult you 10 seconds before attacking you, so that you are angry and typing your reply when the attack comes...

y wouldnt u just use less food? Even with 5 tunas on an abyssal demons task I had too much food (Sara GS heals you with special in case you didn't know) ... Bandos improved my xp rates and I don't have to repair.

doing herbs means you'll be making profit and gain some xp... why not? they regrow as long as you don't use your spade on the stump and clear your patch. You can get anywhere from 1 to "infinity" logs before your tree is cut down (you can wait for spawn or clear it to plant another one)

It also depends of which monsters you fight, if you need defense or have to get more food to complete your task, then torag is your best solution. If you can sustain their attack with summon, pray and food, then stick with torso as you'll finish your task taster. I used to slay with guthans, but when I bought my sara GS, I found myself having too much def and food... So I "downgraded" to bandos in terms of def.

You can probably kill 2 1/2 blues per black... Especially if you have the spot in ogre enclave by yourself that you can alternate between 2 spawns. Blacks are really slow to kill.
